>>89501647Pretty good. Interesting drums and roaring guitars

Help. I can't stop listening to Candy Claws. I actually didn't really think I was into shoegaze until I heard them. It's usually a bit to harsh for me, so I lean towards the dream pop side. Like, I love the blanketing feeling of the songs, but most shoegaze I've heard tends to feel like a blanket made out of steel wool.

Looking for rock that's not shoegaze in and of itself but influenced by its guitar techniques and poppiness. Stuck On You has a layer of heavy guitar strumming that I think is very similar to Only Shallow. White Pony era Deftones counts too.>>89499429Good stuff, definitely wouldn't've found that on my own

I switch around pedal positions of the Shoegazer and EQ sometimes but I really can't tell the difference. >>89493931Let's get this 300 ladskeep posting SUHGAZIhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WwFELrftI4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2kDNGac4aYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlcgNn7YKPMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KzhKSKhOhchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RBgk7ENSzghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpc3wlREIsQhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28pEyiCArj4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBrd5wuy4cA

>>89529659I don't think he was a /mu/tant or the one shilling this album on here a few years back. I honestly think it got discovered in the Bandcamp threads and it just got shared around a lot because it's actually good.
What is some good really sad shoegaze? I like loveless and HANL and the like but i can never really like things like dreampop and more happy/not sad shoegaze
>>89531513>>89493931the new Drowse album is pretty slow and sad.Try out these as well:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXH8rr97A7chttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKYHroWKRachttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTYF9YNl3-whttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAPKM0RZ4ashttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9ZiU7ahZso
Yo, I've liked Daughter, Alvvays, Boy Pablo, Purity ring, Mazzy Star, London Grammar, etc for a while now.Is this Shoegaze/dreampop?Is that was this is called?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXu6q-6JKjAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1CiINFsBkYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQcj4A_DlbAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImKY6TZEyrIhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWxiH_8kHnk
>>89532494Mazzy Star is essential dream-pop, yes
>>89509373>>89509373>>89509373I cannot get enough of this album bros, every single song is amazing. It's also exceptionally soothing and trippy while high.
still my favorite shoegaze record, even though it's more "ambientdronegaze" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxuYRf0X_Pghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9HID1qCFMk
>>89532750FLOOOOOOOOOOOOATING WITH YOUUUthanks anon, nice rec
this is kinda dream pop idk found it on yt the other day and I like ithttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBzo2w_BIv0
>>89532930She's hot. In a really weird way.Too noisy for me.I like dream pop where they let bass notes hang for a long time, and deeper than normal female vocals. Lotta reverb.
this thread better not be dead when I wake up tomorrow morning

Just in case you don't know what the back of V:D:C looks like
A classic /shugazi/ album, one of my favs actually.>>89535636She looks so pure, nothing fancy, just the right amount.
Indigo is Blue is one of the best /shugazi/ songs. Prove me wrong, /mu/tards.
Any shoegaze bands/albums without vocals, please?
>>895145822 MBV shirts and a Deerhunter (I guess you could consider them shoegaze/nugaze)
Chapterhouse >>>>>>> RideBy a million.
>>89536906I don't think I know any strictly instrumental shoegaze ( and I have 391 hours of the genre on my computer) except for Southpacific: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVrdyS5WOoMLovesliescrushing comes very close, having the vocals buried extremely deep in the mix.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWu5rcxu57oAs does these guys. You'll do well if you can hear a single word on most songs.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4R_yq5L4ak
bilinda is such a cute slag bros
>>89537182>>89537252L O N D O N ONDON>>89537466Thanks for the recs. I'm fine with vocals buried deep in the instrumental too. I like the instrumental to be the main part.
Give me more like Jason Molina/songs: ohia/magnolia electric co/etc PLEASE
Did someone say NIGHTBLOOMS? :o
>>89536659It's fantastic, but not even Catherine Wheel's best song
Are there any /shugazi/ mindless videogames that let you focus on music more than playing the actual game?
>>89538817I honestly was considering it. It also fits the theme for some albums (pygmalion)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVj2soxx_dwWhat's up with them? Sub-par shoegaze, to me.
>>89538534idk maybe gta san andreas or 5 when you are driving through the long-ass landscapes
>>89540618Nah m8, I found THE perfect one. Tyrian2000
>>89540469I like them. Sounds like if britpop and shoegaze had a child. But I'm enjoy almost all shoegaze.
>>89540707It sucks for me, and it sucks badly. It's something like any shoegaze band would perform for the first time in a studio.
Any recs for fast, punchy shoegaze? Like Backwards by LSD and the Search for God?

>>89523498their first album is a fucking masterpiece, could you recommend anything similar?
>>89541862not him, but if you haven't already listened to these I'd rec it. Pretty similar in a lot of ways imo, but not a direct copyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kF9cTzXZZ4Uhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIRfTgbiWVAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRgeH-ey0Cw

What other genres do you listen to beside shoegaze? (I just want to make sure there are no purists here)I personally listen to noise rock and once in a while to harsh noise when I'm in the mood for a good ear rape.
>>89541683based. Love the harsh lo-fi sound of this. Sounds like listening to pop while drowning in an ocean of codeine.
>>89542696Dream pop, indie pop, hard rock/metal, 80s and 90s pop, grunge/alternative rock, deep house, 90s rap, atmospheric brum & bass and 80s/ early 90s soul
I like this. The ear rape is just right.
>>89541683Do you have a mediafire/zippy/mega link for it? The ones in the archive are dead.
>>89541634probs ariel pink
>>89543030I don't, sadly. I bought it from his bandcamp like 5 years ago.

>>89540941>>89544755The Florist - Middle of Winter EPA lot of SPC ECO's stuff is driving and punchy but it's also usually a bit slower and has a kind of industrial tone. You might like the Don't Say EP.
