So which one is it, /sci/? Which of the two is based and redpilled?
>>10195972i always liked analysis better, but then again, i'm a physicsfag. i would guess that for people who only study math, then geometry has that "higher level and more intuitive" feel that i get from physics, but for me, when i'm doing math, i like to break it down into straight up numbers and sequences and series; the geometry aspect of math seems too abstract for me (and i would guess plenty of geometers think physics is too "abstract" in some sense)
>>10195972(you) are based and redpilled
>>10195972Inferior to topology.
Algebra >>10195972Algebra. Analysis is for autists.
>>10195972Algebra is a (symmetry group) circlejerk
>>10195972people in analysis are alpha as fuck, algebraists are always basedboys
>>10196067So you're saying analysis is redpilled?
>>10195972say it pepe
>>10195972Analysis all the way. Is that even a question?
>>10195972They’re both fun. I have to give some edge to analysis since I work heavily by visual intuition
Analysis. Everyone I know who studies algebra is a shut-in loser autist who only likes algebra because that's all they've been good at their entire loser life.
>>10195972analysis. algebra is fro women unironically
>>10198609Sorry, but this thread is for real mathematicians only.
>>10195972if you understand algebra well it's easy as fuck to make money
>>10195972never understood the appeal of analysis though, you need to attention span of an autistic kid
>>10198051>being so much in denial about the matrix
>>10195972asked the fool who has not seen the way of geometry.Algebra is the offer made by the devil to the mathematician. The devil says: `I will give you this powerful machine, it will answer any question you like. All you need to do is give me your soul: give up geometry and you will have this marvellous machine.'
>>10195972Algebra is based, but analysis is redpilled. Tough to choose between them
>>10200380easy. algebra is unbased and autistpilled, so pick analysis.algebraists literally sit in their fucking diapers all day playing with building blocks and they have the gall to call it math.analysts, i.e. real mathematicians, are respectable and mature.
If the math you are doing isn't utterly useless and impractical, it isn't intellectual.
>>10200390kekI'd like to hear your opinion on theoretical computer science then
