Can you think of another brand new car you can get with incentives down to $16,000 better than the Note Nismo?

Bet not.

Are we really going to do this? Really?

A base sentra is cheaper and doesn't look like a vagina on wheels
>>
>>20685420
Civic for $3k
>>
>>20685420
1: It's not sold in the US. US models are like 106 HP from the same engine
2: That thing requires premium to get that power.
3: Still a better buy than a $50k Sentra
>>
>>20685440
You’re clearly not factoring reliability into this. If you buy a 3K Civic it will only last you a year. Buy 5 of them for 5 years and you’ve reached the value of the Note. Factor in appreciation value and reliability and the Note is the better deal hands down once soaring gas prices are accounted for. It’s sad to admit but the Note Nismo is probably one of the best value/investments on the market.
>>
>>20685458
Tune the US version and you could probably pump out around 200 HP. Might not seem like a lot but consider the base A4 2.0T does that much. Combine that HP with weight distribution and you can easily pull 0-60 in 5 seconds with this little guy all while racking 50 MPG. Sure it doesn’t look that great but it’s not a bad buy for the price.

How about a 2002 Accord Coupe?

Yeah if you get car with zero service history and a leak. Not every used car is a Craigslist mystery meat special.
>>
>>20685528
There’s a reason it’s only 3K bud
>>
>>20685532
Age, although I'll concede Civics carry a Civic tax. My Accord was two owner and came with full service history and a rundown of any existing problems. And the $4k price included replacing engine mounts.
>>
>>20685420
Sentra Nismo at 26% APR and $750 down, I swear it'll keep its value

There's no aftermarket support for the 1.6L engine regardless. Good luck gettting a USDM car to 130, nevermind 150 or 200 HP
>But the Nissan 1.6L Turbo
is a completely different engine in a completely unrelated engine family.
The N/A 1.6L The Versa/Note use is an HR16DE of the HR engine family.
The 1.6L turbo is a MR16DDT of the MR family.
>>
>>20685460
I'm pretty sure you could rebuild a 3k civic's entire drivetrain and suspension for less than 13k, an alternator and some service items will be far less.

It's a Ford shitbox with no redeeming features other than which wheels spin. You're making mediocre power from a gas hungry engine and weigh six hundred stone.

That Civic has survived for 20 years, what makes you think it won't survive another 20 with regular maintenance?

i might be wrong, since they used the MR for a while

no. The Juke Turbo used the MR16DDT.

Depends on the car. If it's running a super conservative map for fuel and emissions but otherwise is overbuilt to shit then yes.
