>Transwoman has neovagina made out of fish skin

Well, that's one way to make it fishy. Better than using tuna salad as lube.

Brave and beautiful xoxoxo

IMAGINE THE SMELL

>all these kneejerk disgust reactions
This is really fucking cool, but I have so many questions. Isn't the body going to reject the fish skin?
>>

>The tilapia membrane attached to and recoated the walls of the vaginal canal acting like stem cells. These were absorbed into the body, transforming into cellular tissue similar to that of an actual vagina.

Apparently fish skin is used frequently in skin grafts.

Fish skin is used in ftms as well. It's what is used to repair the skin transplant that they take off your arm/leg.
Fish skin is also used for burn victims grafts.

It's not chunks of skin though. It's individual cells that are attached to the membrane they place over top of grafted areas.

That's a big uwu from me
>>
>>12487279
It's not made out of fish skin, it's basically put in to keep the neovagina from recollapsing, the cells in there also absorb collagen from the fish skin. That thing is meant to be pulled out once the neovagina becomes strong enough to not collapse.

It's very similar to how fish skin is used to treat burns. It's not that you have fish skin grafted on, instead there it's used more as a bandage to promote your own skin to regenerate.

That's got to be an awkward conversation
>wow bby ur cooch feels...kinda different
>thanks it's fish

Cool, I want a mermaid vagina :o

Fish skin being used in medicine is not something new you utter curtains.

Because it's a profoundly repellent concept on an instinctual level, independent of whether it works or not.

Like, imagine if you could cure skin cancer but the consequence was that a baby head, looking just like you when you were a baby, grew out on the part affected by the melanoma, then necrotized and fell off. This cure is 100% effective and forgoes the need for any kind of chemotherapy, far superseding previous treatments in physical/medical terms. Does that make it any less of a Cronenbergian horror? Would you find it hard to understand why some people would refuse this course of treatment?

This is the same thing, just at a lower intensity.

Honestly if it was effective it'd be adapted anyways and eventually no one would bat an eye.

It's like how the wizard in Harry Potter universe were confused when Arthur Wesley decided to try stitching his wound since magic didn't work.

Its made of fish skin in the same way a building is made of scafolding. Its a substrate that the body uses to direct itself and build onto, not a literal graft of fish scale cloaca

>retards who don't understand science shitpost about things like retards
this isn't any different from using pieces of protein scaffolding from pig hearts to replace human heart valves
>>
>>12487298
I mean the sheer technical aspect of completing the procedure is mind boggling. The science is fascinating but it's still kinda gross.
>>
>>12487912
>Honestly if it was effective it'd be adapted anyways
Of course!

>and eventually no one would bat an eye.
That's where you're wrong, kiddo.
>>
>>12487912
>adapted
The word you're looking for is "adopted".
>>
>>12487279
Pretty gross but also cool. Logical first step toward using stem cells to make a vagina.
