This Side of Paradise is good but bloated for a first novel
Tender is the Night is good for the first 2/3 and then implodes
Gatsby is good all the way through
The Beautiful and Damned is good all the way through
>>
>>13117964
the first 1/3 of tender is my favourite portion of a novel, it's so idyllic right up until the last sentence.
>>
>that guy who thinks Shakespeare is overrated despite not having read a single one of his plays beyond selections for high school.

Honestly if someone has actually bothered to read either of the latter two books I've got to give them credit even if they have the wrong opinions about them.

Bloated? Has a great feel for college life in East Coast U.S. a hundred years ago and concludes beautifully. It can be read easily in a day.
