Do any of you know how to diagram origami? Is there like a graphics package to notate it digitally, or is the only option doing it by hand (a fucking nightmare)?

Dear anon, truth is there are no shortcuts. No matter which software you choose, the point stands: you have to draw each single step.

This being said, I used Inkscape. You may want to try Dia, or any software with vector graphics support.

It takes forever. The final model image is not a drawing, though, I took a picture and traced it.
try the TreeMaker
That's not a diagramming tool though.
Don't diagram. Diagram is for noobs. CP shows the true skill of a folder
drawnings are clean but why are you using this S shaped path ? And why didn't you put any text on the diagram ?
Not that anon who uploaded dragon.pdf, but S-shaped diagrams are easier to follow - just "walk" along the path as you fold.
Of course, regular left-to-right and top-to-bottom diagrams are often appreciated, because that's the usual way of reading a book in the western world.
To each his own.
(As for no text, that isn't really needed when diagram is clear and not targeting total beginners)

im doing home work by writing
i think its best that i organize my homework using a 3d cube like this.
unfortunately its only 4x4x4 does anyone have a clear blank template for a cuboid for 7x7x7 and upwards which i can then print out
whats wrong with them?.
Someone should apply deep learning style transfer or something to translate between photos of partially assembled origami and the illustration style of origami diagrams
i'm on it. will start 8 year college education now, intern at google, get on the deepmind team

will report back in 2030 keep this thread alive
