Analyses implemented in the past few years of open rail-trails and out-of-service rail corridors show the potential to build a rail-trail that spans from Washington to Washington. Hundreds of conversations with state agencies and local trail managers confirm that this is a realistic pursuit.

...Now, the route is more than 50 percent complete

I want this to be finished before I retire. I will just ride back and forth across America on a comfy MUP path, forever

These both look like hiawatha trial. I doubt cyclists are going to want to give up either this or trail of Coeur d'Alene

Really long rail trails are great for getting stoned before riding on. If you've never done 30+ slow miles on weed you should give it a try

Europeans think their countries are beautiful, and that America is ugly. They are wrong. It is beautiful.

The confusion stems from the fact that most Americans do not leave their homes, and also have no idea

>Europeans think their countries are beautiful, and that America is ugly.
Depends, there are indeed beautifull parts of the US, but sadly your cities often look pretty bad and a significant part of the US is basicly a desert.
>They are wrong. It is beautiful.
Some parts are, some parts aren`t.
>The confusion stems from the fact that most Americans do not leave their homes, and also have no idea
Indeed, I`ve probably seen more of the US than most burgers despite not even living there.
(8 states and both costs)
Pic unrelated, technicly neither US nor Europe...

You are right about our cities. The best are only the handful that were built before the cage took over the world. Even then, they are dangerous

This is what cycling is all about for me

Well, this an using the local MUP for shopping trips. I hope to retire on a bicycle so most of my health goals are around that. If there are huge stretches of canal paths by then I will be very happy. I will still have a camper vehicle though

What I realy missed in the US where old city cores, some more narrow roads and stuff like that.
Your cities are all made with this 90° road pattern...

Yeah I think you might be able to find that in Boston but even Philadelphia was built in a grid pattern, which I think was considered smart planning back then
Never been in either of those cities, but most cities I`ve been in there looked pretty bad.
On a bike, NYC is fantastic. Philadelphia is good too, but less safe (fewer lanes, much higher crime). I have not ridden Boston or Chicago, but I have heard good things
You absolutely do not want to ride a bike in Boston. People do it but it is not an enjoyable or safe experience and frankly I think the irregular layout exacerbates the problems. Cambridge is much better for cyclists but I sure hope you aren't talking about travelling there just to bike around town.
Hmm I must be mistaken. Either that or you have no skills. Have you ridden NYC?
Dude Boston is routinely ranked as one of the worst cities for bike commuters. If you just want to spam "git gud" at anyone who doesn't enjoy riding there that's your prerogative but the narrow irregular streets crammed with aggressive and often lost drivers are not the best for any kind of wheeled traffic, though they may be nice to look at.
Who rates this? Babyleg women? Git gud lil baby
Yeah as suspected you're a fuckin pleb. Boston is top city for cycling after fucking Portland and DC! Lmao. Pathetic

I’m from DC, name one reason for me to go on this
Anything to keep lycrabois off the roads is fine with me
When you're done, you'll have some juicy calves.
That looks fake and unnatural

Where is that

They ruined the view someone on the bridge would get with those stupid thoughtless square things
That methodology is idiotic.

Boston is flat so I don't see what strength has to do with it.
>Where is that
What part of PA
I used to run track, I had juicy calves until they slimmed down due to attrition in college.
All it does is make my pants tighter and draw attention to how flat my butt is.
Name a reason why I, a DC resident, should go west somewhere.
You've clearly misunderstood something...

Europeans think their cities are beautiful, which they are... At least the ones taking care of their old architecture - not building squares and shite around it.

It's just an assumption you've got that Europeans think that America is ugly. I've never heard any European say it. I'm European and have family in the states.
everyone wants to live in a place like this

zoning makes it impossible to built places like this
Can you prove that?
