I used to hate the G-Saviour's space mode because of the exposed upper arm and leg frame, but it kind of grew on me after a while. The models they use in the movie aren't very good, but seeing the design elsewhere, it looks a lot better.

Canon enough to make it into Build Fighters. If Sentinel can be justified as canon that way then so can G-Saviour.

Or you know, not; because more than one person can have an idea in a vacuum. Especially when that idea is so general (I know, let's make the waist thin). And when G-Savior's waists aren't that similar in the first place.

So, a question about G-Savior aesthetics. The fin backpack is a thing in F91, then seemingly phased out in Victory era but returned in G-Savior. Why?

my own headcannon has all the tech we're use to becoming so ubiquitous to the point of being mundane like the 360 cockpit being rendered virtually leaving us with the 3 screen set up as a redundancy.
also a massive revolution in armor design and creation, it seems like the stuff has a ridiculous threshold to beam weaponry, when Mark and Jack are fighting on the colony mirror and Mark finally gets the upper hand, he has to beat on jack like the police from futurerama to put him down.

So bioluminescent algae isn't the most ridiculous UC thing now right thanks to unicorn BS?
>>

I wouldn't have though bioluminescent algae were ridiculous at all. Or the most ridiculous thing in UC at any point even if they were, since putting aside how few people know or care about it, there's still multiple Newtype feats that pre-existing it. I do recall finding the idea bioluminescent algae were a solution to mass hunger a bit ridiculous, at least without some further explanation, but not to preposterous levels by any stretch.

Why aren’t drones more prominent? We got mobile dolls in wing and fun funnels, but you’d think the learning computer tech could be reused and eventually phase out humans altogether.

g-saviour already has an AI MA though that really fucks up things if you put the calamity war after the g-saviour in terms of the Turn-A continuity
>>
>>17045713
Algae is definitely a realistic food source. It’s being proposed for animal feed already, and could be engineered for humans.
>>
>>17049045

>>
>>17049082
If they’re autonomous then they could just not have wireless connections period except to contact homebase, which normal MS can do anyway and is vulnerable in both cases.
>>
>>17049150
so outside of NT shenanigans, how will they control AI weapons?
>>
>>17049152
How do non-newtypes communicate?
Also, instead of feeding outside contact directly into the computer have some redundancy measures, like a screen the thing reads.
>>
>>17049152
Really good AI. It's not totally inconceivable, after all we have shit like the Amuro AI drifting through space in Crossbone Gundam. It's perfectly within the limits of UC technology to have AI capable of human judgement.
>>
>>17049380
while true, it still fell for an AI flaw (incapable of discerning from enemy and ally batara's).

also, aside from plot, how the heck did the jupiter empire manage to get amuro's data?
>>
>>17049485
found grandad gundam remains from abq and ran learning computer sims on bioengineered brains until a newtype came out
>>
>>17049052

The algae spirulina is already consumed by humans. Seaweed is an algae as well and people have been eating that for thousands of years, so algae itself can definitely be a food. What I found weird was the bioluminescent part, not the algae part. The movie doesn't do a good job explaining why that breakthrough is significant in terms of algae farming or world hunger. I'm not sure it even explains it at all.

I"m curious how a NT would fare against an AI, since isn't their whole schtick being that they have incredible spatial awareness cause they can sense emotional intentions at a distance, wouldn't An AI basically be invisible to a new type? considering they have no emotions to speak of.

>>
>>17051126

That doesn't help in shooting them down.

Which every gundam protagonist who faces them starts doing.
>>
>>17051102
Newtypes don't just sense emotional intent and life, though. They also have precognition in general, like when Amuro sensed that the Solar Ray laser was about to be fired. No one died yet and he would have been too far away to sense the emotions, intent, or the presence of Gihren or the person who pushed the button to initiate the colony laser.

More examples might be Quess sensing 5th luna falling to earth and yelling out specific directions for the shuttle pilot to steer, even though she can't see the asteroid properly. Or Amuro and Char on foot inside Axis firing rockets and bazookas at each other, they can vaguely sense where the other person is, but they're also using tricks like remotely triggered rockets to try and kill each other with, yet they both keep missing. That implies that they know they can sense each other's intent and are deliberately trying to make it not so easy to sense where the attack is coming from by using tripwires and misdirection, but they both still manage to escape each blast.

>>
>>17051126
>>17051114
>>17051137
Funnels/Bits have their own AI that works in tandem with the Psycommu system. The Nu's FF acted on their own due to Amuro's emotions and are what caused Kayra's death
>>
I wonder if Newtypes can remve/dampen their presence to other NTs/OTs? That'd be an interesting miniboss, they'd likely pilot some stealth/sniper MS to further such an advantage.
>>
>>17051291
I thought that was because they rushed the fin funnel deployment (hasn't fine tuned it yet/amuro hasn't mastered it yet)

Hasegawa's Victory Sidestory manga introduced a B-tier newtype villain whose schtick is being able to lie through his mind, so that only other newtypes would see these illusions.

They beat him when Judau sacrifices the last remaining piece of his ZZ Gundam by using the hi mega cannon as a high powered beam flashbang/flare that illuminates everything. They are then able to see the real enemy casting a shadow, and he gets taken down like the loser he is.

be kinda neat to see a gundam series base around a sport. not like a game type sport like build fighters was like but like a rough and tumble type of sport like football or soccer.

>>17053668

>>
>>17053696

It depends on what you mean by "real" football, because there's several different sports world wide referred to as football. Soccer, especially professional soccer, is though, yes. The professional players tend to be screaming drama queens and prima donnas more concerned with individual success than that of their team.
>>
>>17053726
made the distinction because despite most of the world calling it that, america insists their football is the true one (why else would they rename the other sport 'soccer')?
>The professional players tend to be screaming drama queens and prima donnas more concerned with individual success than that of their team.
that sounds like it could be any professional sport
>>
>>17053788

Not many professional sports I've seen have players diving at the slightest contact to roll around on the ground for audience sympathy they know the referee has been too emasculated to refuse in many cases.
