Unpainted nub removal is never perfect and should be your #1 reason to take the plunge.
>>17783742The only plunge I like is my ween into a hole
>got airbrush and compressor>still have like a dozen rattle cans from when I was using those, need to decant them>look into class jars to store them in>the most cost effective way is mason jars>fucking hate mason jars because they're hipstercore.
>>17783749Glad you're finding a use for your extra polycaps, anon.
>>17783759Decanting is retarded, just use up the rattle cans or save them for another time. Truly don't understand the appeal of decanting when paint itself is so cheap.
>>17783769Because spraying through the airbrush gives you much greater control over it and reduces overspray by a heavy amount. I have the primer anyways, I might as well use it in the best way I can.
>>17783774Then buy paint and primer for your airbrush? You can probably get away with priming with rattle cans anyhow, the old guy at my hobby shop said he does it for conveniences and just uses his airbrush to paint. Hell he said he even uses rattle topcoat.
>>17783784Good lacquers can be hard to come by cheap, at least where I live.>>17783759Just get 5oz bottles on amazon, they're cheap and the perfect size.
>>17783784>Then buy paint and primer for your airbrush? But you see, I already have like 8 full cans of the stuff. So why would I spend more getting more primer and thinner that I would need to blend myself, when I can just poke a hole in what I have?>>17783786Rattle cans have one fixed spray size. It's usually pretty wide, overspray is what hits beyond what you're trying to coat.
>>17783795I guess. Decanting surely must only be for transitioning from rattle to airbrush then? I really do not see the point otherwise. >>17783802I would still personally just leave the cans as they are or use them as is, especially primer, but then again I am a pretty wasteful guy that only ever used rattle topcoat.
I just finished NGE and i wanna build a eva unit 01 kit. Where eva model kit do u guys recommend

When it comes to Perfect Grades, what do you prefer?Mechanical Detail ala PG Zaku II?Or articulation like the PG Exia?I'm just curious because I wonder what direction they plan on taking the PG Gundam 2.0. I hope they can strike a balance between the 2 styles, since the detail on the original kit was phenomenal.
>>17783920Speaking of Perfect Grade, were you guys aware Daban made a 1/60 Avalanche Exia?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu3ueAbuVgc
>>17783932Ah wait, it's actually an Avalanche Dash.
>>17783939You stupid FUCK
How expensive and autistically difficult is it to get into painting models?I just finished up my second model today, I personally think it looks great stock out of the box but I enjoyed putting these 2 together so much that I want to go further with it also to mask all the nub marks I left because I cut everything too fucking close.
>>17783948It isn't. Read Funaka's gunpla guide in the OP, it gives you a thorough step by step process, if slightly dated.
>>17783920>PG Gundam 2.0There is no PG 2.0 Gundam, though
>>17783956It seems that I read some outdated information
i think im done with this project, it stands fine on one foot but i want to make a more secure connection between the model and diorama, do you guys have any advice on how to do that?
>>17783977brass rodsEither one into its crotch, or one for each foot.
>>17783932Looked through his other videos and that Mechanicore GP02A looks fucking intense. >>17783977Damn, that's a good shot and lighting.
Do i weathering and streaking before Flat Top Coat or after?I see people do both, so confused.
>>17783977Pose is a bit static, but the model looks nice.
>>17783989It depends on the effect you're going for, the methods you intend to use and the materials you'll use it with. What do you plan to do exactly?
>>17784046Was planning to drybrush and use Mig streaking to make it look dirty a little bitNever do streaking before so some color recommendation would be nice.I'm doing the RX-78-2
dunno if I'm posting in the right place but just wanted to share my custom SB Suppressor, as you can see I completely gutted the arm gimmick and gave it Incoms, a few minor cosmetic differences and a new beam rifle
>>17784081Cool, now paint it
>>17784055Before the flat coat, after the gloss coat, with any decals you intend to add. Only use a very small amount around the feet and legs, remember the sheer scale of a mobile suit.
>>17784086Alright, it's enamel so i can clean them easily anyway.
I got some $3 flush cutters from Wal-Mart.Are these good enough or should I get some ones specifically for modelling? Are there any clipping tips I should know about that aren't covered in the OP guide?
pls helpi want to get into (hand) painting my models, would citadel chaos black primer harm the plastic at all? and would it interact with enamel pain/thinner at all?i know gws is the antichrist, it's just leftovers from when i used to collect 40k.i've since accepted i'm both too poor and not adept enough at painting them to collect them for the sake of collecting.

Which 1/35 LED bust would probably be the best centerpiece? Zeta, Sinanju, or Unicorn?
I'll admit I did a really hackjob editing process by filtering this through paintnet probably too many times. But I pulled the "Zieck Zion" from the back of the Xamel in 0083 Stardust memory, and made it a transparency. Maybe someone out there wants it for a custom water slide? It should be large enough to resize into a useful scale.
>>17784316>build the zaku firstIs there a particular reason to that?
I'll try asking this a third time!Is the 1/48 Rx-78-2 any good? Is it worth the ~$100 I'd have to shell out?
>>17783889Get a rebuild kit. Mine's falling apart but I hear the original ones are even worse.
I bought a Figure Rise Ayame and I wanna try converting her into Aya from Touhou. Any tips/warnings from waifu builders? I’ve got no experience doing this type of work
>>17784416It's a giant High Grade with all of the same seam lines as its 1/144 scale counterpart. If you want a large display piece, then get it. I highly recommend you clean up the seams and paint it. Don't expect any crazy poses either.
>>17784387MG Char’s Zaku builds 3 times faster
>>17783948Don't do it. Basic nub removal is fine & your kit will look perfectly fine unless your an autist who have never had sex & dilate every other day. Anyone have any tips for getting fine lines when airbrushing? Trying my hand at some preshading using Vallejo Mecha color. I can’t get close enough to get a fine enough line without getting spidering. Should I leave my paint thicker?
>>17784522>spideringHow's the paint flow?I spray at 15 psi with no problem. You need to use tiny TINY amount of paintflowScrew the airbrush shut then slowly unscrew it while spraying. As should as it come out good stop.

>>17784367Neat, I've been thinking about adding some pin-up art to one of my kits. Might be a fun challenge to try and hand-paint the colours on then put the template decal over them.
>>17783948painting is cheaper than being a snapshitterhell even airbrushing is
>>17784643I mainly use rattlecans because my house is pretty tiny and we don’t really have room for a spray booth or anything fancy. Can I get away with just airbrushing outside in my backyard?
>>17784685You need to be wearing a respirator regardless of where or what you spray.
Macross thread sent me over here.Anyone know if the 1/72 scale Battroid Valkyrie kits from Hasegawa are any good? Have a few ideas to customize them, and those seem to be the most affordable Valkyrie kits.
>>17784685if anything, rattlecans are more hazardous than airbrushing since more of it gets into the air thanks to the "wide" nozzle and yeah sure, my airbrushing setup is ghetto as fuck, I just place it ontop of a cardboard box wherever I like and spray away though I haven't been able to do anything later because of the weather.
>>17783948Painting whole model can be troublesome and time heavy but painting few details or painting instead of using stickers is good idea.Just remember to thin them.
>>17784367>>17784614Yeah, I really like the idea of WWII Nose-art in general, and it's a fairly rare treat to see it in Gundam proper. Obviously my interest outpace my technical skills, but I've tried (poorly) to clean up some lines and correct the spelling. I'm hoping it doesn't look too bad at 1/144-1/60, but who knows. Now to get some waterslide paper and figure out the exact sizing for something in the backlog
>>17784746But someone said lacquer fumes makes you stronger
>>17784564I’m trying to shade an MG, probably dumb to try it without practicing first since MGs have so many pieces but I didn’t expect small lines to be as difficult on 3D objects compared to paper

I wasn't planning on having something with an inner frame be my first, but almost all my backlog is comprised of those.Should I do RG Freedom or MG Strike? I really want something done before I fuck off to school at the end of the month. And a question in advance, what do you do with pieces of the inner frame that stick out?
So, are there any people who actually have a Tall Strike glitter? I'm just curious if it's shoulder parts can attach the same attachments as any AGE2 variant.

Also, with what am I supposed to panel line the dark grey parts?
It's happening. They're actually going to send two specially made resin models into space and release them from a capsule so they'll float around in zero-g. At 1/200 scale, the two models look very well sculpted and painted.https://www.gundamkitscollection.com/2019/09/bandai-hobby-reveals-g-satellite-gundam.html
>>17785434>1/200 modelAre we expecting them to be picked up by space ants?

>>17785434>At 1/200 scale, the two models look very well sculpted and painted.I want 1/220s back now
>tfw moved away from parents farm and left my entire backlog including a few incomplete kits. 18m2 city dwelling is so small and absolutely no place to setup a proper workstation. Wonder how Japs do that with their ant sized homes.

How do you deal with your RGs and MGs being in different scales? They look fucking retarded displayed together, completely ruins immersion.
>>17785801live with it or stick to one scale
>>17785807Really hard when half the kits don't even come in 1/100.
>>17785801I just put my 1/100 kits on one shelf and my 1/144s on another
>>17785550I remember in an episode of Plamo Tsukuro the guy the episode was focusing on went and sprayed on the porch or windowsill of his little apartment, lemme see if I can find which episode it was.
>>17785801This >>17785811It's the only way.
>>17783820I have no idea where you live, but again good, and real, lacquer that comes from a jar is hard where I live, so decanting is pretty much the budget/quick option.
>dip paint brush in the thinner bottle>went a little too deep>handle went in>stripped a layer of paint off the handle>the entire thing's now tinted red>half a bottle of Mr. Leveling Thinner now ruined
Is there any reason to not take a jar of paint, put it in a jar that's 2x as big, and fill the rest with thinner, or measure it out so a thing of tamiya would be 23ml of paint, so you measure out 23ml of thinner and pour that in? It seems like it would make thinning easier since you don't have to try and count in year head or eyeball how much drops of thinner you need, as well as painting since you got your shit all thinned.
How do I get the motivation to start on a big kitI have a big MG to build and it seems so daunting
>>17785968Set small goals throughout. Don't look at 200 pieces on a runner and think of doing the whole thing in one push. Work on just the inner frame, or just an arm/leg, etc. Small manageable chunks. I think it's also a good idea to do some detail on the inner frame, like painting joints or pipes. It really helps split up the cut/trim/sand parts, which I think occasionally drags the whole thing down on really part intense builds.Or give yourself a break on another hobby and come back to it...I think watching the show the suit is from helps too, seeing it "in action"
>>17785945No reason not to put your pre-thinned paints into something like this either. These things are cheap and have 0 air leakage. I let some paints for half a year with no problems. When I'm ready to airbrush I just shake them and pour it. Really convenient.>>17785968Stop being a fuccboi, it's just plastic.
>>17785987Not him, but my issue isn't with the scale. It's the realization that I'm probably going to fuck up cutting the runner with my walmart nippers, will fuck nub removal, will panel line poorly and smudge it, the top coat won't hide the stress marks, and I'll end up with a $60 hunk of plastic that I'll put back in the box to hide in shame.
>>17786014Stop using wall mart nippers. Learn how to properly remove nubs (a literal retard can do it).
>>17786019They work the same as Xuron for a quarter the price, and I can't justify dropping $35 on gundam planet when I only build a kit every other month.
>>17786024>Gundam planetNo, no no. Okay, stick with the walmart nippers if you must. Drop the 35 to 40 dollars on God Hands. Use the former to remove from the runner, leave a large nub. use the latter to trim down the nub cleanly. For many kits, you can denub them cleanly with just two pairs of nippers.
>>17786024You guys need to stop falling for GP and USAGundamstore nipper bullshit, don't even consider them. They're garbage and are just overpriced rebranded Chinese shit. If you're ever going to consider dropping that much on nippers then just spend a few more bucks for the real God Hands. The cut quality doesn't even compare between the two for the price.
>>17786046Doesn't that leave a stress mark on the plastic? I thought the only way to really remove nub/stress marks was to actually paint over it. Doesn't it show under top coat?
>>17786057God Hand blades are thinner than paper, also way thinner than the knockoffs. That's why they can slice through plastic without leaving a mark if you do it properly.
>>17786057>>17786063Though some marks are unavoidable unfortunately. That's the way of life.
>>17786072Right. I did a quick google and here's the mark a godhand leaves. Better than what I have, sure, but I'll still need to sand it...which scratches the surface and means I'll have to paint, since a top coat won't cover it.So what's the point?
>>17786081>here's the mark a godhand leavesNo, I've removed that completely before with my god hands.
>>17786092Is there a special technique to do so?
>>17786081You'd be surprised at how many people don't know how actually use God Hands and just straight up flush cut a gigantic nub off and wonder why there's still marks. It's painful watching people on Youtube use it. If the remaining nub is too big it will still stress the plastic when slicing through since the plastic can't flex. You cut it off the runner, leave a 2-3mm nub, then flush cut. There's a 95% chance the thing won't leave a white mark unless the runner was smashed in the box.Regular nippers will chew the shit out plastic and most likely leave a hole if you try to flush cut it like that.
>>17786095This is just me, but I gradually remove the nub until it is getting pretty close to flush and then I cut it at a final angle that is pretty much flush with the rest of the piece.
>>17786096Meant to type 1-2mm nub was typing too fast.
Are the V.I series kits any good?
>>17785801Then don't display them together
>>17785801By not having autism. I even have plans to display things together, like a build strike idea I have in my mind would be the MG is doing a shooting pose with the booster on in the back, while the RG is doing the Build Knuckle and the booster angled up are in the front.
>>17786081Why do you think you'd HAVE to paint because you sanded a nub? Sand it down pretty much flush than use higher grades of grit sandpaper, it'll pretty much blend in with the plastic at high enough grits and a matte coat will absolutely cover it. Just don't try using like 200 grit sandpaper for plywood, THAT could fuck it up. Personally I'd recommend getting one of those 7(?) In one Emery/nail boards from the beauty section of your local store, start with side like 4, then go up till 7 which is equivalent of like 2000grit.
>>17785932you know the paint will settle down to the bottom of the thinner, right?
>>17783907Prices in Argentina are retarded, they literally sell the cheapest high grades for 50 usd
>>17786096>>17786099Well, alright. I'll look around and see if I can pick some up, I guess.I have a few kits sitting around that I was going to have the time to work on soon, so it seems like a fair investment.>>17786139It doesn't scratch up the piece?? Every guide I've seen shows visible scratching and they all say "just paint over it :^)".
>>17786178There are multiple grits of sand paper of which eventually polishes...
>>17786143>Taxes in Argentina are retardedftfy
>>17786185>Argentina is retardedftfy
>>17786184>>17786178Note while this is the case, be ready for a lot of work. Reguarding the godhands, and those awful nubs >>17786081 I simply fail to see how that happens. I usually make two cuts with mine, one a bit from the runner, and the other pretty much flush, and it usually comes out really good, but I still touch up with a file.
>>17786196The person probably flush cut the pieces while still on the runner. I see people do that often even though they don't paint.
>>17786184>>17786196Alright, I'm willing to try it.So if there are any marks, just get the finest sandpaper I can find and rub it down and it won't be visible?
>>17786211>FinestHave you not been reading what we're posting? That goes in steps as well. I start with 240 and work my way up to 10k when I have a nub mark that didn't clean properly.
>>17786143And that's cheep, I fuckin hate it, and importing it's even more retarded. I want to leave
Just got Mark softer and Mark setterHow the fuck do i use these?
>>17785995That's what I do, with a stainless bearing inside. Have not yet run into a case of paint "going bad" and you'll get a consistent result on the whole kit
>>17785165Usually 15-18 is enough with low paint flow.
>>17786273Use softer to apply the decal and then once you’re happy use the setter over it
>>17786281That sound kinda backward....
>>17786273Mark softer does exactly what it says, it makes a waterslide soft, and so it conforms to the model extremely well, making it look like a miniature painted decal instead. Where you see silvering on the waterslide, poke it with a pin and dab a bit of mark softer into the hole, it'll make the bubble conform to the model.

>>17786583I don't want to damage anything if I'm not ready for it. I also picked up a $5 dollar mastergrade FAZZ sealed. They were sitting in the back of his garage collecting dust. Story is his grandson collected gunpla but then moved out several years ago leaving it behind. There was also an opened Wing Zero Custom Perfect Grade box. I looked inside and apparently his grandson just cut the pieces off the tree and did no sanding. There was a rough looking completed Wing Zero PG inside. The grandson just snapped all the pieces together. He said I could have it for $5. I told him I would think about it. He gave me his phone number if I change my mind.Does anyone know how much effort it would take to undo a Perfect Grade model build? Anyone with experience doing it? Do I need any specific tools to do it? His grandson just snapped everything together and was like 12 years old when he did it.Thoughts?
>>17786679Man I should go to some garage sales...
>>17786679For 5 dollars you should buy it, anon, easy choice. It won't be hard to fix any damage.
>>17786702I've never taken apart gunpla before. I've never had to do someone else's work. I mostly just build 1/144s as a hobby. Wouldn't it be difficult to get into the seams and seperate the pieces? Wouldn't they break easily trying seperate them after connecting them
>>17786729Not really. Some might give you a bit of trouble given the age of it, but all you have to do is slip in x-acto blade between them very carefully and pry it apart. Have to be careful because you can nick the part doing it; you can use the part that connects into the knife and has no blade to be more careful about it. If you have any other kind of very thin metal prying instrument that works too. It's not very tough and if you break a piece, you paid 5 dollars for it. Anything you break can be fixed. This is a 100+ USD kit you're getting for 5 bucks anon, you can just sit on it until you have a little more experience under your belt to tackle it. Shit, you can resell it on ebay and get a solid 30-50 bucks even in the condition it's in now. No reason to not get it.

>>17787025Just let it dry on its own, don't wipe it or you might tear the decal. If I were you I'd have a gloss coat on top of your paint coat to protect it before decaling it, but I think it only fucks up acrylic paint and future (acrylic) coats. Microsol does the same thing, but is less hot.

Does anyone know where to purchase missing spare gunpla parts? Like I need to replace the hands on my GP02. Friend gave it to me. Well put together model, but apparently the hands are missing. He lost it in move somehow to his new apartment, and we couldn't find it.Are there any sights that sell spare gunpla parts?
>>17786140Will it not go fucky any time it's agitated though?>>17787057It was just using it to grab a drop of thinner for the paint in my airbrush cup, I find it mixes a bit more easily if I do it like that than when I use a pipette
>>17787097If you're in the US, there's a middleman who'll go through Bandai's parts/runner replacement ordering process for you, though stocks are always pretty spotty: https://gundamreplacementparts.wordpress.com/service-fee/Failing both of those, you could always replace them with some after-market parts. Bandai do their own replacement hands (Builders Parts MS Hand), as do Kotobukiya as part of their M.S.G. line. They won't be a perfect match, but they're a pretty decent replacement.Last port of call if you're desperate is Yahoo Auctions. There are a few sellers that sell broken and second-hand Gunpla/parts through it (tagged as junk/'ジャンク').

Also it’s 5 bucks, that shits practically free, just get it.
>>17787401Sucks buying from Amazon Canada. They prevent shipping from USA, and you're stuck between dodgy Chinese sellers who take forever to ship and vastly inflated prices (this is an understatement). Even buying from Amazon Japan and shipping it is cheaper and there's more to choose, wtf. What's the search term for that tool set in Japanese?
>get a ver ka MG FA unicorn because I wanted a unicorn>get a sheet smaller sheet of dry transfers for darker parts and the inner frame>the decals on the outside armor is consisting of a large sheet of fucking stickerswhat the fuck, that's some fucking bullshit, anyone know where to get some genuine bandai water slides or even dry transfers for it that's not out of stock? I haven't had any good experiences with chinese decals so far, the film around them is just too wide.at least the ver ka ZZ I got with it had a nice set of waterslides, that made me a little bit happy.
>>17787401Different anon. I use a guitar pick. Hasn't damaged anything yet and I didn't have too sharpen it to fit in creases.
>>17787500doesn't seem to be in stock, unless I'm blind

Do not speak Japanese, but you might just have to wait for shipping if you really want the kit or go to a hardware store and ask what they have. Could also go the guitar pick route as another anon suggested. If you have an exacto for prying you should be covered for big and small pieces if you get the pick.
>>17787495The mg full armor doesn’t have waterslides? I thought that was half the point of Ver Kas. I’ve built 5 and they all had waterslides. Guess that kit’s off my wishlist.
Are there bootleg God Hands out there?
>>17787495I was gonna say delpi decal, but I just checked and they're sold out too.I don't know man, try ebay maybe, I've gotten some nice waterslides from there before.
I just bought a Master Grade FAZZ. This thing was made in the 1990s. Should I be concerned about the age of the decals and stickers? Are they past their expiration date?
>>17787624thats just when it was first released, gunpla have constant reprints and production runs, even the old stuff from the original 1979 Gundam series. that MG is probobly no more than three years old unless you found it in a flea market basement.
>>17787624It's more likely than not a reprint, Bandai regularly reprints almost everything so that could have been done as recent as the last couple of years. Even if it is an from older batch, worst case scenario for the decals will be slight discolouration of the lighter colours, whites going kind of tan etc., which you can sort by leaving them in the sun for a while.
Check out what I won from my local 7-11's gundam lottery.
>>17787624gunpla stickers last forever, dry transfer decals might dry out over time but ive never had trouble with them. older MGs used a different style of dry transfer decals that were a little more difficult to apply but i dont know if they revise that with reprints of old kits.
When are age kits getting reprinted? Especially age 1 titus? 2049?
>>17787645>age kits>getting reprintedlooooooooooool
>>17787608Why? None of the bootlegs even cut close to as good as the real thing. You're just wasting your money.
>>17787639I've never seen this one before. Is it like the MG RX-78-2 Banpresto Ichiban Set A/B kits with the random clear parts?
>>17787648It does happen, just very rarely.
>>17787510I don't see it>>17787619I just found a genuine bandai one (GD-44 MG RX-0) on ebayit costs just as much as chinese waterslides so it isn't too bad, it just baffles me that it came with fucking stickers for the outer white armor, I thought ver ka kits and especially unicorns were supposed to be top quality.
>>17787648It happened with a few HGs when it was rerun this past July
>>17787284Note that having a panel down the leg like that is accurate to the line art.
I really don't mean to sound like a certain someone, but doesn't APS plastic become brittle if you paint on it with lacquer? How do you prime it then, because primer is lacquer. How do you even topcoat it, because topcoat is also lacquer?
>>17787895Enamels (oil based paint) is what causes plastic to become brittle (plastic absorbs oils and bloat)Lacquer paint DISSOLVES plastic. However, when you're applying it with a spray-can or airbrush (properly), the solvent evaporates as it hits the plastic surface, safely leaving behind the pigment and binder. This momentarily dissolving of the plastic surface also etches it, causing the paint to adhere stronger. This is why you don't see anyone recommend handbrushing lacquer paint. It CAN be done but if you're not careful about the amount you slap on the model, it'll dissolve into a gummy mess.
>>17787895I'm the one who painted the model in the OP image. If you look closely at the yellow parts they're damaged from soaking in lacquer thinner for 40 minutes. If they can survive that I'm sure your gunpla will be fine.
>>17787321Their first Japanese vehicle is coming out next month although its largely a retooling of the Jagdtiger II they released. They've posted a bunch of concept art in the past but as far as they've said they're holding back on some things to see the reception to their 1/35 kits and if they want to transition all projects to that scale or largely stick with 1/72.
>>17787841>I thought ver ka kits and especially unicorns were supposed to be top qualityNot really, technically the only difference is that Katoki was supposedly involved in every process of the development, like the decal design etc. But older ver. Kas don't come with waterslides, and I guess at some point they realized this was pretty dumb since you were wasting his designs on shitty stickers no one would use. Also, he usually likes to include gimmicks and design choices that push the engineering to its limit, and this can hinder the final product if current technology can't live up to his ideas.
i love this thing.
Ugh I have too much of a backlog to be buying more kits. That said I just got this fucker off amazon for $50 with $20 shipping. >>17788185They're good kits. How they build is pretty different compared to Bandai kits which was nice. That Allied version you linked is the same as the original release kit except it has a plastic molded front search light (it was originally a polycap, although I replaced the one on my build) and additional knee armor piece at a $15 markup due to its limited release nature.>>17788192I'll admit as someone who is a fan, it's ugly but that's part of its charm. It was a prototype design meant for war, looks were secondary to its functionality as a proof of concept for the Japanese and German engineers who made it in universe.

This is probably real dumb. But can you use the 30 Minute Mission weapons packs with all the “frames” like if I get the Alto but buy the Portanova weapons kit, do the hands hold all the weapons and do the weapons kits have all the required bits to make the full weapons? I think these sets would be perfect for a home brew Tabletop RPG I am cooking up.
>>17789052Yes. The kits are made with compatibility and customization in mind
>>17789055That is what I figured thanks.
>>17789052What is this some kind of “start as an off brand grunt but find salvage and buy parts” kind of custom tabletop game? What system?
>>17788913>winghomo calling others gaylmao
>>17789066Yes. Effectively as a skeleton I have cannibalized End of the World by Fantasy Flight for “Pilot” stats. And am using a hybrid Warhammer Underworlds and Warcry for combat. The players will be able to purchase and add on all the weapons kits over the course of the campaign to add on to their unit as they rank up. After we play a campaign and all the hard testing is done I may have a write up I could share, but it will be fast and loose with stating stuff up and I would love to make it more attractive to have some crazy looking customs instead of min/maxing stats to “win” combat.

>>17789052>like if I get the Alto but buy the Portanova weapons kit, do the hands hold all the weaponsYesAlso the 30MM hands will work with most HG weapons tooalso they have a bunch of 3mm holes on them that can work with any accessories you have that have a 3mm peg>do the weapons kits have all the required bits to make the full weapons?not all at once unless you have more altos or porta novasthe alto weapon set shows three gun types, but it's just the same base gun with three different barrels (one is the same kind you get with regular altos) and two types of scopes (again one is the same as the regular)so because of the one gun base, you can only make one gun with it at a time, unless you buy more altos and use the gun base that comes with themyou have more options with the melee weapons because you get the regular weapon handle, a staff, and a weapon hand so you can use all 3 melee weapons at once and they have a bit more connectivity with each other going on
>>17789315>chineseI think you mean superior nippon plastic molded 1000 times.
>>17789339So the weapon pack doesn’t come with the gun base? If so that is sort of a bummer. But good to hear about he melee weapons.
Ordered an RG Nu and an RG FA Unicorn this week. Which one should I build first when they get here??
>>17789372I can't speak for the Alto gun pack but the Portanova gunpack comes with all the parts for the basic gun and sword hilt. The weapons pack is mostly just add-ons for those two and one or two extra melee weapon hilts.
>>17789372>So the weapon pack doesn’t come with the gun base?no it does come with a gun base, but only onethis is a pic of the contents of the weapon set (basically it's the same gun you get with every alto + a new scope + 2 new barrels)
>>17789424>>17789441Excellent. I had been planning a Gundam centric game for quite some time, so it is just trying to port it over at this point. I will pick up one to use as a sample/guinea pig and see what I can think up.

>>17792766Your decals are crooked. Might want to fix them.
>>17792782Beside the 1 leg, it just the camera angle, trust me senpai. It's not that bad, i live with it, no way to fix it without destroying the decal anyway
I have a Liger Zero Schneider that I just noticed is missing a piece on his face. There's a duplicate on the opposite side, is there a way I could somehow scan the identical piece and 3D print a spare?
>>17792833It'd be easier to just make a silicone putty mold and cast one out of liquid resin. 100% guaranteed your local art shop has a kit for less than $20 and it's so easy Pinterest moms do it with jewelery.
>>17792843Thanks, I'll do that instead. It's a really small piece and I could just take the other one out, but it doesn't feel right.
>>17791777>gold foil sticker>for a yellow partWhy?
I need to buy decals. where's a good online store for decals?
>>17792876the part is white
>>17792927I know. I meant that the part is supposed to be yellow. They're making the same mistake that they did with the old HG.
>>17783700Is hg g-self really rare? I can't seem to find one here in my country
>>17792968all the g-reco kits rarely get reprints, so all of them are more expensive and usually never in stock at local stores. personally im looking for a mack knife and elf bullock the most, maybe get a dahack or something down the line.Other reason the hg g-self is never in stock is its not that well recieved. its a fine kit but with 90 degree elbows and knees the populus shit on it for that and the "heavy" use of stickers
>>17792968The Perfect Pack G-Self got a reprint early this year
>>17793136>90 degree elbowPlease elaborateI see those dahacks etc almost everywhere, the g self seems to be the only rare one
>>17793682Try this again.Just finished these 3, should I do my sturm tyrann zoid next, one of my lightning saix, or my iguan zoid?
>>17793695What is up with the fucking eyes on the left one?
>>17793701Man I got no clue, in person it looks fine. I noticed they looked weird in pic after I posted. I think im going to swap faces
