>>1451296Round thing is a weight to simulate food. Practicing for a week in the Himalayas. The hing on top is an agricultural tool kinda between a machete and thin ax. Good for splitting smaller bits of wood and deterring leopards.

>>1452456Fun police over here
>>1452418Shit lighting smooths out all the fabrics. The tent, sleeping bag, and tarp,as well as their stuff sacks are covered in nicks and stitched up in bits. Only stuff in pristine or near new condition are the pots, shovel, and bag
>>1451763We had a discussion about blown out baffles and expeds a while ago. After that I mailed Exped and told them what happened and where I got it. They said they improved the glueing process and they would arrange for a new one to be sent to me.So far so good, let's see if this one doesn't blow out a baffel too. But at least they have good customer service and that gives me some hope.
>>1452456found the buzzkill
>>1452528thats atleast nice to know their customer service is good, not to sound like a stuck record, but, with the previous exped stuff ive had, ive had no problems, but i will definitely post at the first sign of troublehave you used the snozzle bag? the pad came with it, i kinda like it, kinda hate it.""technically"" it can fill the pad in like 2.5 bags full of air, but, the part that goes from the bag, to the pad tends to twist
>>1452528>>1452575oh and, hope it doesnt sound like i dont believe you or something, im very glad that you made me aware of issues you´ve had. thank you
>>1452487and you good sir a man with an excellent eye for quality. i wear them hiking like a 14 year old wears their favorite tool t-shirt to school.
>>1452575I have the integrated pump in the mat, and I have a pillow from Exped that acts as a pump. The pillowpump is pretty handy for when the bed is all made up, and you can't be arsed to clear your sleeping gear from it and turn it on it's back again. Because of the tube.
>>1452590honestly personally i have never been a fan of inflatable pillows, i just stick my jacket or other unnecessary clothes in my sleepingbags compression sack, feel it gived me a much firmer pillow that dont slip away from me sleeping a whole night on one of the Carinthia buckles is a pain in the morning tho lol

>>1452784Because the ammo if far more heavy for 9mm ECTThe round will also genrally destroy anything too small to shoot with the Sako I have in pic relatedThe gun is very very light, reliable, and accurate, Not to mention 22 is very quiet Summed up it is a easy way for me to get game for food in a small compact light and efficient package
>>1452858Okay so long story Idk who or what type of axe it is all the markings say on it is >Made in Germany>"H_u_lt_ rs" Idk the logo is scratched a bit off And I also built a new handle for it so the original broke

>>1453080Ain't no Ghorkas in Himachal Pradesh.
>>1452978>>1453066He's right, it's a Czech M85 parka. And they are kind of hard to find in smaller sizes. I had to search for a while because I've got a slender build, and I ended up ordering one from a place called Mill's Fleet Farm which normally doesn't carry milsurp but they had some in stock labeled as small. It's still fairly large but I wear it over the top of whatever layers I'm wearing so it ends up fitting okay. It doesn't have many features but it stays nice and toasty

The tarp was folded up and wedged into the frame behind my back. the meals were in the radio section of the pack, the sleeping bag was put into a compression sack with the bivy and i wore some of those clothes. There are several pouches ont he outside of my ruck that i use aswell. i had four canteens on the waste strap for his outing.

This is what I carry in winter inb4 gearfag/fan boy I know what I am HPG Ute, kitbag, mountain serape, and windcheater. MLD duomid with a groundsheet from another tent, big agnes air core ultra, inflatable pillow, 15° sleeping bag, black diamond trecking pole. Rain shell (depending on weather), grid fleece top, long John's, extra tshirt, 2 pairs of socks, a buff, beanie, and ball cap. A knife, microspikes, headlamp, battery bank, water filter, 2 smartwater bottles plus and extra 1 liter water bag, small med kit, and a stove with a 700ml titanium cup. This will get me upwards of 3 nights out and If I need to go longer I toss a pocket on the front for extra food storage. In summer it's pretty much the same except no sleeping bag, fleece, long John's,or spikes. Depending on conditions I also may add an ice axe, snow shoes, or bivy sack

>>1455931I was thinking about buying that pack but it looks comically small. What's your opinion on it?

>>1456429T. Has never handled nor worn a hpg bag>"If people buy it it must be crap for being very popular"
>>1456446I haven't, nor do I need to do so to evaluate a product. The backpacks quoted in that post have shit ergonomics, and that won't change regardless of who the manufacture is.
>>1456450>I-i wouldn't change my opinion e-even if you prove me otherwise
>>1456450They are the most ergonomic packs I've ever worn, they're ultra comfortable and that's why I buy them. The yoke harnes evenly distributes weight across the shoulders and you custom bend the frame to contoured your back, it is the most comfortable carry I have ever found and I mod all my non hpg packs to take their shoulder harness because of that >>1456420It fits everything I need for a dayhike, jacket, gloves, water, food, and some other small things. If you're going to get one of their bags though I would for for the umlindi, its versatile as shit.
>>1451061Will I make it boys? It's the shit I got ready

>>1451061>carrying a puss pad>2 sleep systems>no food or water>gay belt>no change of underwear or undershirt>no spare socks
>>1456420It's bigger than it seems, not the same anon but I have the pack as well. It's a great option for EDC and you can carry everything you need with quick and easy access rather than having to dig around through a top-opening sack type pouch. It's about 25-30 liters, which fits everything I need for day trips, and I can clip or tie on sleep and shelter to the outside very easily. It's good for practicing packing with cause it teaches you to utilize space more effectively than other packs. It's also extremely comfortable, like really really comfortable, even at higher weights, and it cinches down very well and quickly. The reason I didn't go with the Umlindi like >>1456429 suggested is because it can't clip on to larger packs, which is my end goal and no vertical opening, like I mentioned.
