Post your firearm and I’ll say something nice about it.

Oh okay

This is one of my P320 X Fives set up for competition. Lets see, it had both a trigger job and Bar-Sto barrel fitted by Robert Burke, it has a tungsten guide rod with a 10lb 1911 recoil spring (at the moment) extended mag release and silicon carbide grip treatment. Shoots pretty flat for a plastic fantastic.

Its just a love of human ingenuity in engineering. Especially milsurp because because you can see what certain countries prioritized in their gun design and what their military doctrine emphasized. An example being the enfield no. 3, it still had volley sights because the british actually anticipated that they would volley fire shots about 2 miles away.

They really are extremely underrated guns. I love mine.
>Vortex Venom instead of Romeo1
>Talon grips instead of embedded grip texture
>DIY trigger job instead of sending it off
>swapped steel weight in grip for lead weight
>still using factory recoil spring
>still using factory barrel
I wanted a stout recoil spring because I'm shooting 135PF handloads through it mainly. Accuracy with the factory barrel is excellent, I can't see a Bar Sto being enough of an improvement to warrant the cost for me since this is an action-sports gun and I have an AMU Hardfit 1911 for bullseye.

Out of curiosity, what'd you get your trigger pull down to and were you able to do anything about the lots of overtravel?

Oh, also
>installed a setscrew to take up the pretravel
>trigger pull is 3lb 5oz
I need to mock up a sear cutting fixture so I can safely play with sear engagement angles. Should be able to completely eliminate creep and reduce overtravel. Also I'm still trying to talk Grayguns into selling me their reduced power trigger return spring since nobody else seems to sell one and they only offer it as part of their $80 drop-in trigger kit that's basically identical to the X-Five's trigger.

That is an interesting collection
Can you find flares?

Yeah 26.5 is the most common military surplus flare on the market, plus you can buy a sleeve for the barrel to use 12 gauge flares (though not shot shells as most shims are aluminum).
My next purchase is most likely a smith 5906, the Mauser model 80 which I actually bought today, I didn’t even plan on. I just saw it in a pawn shop for $400

What's the point of this small gun? So you can carry it in your pants. and shoot someone who tries to mug you? Unexpectedly of course.
