Letting potential Islamists into the Canadian Forces or any government body has the potential effect of damaging Canada's national security. I for one am quite horrified that so many current federal ministers are foreign born, probable fifth columnists.

Hussen for instance, has he acted more in the interests of Canada as Immigration minister or has he acted more so in the interests of his homeland of Somalia?
>>
>>41729092
Hard to say much of BC will be swallowed up, but I can see the lower Fraser Valley becoming part of Washington. Further North I doubt they'd be interested in fighting for a bunch of mountains, especially with so many gun owners in BC hightailing it to those mountains and willing to fight back.

BC's population is already largely comprised of Chinese fifth columnist agents who seek to establish more Han living space by using fentanyl money to invest in BC real estate.

Unless the Canadian federal or BC provincial governments do something about those foreign Devils, British Columbia will be lost to the Chicoms.

Too bad Canada's elected officials are largely compromised, a la Project Sidewinder.

I think you underestimate the very nature of Saskatchewan and its people. They are one of the most heavily armed provinces in Canada, beyond that many of them are hearty outdoorsmen who have a thorough understanding of not only backroads, but also the river systems and lakes. A good percentage of the gun owners in that province have high powered moose rifles with decent optics, it would not be as easy as some would imagine. Beyond that, the Winter conditions are a deadly weapon in their own way. The severity of the resistance would largely depend on who it is they were having to fight.

Quote:
Restricted firearms include:

>handguns that are not prohibited;

>semi-automatic, centre-fire rifles and shotguns with a barrel shorter than 470 mm;

>rifles and shotguns that can be fired when their overall length has been reduced by folding, telescoping or other means to less than 660 mm;

660mm is the rule. the last words (by other means .ie. shortened stock/grip)

Your shotty cannot legally be under 25.98" if you want to keep it NR.

you can't actually "store guns at your cottage," when it comes to Restricted anyway. they have to be at the location you registered them to, your "official" home. if you list your cottage as primary residence or change your primary residence to your cottage, informing the RC at least 30 days beforehand, only then you can store your handguns and Restricted rifles at your cottage.

On your original question. Strictly legally speaking, I don't think you can store ammo at your GF's.
You need a PAL to acquire ammo and legally possess it. Ergo, your GF would actually be the one breaking the law if you stored ammo at her place. In fact, if the prosecutor really wanted to, you could be charged for distributing ammunition to a person that is unlicensed to posses it.
>Ranges get an exception for unlicensed shooters because technically the ammo belongs to the RO that's supervising the shooter, same goes for licensed shooters and their unlicensed guests. Technically the unlicensed people are shooting licensed people's guns and using up their ammo under the licensed person's supervision. There is a reason you can't take a live round home as a souvenir if you are unlicensed and just paying to try shooting.
>>
Is sword bro in this thread? If so could you recommend a historic sword that could also be used defensively?
>>
>>41729963
you do not need a pal to possess ammo, only to buy it.
>>
>>41729963
For the cottage I was talking about NRs, which I brought up because they have roughly the same level of control as ammo.

For ammo, I think it's the opposite case. It's not illegal to possess it without a license (because you can own antiques without a license and those need ammo), it's only illegal to "transfer" it to someone without a license. Sure, if they really wanted to they could try to argue that I "transferred" it to her, but I'm there pretty much every day so I think they'd have a hard time in court. Guns at my place, which I check on every day after work, and ammo at my GF's place, where I sleep most evenings. If trouble did come, I'd be getting nailed for it - but supposedly nobody's ever been prosecuted on ammo charges without guns also being involved so I'm not worried. If the fags in government didn't want situations like this to happen then they should've written the fucking law more clearly.
>>
>>41729897
don't listen to the boiling water brainlets. yes, heat will take off cosmoline, you can bake it off in the oven with better results if you want to do it for free. with water you will never get it fully bone dry clean, since cosmo is a natural water repellent.

brake cleaner is your best friend on metal parts (and dry heat on wood) when it comes to cosmoline
>>
>>41729993
you do know what P in PAL stands for, yes?
that is in reference to both guns and ammo
>>
>>41730013
>with water you will never get it fully bone dry clean, since cosmo is a natural water repellent.
It's such a high temp it'll all come off and be easier to clean than having to wipe it down, and you can just dump the water. It'll also completely dry just fine because boiling water evaporates.
Dumbass.
>>
I’m impressed that gangbangers don’t have a dude w/ a PAL to get them cheap ammo instead of this $1/round shit
Equally surprising they don’t just reload
>>
41730024

why do you keep doing this?
>>
>>41729431
I inherited a bunch of guns when my grandpa died like 20 years ago and I finally imported them
>>
>>41729440
You only need a license to buy, not to possess ammo so that's fine
>>
>>41730033
>wiping
break cleaner is a grease cutter, it washes the cosmo clean off and evaporates itself, so you don't need to wipe anything and the surface you are left with is in fact bone dry. you don't need to worry about break cleaner cooling off and remaining in some deep crevice on the inside of some coiled spring, causing rust over time.

like I said, if you're going to use heat, you're better off with dry heat. but good luck with those nooks and crannies inside the trigger group.

I'm a cheap cunt. My m57 was so greasy the mag wouldn't come out and the slide wouldn't rack. 20 minutes in a pot of 70c water allowed me to fully disassemble, then toss it back in for a few more minutes and wipe all the individual pieces off. I'd have used 20 bucks of break cleaner to do that.

I am a sword bro in that I am a sword owner...consider your needs, would it be in the tight corridors of your bedchamber and domicile or would it be used in a large hall or outdoors with lots of space?

If the former is the case, I would suggest a Gladius and Scutum, or perhaps a messer & buckler If you are to be using it outdoors, I would suggest a long sword.

Important preface- you'll want some training (and of course a gun is a better option for defense), but here's a general idea:

The cutlass was designed for use in tight spaces aboard ship, so it wouldn't be a bad option in a house. The guard for your hand is good protection, and can be used to strike if someone gets too close. Some people would have you "punch" with the guard, but from my experience, you're better off drawing the sword back (like you were going for a really strong strike), and then smartly cracking that guard down on their face. That was what the old manuals advised.

The Gladius is another decent option, but keep in mind your hand is much more vulnerable.

The danger with longer blades is that it's hard to get them up to speed fast enough when you're in tight spaces. Under 25 inches or so is about the best in that case. I suppose you could get away with a longer thrusting blade, but that has its own share of problems.

One thing to think about is if the other guy decides to do a prison yard rush with a knife. You'll want to think about things like that a bit.

If you know what you are doing, >>41730664
isn't bad.

Have a look at Kultofathena, find the ones you like the look of, and then do a bit of research. You should be able to find a reasonably priced sword that fits your interest. I picked the cutlass as an example of something that would work really well as a weapon in tight quarters.

Without being too picky, any sword that wasn't too long and was balanced nicely would be fine. For example, this Hanwei Tinker Viking sword:

http://www.kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=SH2408&name=Hanwei+Tinker+9th+Century+Viking+Sword+%2D+Sharp

If you have the money, check out Albion and Arms and Armour, among others.

It depends on the era. Pre-Napoleonic is out of sight price-wise. Napoleonic is pretty expensive, 1-2K for average pieces. Late 19th century is better, especially for small or neutral countries, but the selection declines. A lot of the late 19th century swords were more symbols of authority than actual fighting tools.

Also, I wouldn't want to try cutting practice with a real antique, in case I screwed up and torqued the blade or something.

Antique smallswords are surprisingly affordable, however. I guess they aren't as popular. Here's a nice example:

https://www.faganarms.com/collections/swords/products/north-european-military-smallsword-c-1700

In the end, a good reproduction by a trustworthy company or smith is a solid choice. A lot has been learned about blade dynamics in the past 25 years, and the swords made by the top class makers show it.

When I shoot corrosive, I boil the kettle and pour it down the barrel, gas port, and action. Then give everything a spray with G96 and wipe with paper towels. Then run alternating dry and g96'd patches of papertowel down the barrel. Should I be doing anything different? Is there a better cleaning tool? I read about bore snakes but how would I stop them from becoming corrosive themselves?

You could take the cities easy, rest of it less easily, but the north, where the uranium and shit is? Good luck. Only been there once, everybody's packing, natives hate the government as it is and they don't have much to lose. Only a few roads to cut off/guard, and always more forests to escape to. Kinda like the winter war, except against an even worse military.
>>
>>41732913
People severely over hype how bad corrosive ammo really is, pretty much just pour some hot water down the barrel and gas port and then clean as normal, doesn't even need to be boiling, just hot tap water has always done the trick for me.

I'm thinkin' the sheer scale of the Prairies would make a thorough invasion next to impossible. I hear you, it's endless up there. Been to Northern Sask and was so fucking bored with the endlessness of it all. Good luck 'capturing' that in a meaningful way. If the locals decide to become partisans and get together in small, effective groups, provided the ammo holds out they could force such a war to go on for too many years.

But I don't think that's how it would go down. Think of the tech the USA has. They can see you, doesn't matter day or night, good weather or bad. Their primary forces are remotely operated these days, drones operated from Vegas by a bunch of gamers. Think about micro-drones in their tens of thousands operated like that. Zero invading soldier deaths, thoroughly demoralizing attrition as grenade-level power gets dumped on you wherever you're hiding and sipping a Timmy's. All the camo in the world does nothing in the face of state of the art thermal supported by the best satellite surveillance network and high altitude monitor drones. You'd be fucked. Any group of 5 or more is going to glow in the dark, easy targets. And if it drags on too long they decide to unleash some modified strain of strep throat or whatever to make everybody ill, vaccinate all their soldiers, and just march through, mopping up all the sickies.

18 and noguns, whats the quickest way to get in the CFSC and then get the PAL/RPAL? Is it worth phoning the places to ask about times or should I just find somewhere and go as soon as I can? I know a couple people with PALs but I'm honestly not quite sure what questions to ask. Thanks IQ 85 here I'd genuinely appreciate any advice.

What province just call up instructers and find the next free course. Pay and do it, pass the tests. Then send paperwork in and hope it you don't get denied or on the big wait for some extra validation.

Or just buy a black market one, use a fake pal for a NR and then get a PAL.

You're right. I don't. But I called the shop the other day looking for some plain-fuck-jane parts for other projects I have on the go and guess what? The stuff I was looking for was marked up by 35% when compared to other Canadian stores.

So even if its for "a quarter million dollar investment in machinery" to speed up their little line for a "made in Canada non restricted AR", I REFUSE to support a company that uses Canadian patriotism to sell their shit. That's a Tim hortons shtick if I ever saw one, and they're garbage.

How are they using their PaTrIAUTISM to sell their product?
Idgaf about their parts im not familiar with their inventory, but if you think that $1000 for a milled receiver set finished to excellent standards is expensive youre wrong. Its on par with any other premium milled AR receivers from American manufacturers, and additionally, they also had to develop the product itself, which costs time and money. Its not just modifying some CAD files.
>>
>>41737533
Can this be done with one of the NR uppers? Then a lower can be 3d printed very easily?
>>
>>41737582
>Can this be done
You're not looking at it right.
I don't have one of the NR-15's/10's, but asking if something CAN be made isn't really the right question. Can the government stop you from making them? And the answer is a resounding no.
But at that point, you may as well be making an AR lower instead.
It's not about guns, Anon. It's about control.
>>
>>41737416
>five machinist
It's actually 4. There are two manual machinists, they mostly do the odd jobs and general gunsmithing, along with helping out a lot in the modern sporter production for stuff like deburring and sandblasting. They sometimes button-push. There's one apprentice on top of that, he button presses and is learning CAM/cnc stuff. The fourth guy does the CADCAM, setups, new programs for new parts or for updates/fixes, comes up with all the process for all the production, does most of the quality control, does all the tooling, and fixturing, and tries to teach the new guy how not to crash CNCs.

You're correct about the rest.
