Hello, /k/. I'm part of the Mexican army, if you have any questions you want to ask, I'll be more than happy to answer them.

I'm also mexican and I was conscripted because of that meme military service for a year
Anyway in your opinion, based on the current state of the army, how much additional training do you think the army needs for the national guard to be even remotely effective? We already saw the clusterfuck with the huachicoleros when the army tried to do what a riot squad could've easily done

What would happen if the five million illegal Irish in Mexico City were ethnically cleansing several small Mexican provinces off the voting rolls simply by being there, and the local government was actually covering for them and helping them, like the five million border-jumping felons in California?

Bonus question: What if people called you racist for merely bringing it up?
>>
>>40874059
Take your time. Your prose style is polished enough. Where did you go to school?
>>
Is anyone actually issued the FX-05? Whenever I watch stuff involving the Mexican army, everyone is using G3s and M16s.
>>
>>40874077
you know what's hilarious this isn't even ironically a shitpost. My great grandfather was an Irish immigrant that settled in Baja California and spawned a bunch of irish kids. My grandmother was 100% redheaded with freckles, so is my mother but thankfully I didn't turn out a soulless ginger. Anyway my mother's side of the family still lives there and they're all irish kikes that used the lands my great grandfather acquired to build a bunch of shit like hotels and malls. We own part of those lands because of inheritance but you know how jews are so we didn't get shit.

>Is anyone actually issued the FX-05?
Yes, soldiers are issued Fx-05.

>>40873789
>>how dangerous are the cartels?
In all honesty, they are not dangerous. Most cartel foot soldiers aren't fully equipped with military grade weapons if that's what you are asking. They're specialized squads but those are few and far between.
In truth, the reason why we can't defeat the Cartels is due Human right watch, they watch over us like hawks issued a lot of warnings and crying for the cartels with our 8 killed for 1 injured ratio and asking the army to follow a set of rules that are deeply unpopular.

>>how common are illegal guns among the population, especially for average people?
It's not all that uncommon to know a family has guns, especially in the rural area, my grandmother and grandfather have illegal guns to defend themselves.
>>are there a lot of people who defect from the Mex. Army to cartels for money, or is that just documentary bullshit?
It's mostly Dramatization but there is some truth to it, but it ain't enough that the public loses faith in us.

.

Fairly patriotic, if the Government allows us to do our thing, instead of listening to foreigners, we would have already found a final solution to the cartel question. It's infuriating.

The Chinese are absolute filth. One can barely even class them as "human", and to class them as animals would be an insult to animals. They're amoeba, primordial leeches, bottom-feeding slime that have never evolved to have anything at all resembling "empathy". They almost literally are ant-people, working only for the colony, not stopping to help their fellow chinaman or even spare so much as a thought for another in that person's time of need.

Yes, they do. Often times they go after family members of the deceased.
>>
>>40875981
Because China would turn them into Guam/Korea, except with even less autonomy, more corruption, more intervention, and less interest in the Mexican people.

They fucking despise the parts of Africa they've moved into, and use them as nothing more than a new generation of colonies.
>>
>>40876638
That's by design, dumdum. Places like France and ESPECIALLY Spain have blurry lines between the two, while the charters for all of the US military branches except the Coast Guard and National Guard explicitly forbid them from acting in a law enforcement capacity except with the direct permission of the state's governor. The former because expecting cities to fund their own navies for police work is pushing it, and the latter because their whole existence is based on emergency response.
>>
>>40876638
Something that is hard to understand to those non-Mexicans is how utterly defenseless you are as a civilian should you ever be harassed/attacked by the cartels. There is just no one to run to for help except for the army and the navy. I even distrust federal police.

We have an enormous interest in keeping Mexico stable and relatively well off. The only reason we don't descend from the heavens and blow the cartels away for you is because it'd be (rightfully) seen as an intrusion on Mexican sovereignty. We'd very much love for your country to stop being fucked, but your government has to be the one to do that. Us doing all the work and then just dumping the result on a government is how we fucked Iraq up so badly the first time.

Yes. It's in America's best, most selfish AND selfless interests for Mexico to be a peaceful, prosperous country who likes us. Cartels only fuck up our country as well, and weaken the wall of North American solidarity we want to create.

If South America goes bust and succumbs to revolution yet again, we need Mexico to be strong and friendly. We don't want you being Pakistan 2: Electric Traitorboo.

Mexico has very good trade relationship with the US why would they want to ruin that, their economy would tank hard if they actually tried to invade. Not to mention that I’m pretty sure that the US and Canada have defensive deals with the Mexico. Like if if another country invaded the US Mexico and Canada would immediately help
>>
>>40883066
It's called the Monroe Doctrine, and while it's been selectively enforced in the past, the US still effectively enforces it.

Anyone not from North or South America trying to interfere directly with them has to go through America. It's why South America wasn't really abused as badly as Africa when colonialism was all the rage. While America wasn't a major threat yet, it still would've been a nauseating nuisance to annoy them for the sake of an apparently pretty worthless area of land, so Europe mostly fucked off and left the place alone.

Rice farmers, anyone? Using guerilla tactics Mex could give U.S trouble. They've got the home field advantage; some pretty fucking thick bushes just like vietnam, which I'm sure they know inside out. They also have native testosterone. The U.S has a pretty hard time dealing with sandal wearing AK wielding goat fuckers even now. I'm not saying mexico would win an all out war with the U.S, but I wouldn't call it a stomp in the U.S's favor. There would be casualties. They might even be able to hold them back until someone puts the U.S on check. Public opinion matters these days, it's not just about firepower.
>>

Not OP. Don't know about them catching you with a gun, but bribing police is standard M.O. simply because if they're bored and they stop you, whatever bullshit fine they wanna tack on you will be so outrageous compared to the average salary, that there's just no possible way for you to pay it off. So, what you do is you give them a couple hundred pesos to fuck off. My cousin's told me at times when he's broke, he's had to give them his cellphone. Also, you don't wanna give them any shit. If you have weed on you or whatever, motherfucker, you better be up front with that shit and cough it up, you'll actually be better off. If you make them do extra work by searching your car and they find that shit, they'll kick your fucking teeth in. Just give them your contraband, pay the pig toll, and be on your marry way. That's how it is over there, it's just part of life. It's actually kinda cool. I wish I could bribe cops over here for a fraction of whatever ticket they wanna give me.

keep some money in your breast pocket so you don't appear aggressive when retrieving it.

i've also head some other things work well as bribes - cigs, swiss army knife (though be careful and make sure you're not brandishing it), surefire flashlights, mobile phones, g-shock watches, nice sunglasses (rayban, oakley)
and i believe silver american coins will work too - silver eagles, morgan dollars etc, not just a hand full of quarters

>>

less people, more educated officers and mostly the high ranking officers are not infantry and the navy is pretty picky with who they enlist and the officers.

in order to be an officer, you need to go to the naval academy, there's no "ROTC" or stuff like that.

also, its practically for life, your not expected to leave till you retire.

Apparently, if I'm correct, The Chinese government is using Mexico's Drug War to undermine and exploit Mexico's Resource by Using its criminal gangs. Illegal Mining operation along with illegal fishing have started appearing, its the reason the Mexican Marines are now taking over the port cities. The Mexican navy is dealing with this by capturing and decommission Chinese boats, while the Chinese government throws a tantrum.

They got expensive kits and they know hot to fight. They're also near the border.

What nationalities mostly join these kill-teams for the cartel?
Kaibiles for one. A few Americans soldiers have been hired to be assassins, really anyone that have military skills and training. .

>Ex-US armed forces or other former servicemen from latin americas?
U.S soldiers who were deported join the cartels. Of course, not all join willingly, some are pressed into service by the cartels, forced into a criminal lifestyle, they are the ones who peacefully surrenders
>>
>>40907261
>anti-mercenaries
Kinda. A few years ago, cartels were recruiting Kaibiles (Guatemalan SF) and other Central American SF defectors for a lot of money. The unit anon is referring to (Fuerza Especial de Reacción - Special Reaction Force) isn’t explicitly there to hunt down mercenaries, but they’re the army’s tier-1 unit and undergo training with multiple special forces around the world, including Delta. Because of this, they’re better trained than Central American SF and are considered a safer choice when sending out a team to dispatch them.
>ex-US armed forces
Has happened in the past, but I don’t think they’ve ever been SF, just US Army or USMC infantry.

Standard issue rifle for the marines is SIG-516, except in the case that you’re the fire team’s grenadier. You get an M16A2 because the M203 that Mexican armed forces use don’t fit under the shorter SIG barrels.

Mexican Army standard issue is the FX-05. Some G3s are still used as the FX-05 is slowly but surely transitioning into service. Standard machine gun in both branches is the Minimi. Para version is most popular.

Only handguns you ever see on them are on officers, so not very prolific.

Pic is joint training between Mexican and American marines.

People leaving the army and joining the cartels are by defenition not corruption. If they stayed and let shit slide, returned catched drugs to the cartel then that is corrupt. But some shitlifes out of money or chasing a new high after leaving the army dosent make the army corrupt.

Chink here. The concept of race is different in Asia when compared to Western countries. Asians typically believe that each Asian country contains a different race. There's no more comradery between a gooks/chinks/japs than there is between niggers/spics/whites. The only thing Asians can agree on is that there is a tier based system to distinguish the "fancy" vs "jungle" Asians.
Here's how it breaks down:
Orientals: Japanese, Korean, Chinese (exlcuding Mainlanders, so only Taiwanese/Singaporeans)
Mainland Chinks
Jungle Asians: Viets, Laos, Cambodian, Thai, ect
Island niggers: Filipinos, Indonesians, ect
