>has legs>can't strafe left and rightWhat is the point?
>>17313037>he doesn't torso twistExcellent thread OP.
>>17313037>side-steps onto adjacent hex in your path
>>17313073>turn legs 90 degrees right>turn torso 90 degrees leftThis takes so much more time than just sidestepping, and makes it harder to avoid incoming fire.
>>17313256>not running parallel to begin with>not anticipating the engagementExcellent post, OP.
>tfw in Mechwarrior 2 you could use jumpjets to strafe and zip around like an anime mech
>>17313037>hip joints only have one exist of rotationWestern "mechanical designers" have no business designing machines.
>>17313037For the sake of following the original tabletop game. I don't mind, that's just how the game is flavored. It makes them glorified tall tanks with more destructible components but it works fine enough as a game. If only the Pig had enough funding and talent to add melee combat to the MW formula they'd be really rolling in old man money.Really strange when an original game with walkers, especially humanoid walkers, has them be super clunky and unable to do something as simple as side stepping.
>>17313037>He needs to move
>>17313334Sid Meade did a good job. He even gave his mech a cockpit.
