IS THIS AN ISSUE WITH OTHER ARs? I think something is fuck with my (>>40249049 # I'm reposting the picture here) bolt catch/release. When the bolt is held open, I can basically slap the gun anywhere and the bolt catch will slip, releasing the bolt. This is my first AR but not the first I've handled. I'm thinking I need to texturize the bolt catch or the part of the bolt face that touches the bolt catch. Not fucking sure though. It's a milspec lower part and the buffer spring is a standard strength carbine spring.

SCC, you're a dickweed for starting the premature thread. But you among the least cancerous tripsfucks. Like my gun?
>>
>>40249268
It's growing on me from an aesthetic standpoint. If it somehow manages to stitch together tighter groups than the Buffoni 16" I'll probably be forced to throw a shitty bipod on it with an M5 RAS and ruin the aesthetic.

>>40249300
The body can go a long time without food. Every meal you skip is an extra USGI mag.

I'm not that anon but I also use Lancers. I use Lancers, okay surefeeds (USGI) and gen 2 PMAGs. Not a lot of variety but I have multiples of each.
The Lancers have been good to me. I had 8 at one point but traded a couple to a friend for more Okay surefeeds.
They are lighter than USGI and PMAGS but the Okay ind USGIs have been taken over as my favorite mags and that's what I'll stock up on.

I practice shooting at close ranges by snapping from a low ready to train my presentation and to train to understand my hold overs. Most likely if I use my AR it’s bevause someone broke in and they won’t be more then 15 yards from me.

I also like doing drills where I do double taps as quick as possible or shooting and moving by doing what Pat Mac does

the difference between the 2 and 3 is that the gen 2 was designed for AR 15s specifically and they were janky in SCARs. Gen 3s were designed to work better with the SCAR.

Before being accused of anything this is just for verification purposes, theres a guy in my range with shit tier rifles (BCA, BM and radical firearms) but has gucci optics like a NF ATACR, Elcan, an Acog and some aimpoints, I asked how he could afford that much glass, he says he scams amazon out of them and is in the middle of getting a comp m5,I could see hes not lying because his rifles are shitty except for the glass, but hard to believe that amazon will let you get away with scamming thousands of dollars worth of stuff.

I worked for Amazon CS for a while. There is a certain limit you can scam to, and it ultimately winds up to the CS agent to make that determination. I had a guy call in, said his box with like $3000 worth of high end PC parts never arrived. There were like 20 accounts linked to him that had all been banned over the past few years. I checked his account history and saw MULTIPLE returns, refunds, and replacements for items that "never arrived." He screamed and yelled at me for like an hour, never asking to speak to a supervisor because he knew they'd just ban him right away. When he hung up I sent his account up and it got closed out.

It was probably the worst job I ever had, and I would rather stock shelves at a grocery store than do that shit again.
>>
>>40251058
theyre the real deal, he let me check them out, build quality and glass clarity is on point, he says he swaps the optics with with chink shit or reports the packages missing, I could understand reporting shit missing once but he says hes done it like 3 times and they replace it or refund his money.
>>40251070
not really my business man, he would know its me, since I assume im the only hes told
>>40251073
do they even check the returns? I ordered some fagpul pros and I received some fake troy BUIS, i think they were like $20 ozark armament shit, the package I received looked open, thats why I never buy any items over $100 on amazon.
>>
>>40251108
what do you mean check the returns? I worked in a call center and had nothing to do with receiving stuff. I imagine your average warehouse worker probably wouldnt know the difference anyways.
>>
>>40250609

Hey what kind of handguard is that ?
>>
>>40251125
the returns people make, do the workers even check thats its the items listed? in my case obviously someone "bought" legit fagpul pros swapped them for chinck buis and returned them, I got the original packaging but no pros. bought a couple of 4tb HDs 2 out of the 4 bought, were swapped with non working 1tb HDs.

Ordered 2 new Geissele SSA trigger during the new years sale. Got them yesterday and installed them. One of the hammers has a defective hammer pin spring. I emailed Geissele and the below is the response I get. I'm expected to buy a new hammer? WTF! I had always heard Geissele had great CS so I figured I would have a new one in the mail no questions asked with a shipping label to mail the defective hammer back, but oh no.

"Roberto L (Geissele Automatics)

Jan 10, 1:53 PM EST

Good Afternoon,

If you would like to purchase a new hammer that is fine we can take a phone order. We would also have to go the route of an RMA where you would sent the trigger and hammer into us for us to pair the trigger with another hammer. Once the phone order is processed we would send the new trigger unit out to you. Please send it along with a printed completed copy of the RMA form attached to this email to:"
>>
>>40251413
you will be good to go, lowers are pretty easy to build. A set of pin punches is a must have, he probably has them but if not they are cheap and available everywhere. I would recommend spending $15-20 on one of the armorer's wrenches, mostly for the castle nut. in time you will get plenty of use out of it, well worth it imo. here is an example:
https://www.ebay.com/p/Armorers-Rifle-Combo-Wrench-Tactical-Heavy-Duty-Steel-All-in-One-for-223-Ar15/1239196721?iid=301720356085

New Jersey resident (feel like a prisoner) here. Looking to buy an AR-15. I don't need any frills and am just looking for a reliable rifle that won't be blinged out or have a bunch of tac shit on it.

Is there anything wrong with a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport 2? (.223/5.56). Is there any particular reason its as cheap as it is? Are there any specific brands of AR-15 to absolutely avoid? I'm pretty much buying blind here as all gun shops/ranges by me require a "buddy system" to rent a gun. All of my friends work entirely different shifts than me and our schedules won't be linked up for another 2 weeks or so, and I don't want to wait that long.

For fuck's sake, just buy/make an AR pistol. Pistol braces are the shit. If the Fedcucks ban them, then you still have the option of going the SBR route.

Some people have too much to lose and too little to gain by owning an illegal SBR. A short-barreled AR is awesome, but not worth getting v& over.

Meh. Aero is greater than/equal to BCM. Then PSA and BCA are at the waaaay bottom. But if we're talking about barrels? I'd wager BCM barrels are just as good as Aeros....but Aeros accuracy is substandard compared to say a Centurion or LMT...Rock River makes good barrels too.

It's a DSA "Enhanced Delta Ring", doesnt do anything special but the slab side looks good with the CASV

I love the rail system, think it's one of the most aesthetic ones out there. It does limit your optic options though since itll fuck any chance of cowitness unless you compensate for the raised rail over the receiver.

The pic in my previous post has a triji reflex sight that gets a lower 1/3 cowitness which is fine for me, this one has the Aimpoint T1 in the American Defense mount made specifically for the CASV so it lines up properly. I've heard other trijicons with super low mounts will work, could probably get an RMR to line up easily, but most optics will sit too high.

If you like the rail more than you dislike the inconvenience, its bitchin.

NJ boi here. Just got back from the range/store. Bought pic related. Stag Arms .223/5.56 AR-15. It was used and the Bubba who owned it fucking super glued a flashlight/laser combo onto the bottom right where your hand is supposed to be. The shop gave me a discount on the gun itself and free labor for the shroud replacement I bought. (Magpull, unsure if that's a bad brand?) All in all I paid $770 at the door for the gun, background check, full size mag, 3 boxes of cheap .223. Gun also came with a Colt rifle bag and sling.

So how'd I do? (I managed to put 30 rounds near center at 25 yards. So I'm pretty much a pro shooter desu)

This ones pretty sweet though. It's a combo of fiber optic and tritium with an amber dot. It's nice not having to worry about batteries and I haven't had any issues with the dot washing out, unless you're looking at something the EXACT shade of amber/orange.
