Well kid, make sure to empty the float bowl everytime you are done riding.
Just close the fuel tap and let the engine idle until it dies.
If need be take the battery out of your bike and store it in your house.
If you have a kickstarter do THIS:
1. Leave the ignition turned off
2. Open your fuel tap
3. Pull the choke and kick a few times
4. Turn the ignition ON and kick 1 or 2 times
Thank me later.

Sure have fun with your overpriced gadgets and your ECU and your silly fuel maps or whatever and your transistor ignition that is dependent on your battery.
I've had a carbed bike for years now and the worst I had to do was clean the main jet because I left bad fuel in the carbs for a month.
Took me 15 minutes.

Maybe for everything he did, but 10/10 chance a lot of it didn't need to be done, and he ripped you off. But then again, I live in the Midwest in America, and mechanics in whatever shithole Europistanian country you live in may have honest mechanics. That would be a fairy tale land though. On the bright side, if he actually did that work, then it's taken care of, and shouldn't need it attended to for some time.

Lmao I just read the list entirely after replying, and he 100% fucked you. He charged you 8 Euros for fucking brake fluid, and what the fuck even are brake seals? Unless he rebuilt your calipers, he's full of shit. The little copper washers that go between brake lines, and their mating surfaces can't be what he's talking about. No need for that. And what the fuck does he mean he fixed a problem with the gas tank? Was it not holding gas, or something? What more does it do? Look this shit up, confront him about this shit, then don't ever bring your shit to that dude again, and if he has a social media presence blast him on it if he refused to resolve the issues. He's a goddamn conman.
>>
>>20235799
They still make the Goldwing. Get a new one if you're such a fag that you can't turn a wrench. The literal only reason you buy a new bike is to hold it in your garage for years, never ride it, look at it longingly as Tyrone fucks your wife, and cry a bit while sitting on it, and pretending you can feel the breeze running through your hair as you ride down the interstate, until you inevitably sell it to some kid for a lot less than you paid who rides it, picks up girls with it, and has fun.

There's a reason old bikes came with tool pouches, and an instruction manual. You could literally take the whole bike apart should you need to with those tools. But you never did. Because they weren't trash.

im selling my bike, keep breaking traffic laws (i think). maybe using the money to go fuck foreign women and buying a used miata.
>>
>>20236877
you mean a normal road or something like an autoroute/autobhan ?
>>
>>20236877
then also add fuel stop costs, possible traffic jams, stops to pay the toll roads...
it's really a pain in the ass to travel to italy or spain because of all the shit you have to pay when you take the car (tolls for crossing austria or swiss, toll roads in france etc) and you can't even go faster than 120 km/h
Don't forget that fuel will cost like 175ct per liter
>>
>>20236877
even if your average speed was 100+kph it would still take 4/5 hrs

why?

Yeah
>>20236893
Well traffic jams shouldn't be a problem on a bike
I'd be going down germany, into austria crossing the alps into italy. Afaik germany doesn't have any toll roads at least. I don't see how fuel costs factor into km/day unless we're on fuel rations.

then in france it's between 80 kph and 110 if there is a median strip
if you mean autoroute it's between 110 and 130 kph
be careful for that sign it means there is a speed camera near
>>
>>20236907
>Well traffic jams shouldn't be a problem on a bike

>>20236907
>Well traffic jams shouldn't be a problem on a bike
depending on the country. In germany filtering on the Autobahn is illegal, and in the city it's a gray zone if you can do it or not. We don't have toll roads and no speed limits on some parts, which was pretty nice to make up some time, but the rest of the countries fucking suck ass to travel through. Toll roads, speed limits, expensive as fuck gas, but at least in france and spain the toll roads had a pretty good quality. Can't say if austria and italys toll roads are in the same condition. Check if you don't need a Vignette for Austria.
>>20236921
but then you have to leave your retard peage road and get back on it again and have the whole hassle with the stations again
when I was in france there were like two of these signs, the bottom text was one time the frequents radars and some second one that said soemthing different about radars on the bottom? do you have like deisgnated road stretches where the police enforces speed limits by car or some shit like that?

you're losing times true but he could fill up a gas can before the motorways to save money and it's always good to take a break after 200+ km of highway it's dulling

no police control are random they just go where they want but they don't do it a lot you can spot them with a application like waze
doesn't really matter what the signs say if there is this pic there is an automatic speed camera near
sometimes it's local speed camera
and sometimes it's a 2 point speed camera that stretches on a few km it take your average speed and if that's over the limit you're getting fined
but the sign are the same
both are really obvious on the side of the road anyway so you shouldn't get caught off guard or you're not paying attention which is more dangerous than speeding imo

so fellow FZ6 riders and other 600cc guys who use them as primary transport for both suburban and highway:

It is time to replace my chain and sprockets. Any of you have any opinions on altering the gear ratio, sticking with stock, or going with a 520 conversion? This bike is a commuter and tourer. In town standard 40-50mph limits with lots of lights, on highways/interstates around me I am generally in the 85-90mph range to stick with the faster traffic.

Just wanna hear thoughts/pros/cons/etc before I buy, but my inclination is to stick with stock ratios and a 530 chain.

bigger rear will give you a stronger acceleration but will limit your top speed (engine will rev higher)
bigger front will give you less revs at top speeds but will limit your acceleration a bit
general rule of thumb is one tooth in the front equals the effect of 2-3 teeth in the rear.
>>
>>20237105
maybe it was well hidden
they legally can't say where the speed camera is exactly so they just warn you in a specific zone
I like it better this way desu you just have to respect the speed limits in the zones you don't have to always be paranoid of a hidden cops or speed camera waiting somewhere

it's a good bike, no doubt about that. but as the other anon said it's easier on your heart to buy a used bike as your first one so you don't feel that bad if yo fuck up. Furthermore I can add from my experience tho that a new bike is just easier because it less hassle to buy one and yo don't have to worry about if the PO nigger rigged some shit on it that may just fail for no reason. I personally bought my first bike new and I don't regret it, yo just have to make yourself clear that it's gonna lose some value and that you'll maybe drop it if you're not that much safe with all the handling yet.
this could also happen on The used bike, but it hurts less to drop a 700 bucks bike that a 7000 bucks bike.

More recalls isn't necessarily a bad thing. It can be indicative of a company that actually fixes problems when they come up rather than just letting them go and hoping it doesn't lead to any lawsuits. You also shouldn't just look at the number of recalls, but how many bikes the recalls affected and what the recalls were actually for.

How much of it is going to be sitting on highways at 70 mp/h? If it's not too much and you're taking the scenic route including a bunch of stuff off tarmac, any of the Japanese thumpers

It's pretty simple

Do you plan on doing more that a few hours of highway at a time or carrying more than 50-75lbs of gear long distances?

>If yes, any 650 you can get a good deal on, they're pretty much all the same.

>If no, any full size frame 250, or if you a manlet get an XT225 since it's small and makes more power than similar 250s.

Someone will probably comment not to get a KLR claiming that they're the worst 650 and from a power and weight prospective it's fairly true however they're by far the most economical 650, they sell for 80-50% of what other bikes go for in the same class, parts are significantly cheaper than XRs or XTs (about the same as a DR), and they usually last the longest since they're watercooled, so take their advice with a grain of salt.

You're the one being rude
Think about us poor white people who have to suffer looking at piles of feces that took human form

Ride around libraries, that's where girls go to pretend they're smart while they read Harry Potter and 50 shades of gay.
