This thread is for the discussion of untranslated Japanese visual novels. What are you playing? What are you looking forward to? What have you finished? You know the drill.

Is ωstar dead?
>>21840421Probably. Or maybe they're making a full game this time instead of a short nukige.
>>21840574It always took them some time to even make a shortish nukige
Does anyone have [TLWiki]_YU-NO_Japanese_vpatch_v1.00.exe for original Yu-no ?? Seems like tlwiki is dead and every voice patch I can find is for English translated version, not Japanese.
>>21841005It's been uploaded like 5 times in the archive,
I wonder if you guys could help me. I suddenly remembered a visual novel I was looking forward to some time ago. It was a boy raised in a very strict family with his two sisters. Then their parents decided he should marry one of 3 daughters of a friend of their family and moves all 3 daughters into their home for him to get to know.In the game you can choose one of the protagonist's two sheltered sisters or one of the 3 really forward daughters.
https://vndb.org/u15/listRate my list you plebs
Every girl in Imouto no Okagede Motesugite Yabai was best girl. Still the best of the best girls was the imouto. The only girl in Yome Sagashi ga Hakadorisugite Yabai I didn't like was the classmate you meet on the roof and although all the sisters weren't perfect they were at least cute. Again, the best route by far was the imouto. So how's Kamidanomi Shisugite Ore no Mirai ga Yabai? Worth buying for the summer sale? Or should I play it first and risk missing the sale? The lack of an imouto has me hesitant.
>>21843430He is right about the game part. That pretentious crap that follows though, that deserves laughing at.
>>21843356It's not great>moogys listOh that explains it
>>21843640I quite liked the characters in Imouto, though I didn't like how the routes were literally empty and the writer(s) never ever wrote anything out, that's not just dialogue about nothing. The Kami game had literally one okay heroine in my opinion. The rest sucked. And the one that is okay was the type I generally don't really like and can't be played first. A big part of this might've been the bad "story" though.
>>21843722The only thing Baldr Sky Dive is, is the most padded video game. Even Favorite stuff is nothing in comparison.
>>21843809I love padding though. I can't get myself into short games.
>>21843800I quite enjoy cute girls doing cute things. My favorite VNs are often very shallow story wise.
>>21843243Oh of course, I could narrow the search by adding 'Under the same roof'https://vndb.org/v163392015. I wasn't going back far enough. Has it really been that long? Dear god.
>>21843842I'd still like to not have 3 routes that are identical with the exception of the girl, still plenty of copy and paste in route 2, the reminiscence crap where you know 99% and had to read some of it twice already at that point and the last route adding a recap because it's not like you've gone through everything again and again and again and again already. You can read a short game 3 times in the row as well, you know.
>>21845075>3 routes that are identicalOnly 2 are identical, Chinatsu and Aki-nee. And the former is just a shitty unpolished beta version of the latter. But yeah, the repeats are terrible and broken skip button only adds to the insult. Goes to show how much Japs are clowns who can't code for shit. When I just started, I thought pic related is some smart mindfuck. Nope, turns out this game is made by tech illiterates.
has anyone here played Tinkerbell's 攫ノ雌 (Sarai no Me)all the text is fucked up and I can't figure out whyit's not a jap language settings issue
I'm trying to play Mojika. Quite frankly the nonstop edgy bullshit is turning me off but I hope it'll get interesting later on.Does the psychic power get used for anything except sex?
>>21847150searching through /vg/ archive led me to a fix, had to use Locale Emulator with the setting "fake UI language"apparently having language for non-unicode programs set to japanese wasn't enough
>>21847174I don't think it's any more edgy than most dark nukige, I'd say it's pretty tame actually, but If you're not enjoying the vibe early on at the very least then drop it now.
>>21847264What are some actually edgy nukige? I've read Mojika and thought it was pretty tame too.
Anyone read any netori recently? I need my fix...
>>21847403I've been reading 若妻万華鏡 lately when I feel like it and it's pretty nice.
Even though his last two games weren't so hot, I'm pretty excited for this. I love snowy settings. Maybe going back to the kuru series is what he needs to become good again.
>>21847493he has been getting worse after every release recently so I doubt it.
>>21847493Hope he goes with the second one and the four dimensions battle he is talking about is a psychological one.
>>21847493Akikuru was already unreadable for me, while I also felt that Natsukuru was worse than Harukuru. I feel like he tries way too hard to be special and fucks up as a result. For example, Natsukuru has many signs that it's going to be like Harukuru, but then nothing actually matters and it's just some random thing, while the story is something else. Aka a gigantic red herring that made most of the game feel rather irrelevant. In Akikuru he then switched between "comedy" and serious stuff every 2 minutes making neither really work. Add to that not particularly good sci-fi. I actually couldn't even play the game for more than one hour though, so who knows, maybe it gets better. The beginning felt beyond awful to me though.Feels really like he tries too hard to prove himself. But I haven't tried his newest two games yet.
Aside from one VN I can’t think of any other examples of real netori. Real netori is where the girl is in a loving relationship with her partner but who is stolen by the protagonist. What you get is the girl in one-sided / bad relationship so while the protag technically steals her in reality it wasn’t a real couple to begin with.Aside from that there’s mindbreaks but that’s its own genre.
I haven't looked in this thread in like half a year, but are edgy plotge still dead for the foreseeable future or is there something in the pipelines? I miss my hotblooded robots/armor and timeloops to be honest. Taking a look at EGS and archives, Sakura, moyu seems well received so I guess I'll give it a try. Also, is getting VNs to work smoothly on VMs a futile effort? I was trying to get 抜きゲーみたいな島に住んでる貧乳はどうすりゃいいですか? to work on my laptop with linux (mint) in a VM, but video seemed to get fucked up and the overall game didn't seem very smooth.
>>21848288Sakura, Moyu is extremely bloated and bad, stay away.As for edgy games, there was Dead Days I guess.
>>21848288Beware that Sakura, Moyu has some really bad pacing problems. The story and presentation itself is rather unique and might be good enough to make up for that depending on your tastes, it's a rather polarizing game that some people love to bits and others find boring. Give it a try and if the first route doesn't make you want to kill yourself you'll probably find it worthwhile.
>>21847331Maggot Baits is edgy as fuck. You might want to look at the catalogue of Clock up, Black Cyc or Xuse as well.
>eroge icons lined up while nephew uses computer
>>21848930pour one out for anon
>>21848930Play one with him.
>>21849352He doesn't even know English, but I bet he could handle some simple gameplay like Rance 01
>>21849408Read something for him translating from Jap to your language on the fly. Or give him something already translated in his language.
>>21848288>Also, is getting VNs to work smoothly on VMs a futile effort?I just use wine, a lot of エロゲ's work with it these days, both newer and older titles. Just get the latest version you can for your distro and get winetricks to download dlls certain エロゲ's might need.
>>21849470This. You might inadvertently make him learn Japanese and perhaps later he'll write the best eroge this world has ever seen.
anyone have the update patch for 猥免教官 ?it's listed on nawa but has no linkweb.archive doesn't have it and has a mysterious gap like the company changed domains but i can't find proofdownloaded it from 3 users on AS none included the patch
Guys I just browsed VNDB going through my annual scan of developers I liked. I think the era of quality VNs are over, year and after its just moeshit:1. Age. They don't appear to make games anymore.2. Xuse. I actually liked Kami-sama no Game (and it got me hooked on the source web novel) but nothing until Spirit of Eternity Sword comes out.3. AkabeSoft (and sub-brands). After Looseboy's last game years ago, jack shit. Just loads of moe filth.4. Nitroplus. Waiting for the next Muramasa I guess means I'm going to wait forever.5. Candy Soft / Minato. Tsukiss after the first one sucks and there hasn't been a new Majikoi in years. If I want moe garbage I'm set for life. Drama, edge, thrills, etc -- hardly anything. Even good sci-fi / technothrillers, there's fuck all. Very off-putting and depressing.
>>21852231Sucks to be you, I guess.

https://youtu.be/iV-ihYqU1cUWhat a mysterious collab. I genuinely don't understand who wanted this and how it was set up.
>>21853430I always thought it was weird that their games didn't have gameplay. On first impression they do look like gameplay VNs so this makes sense to me.
>>21853430someone between the two companies are probably friends. one of the cool things about jp companies is how easy collabs and crossovers can sometimes happen. more importantly i like how they waste the whole video introducing characters anyone who cares about the series already knows and don't show anything related to the actual collab
Only indirectly VN related, but can anyone upload the LN sequel to Carnival by our lord and saviour Setoguchi-sama? Been trying to find it with Share, but no luck so far.
>>21856023Write a post with your thoughts on the game and I'll consider uploading it.
>>21856023https://www55.zippyshare.com/v/bYvusVnf/file.htmlCan't believe how hard such things have become to get these days. You're looking for some old thing and suddenly all sources are dead despite it being uploaded in the past. Makes me anxious.
>>21856287Thank you very much.
>>21856060The game is extremely good of course, Setoguchi's prose is a pleasure to read and there's a strong thematic philosophy underlying the narrative, but despite this I was somewhat dissatisfied with the work. It suffers significantly from the interwoven scenes by inferior side writers, which detract from the overall flow of Setoguchi's scenario, and the route structure, which while an interesting experiment in multiple perspectives does result in a level of repetition and retracing the same plot that negatively affects the reader's experience. One can draw parallels with other similar works such as Subahibi or Oretsuba, and it is safe to conclude their respective writers were inspired by Carnival, however, those create a far deeper and more intricate narrative that Carnival does not quite succeed in achieving. One might say it is a biproduct of its time, no doubt in the year 2004 the work far outshone other similar visual novels, and it is precisely because the corresponding themes were presented here that future writers were able to build off them in their own unique ways, but nevertheless as a modern reader it fails to attain the same status when held in equal comparison to the masterpieces of the genre of today.Nevertheless, Setoguchi's prose is still undoubtedly top-class, and one can see many glimpses of his genius that will become expanded upon in later works, one can draw parallels between the symbolic themes the characters represent and that of later works, and hence once one has indulged in Setoguchi's incomparably exquisite masterpieces such as Kira Kira and Swan Song, it is indeed highly recommended to experience Carnival too to gain the greater level of understanding into his growth as a philosophical scenarioist.
How do I read VNs with voice acting? I've just been turning it off because I can't stand it but I feel like a total pleb.
>>21841005its on nyaa
>>21852231The only game nitroplus even has in the works is that demonbane writer game that hasn't had news to its name for years, and the writer is working on the fucking azur lane anime instead.
>>21853624Technically their games do have gameplay, it's just incredibly simplistic. >>21853800Not only that, the confirmed cast so far are all ones who already have a ton of exposure.
>>21857275A bit more meta than actual game commentary than I like to see personally, but alright. I assume you were able to grab the link above? Seems like anon took it down again.
Its been 11 years since the first akagoei and Kinugasa still can't manage to write a decent ending,Probably the worst heroine routes by him as well, although I haven't read reminiscence. Epilogue was just obvious set up for the soshage and de-legitimizes claris's route which was locked behind 3 other routes just leaving me even more dissatisfied than I was already expecting to be.Will there be a eroge sequel or we just stuck with the soshage?
>>21861123Just read Youjitsu, can't be disappointed by the ending if it never ends.
>>21861154Im guessing "package edition" is referring to the "regular edition" on vndb that is coming out on the 30th?Good to know that there is hope of a decent conclusion soon and that the soshage isn't relevant to the plot.
>>21856060The shower scene with the mom was quite nice. Also enjoyed the loli in the woods. The subjective POV was used quite nicely to control the information that the player gets at a certain point. My feelings went from Risa is an 裏切り者 to lmao best girl ever. Might have even shed some tears, dunno.A girl was teaching me French at the time I was reading this, and she and the novel both referenced the "cadavre exquis" (贅沢な屍 in CARNIVAL). She said she appreciated feedback so I told her how her lessons made me catch this reference in this "visual novel". She was very happy and said she just loves it when her students actually learn something from what she's trying to say during lessons. She had us do some writing assignments in French and I wrote some bawdy stuff with inverted nipples and so on. She told me I had a gift for writing and that I should definitely continue. (She's not the first one to tell me that.) I thought she liked me so I asked her out to coffee, but she said "well, I'm really busy atm, but maybe in September", so in September I messaged her "so how about that coffee", and she never replied, nor has she seen the message. A few months later she even unfriended me.
Does she have content in the new append?
Can someone help me out? I'm trying to play kizuato but something is fucked up
>>21861310I mean, it's clearly telling you what to do, EOP. Have you tried following it? I dunno if you have all the information needed, but that's something you should solve on your end.But in truth what you really should do is get the HDI of the game. Or even the 2009 version which includes a modern port of the PC98 version. But first learn Japanese.
>>21861272yeah I likely am....... I seem to be soo desperate for hope of a decent ending that I somehow managed to interpret the "パッケージ版に付いてきた冊子データを配布” + ”シナリオはパッケージ版で完結させる” as meaning that the regular edition that comes out on the 30th will have a proper conclusion and the download edition will get that content on its release..........

>>21861654Wasn't it full voice before? I haven't read the game yet, so possibly interesting.
Is there anything that one can read to prepare for Muramasa? I heard the setting is pretty intricate in terms of history/ politics etc so I was wondering if there are any history books that would be relevant. My Japanese history knowledge isn't too great outside a bit about the Sengoku period and some Meiji Restoration stuff. If not actual books then maybe just topics to research.
>>21865088An actual Japanese history and geography middle and high school course. No, seriously, take a look at high school textbooks.
>>21865354So it's "stuff everyone knows", where everyone is people who went to japanese school? One doesn't have to dig super deep into stuff?

>>21865088Outside of reading up on general history (particularly 幕府 stuff), you can check out Hanachirasu if you haven't already. Nitro+ actually developed Hanachirasu specifically to get people used to Narahara's writing style before releasing Muramasa. (In Hanachirasu he also explains some principles of sword fighting that don't get repeated in Muramasa with the same amount of detail.) You can also watch some 時代劇 to get used to the type of terminology you'll be encountering. Ultimately though (making sure not to give off the wrong idea here), there's no harm in researching this stuff as you read Muramasa, when the politics/history gets heavy it can be hard to follow along without this background knowledge but researching terms as they come up (or just deriving understanding from the context of the scene/Narahara's own explanations/etc) is totally fine. It's a game where preparation is valuable and will enhance your understanding, but it's not something to stress too much over. You'll have a good time either way.Definitely recommend reading Hanachirasu first though. It's short enough to finish in a single setting and is good by its own merits.
>>21861310If you download the remake of the game, it comes with a PC port of the PC98 version of the game. One of the remake releases anyway.
>>21869905>Nitro+ actually developed Hanachirasu specifically to get people used to Narahara's writing style before releasing Muramasa. No they didn't. Stop making things up.

You folks reread games often? Or even at all? I would imagine not, what with how long they can be and how little changes on a second reading.I'm going through pic related right now due to having previously loved it and it's surprisingly enjoyable for a second time, probably because of the freedom the middle section gives you. Done with the common route. In terms of which girls I liked during the common route, the order would probablyYoshimi > Erika-Otome >>>> shit > KaniNagomi and Sunao because the latter was a rather late addition, so making an impression of her is a bit hard but seems kinda nice since she fits my tastes physically and personality-wise. the latter on the other hand had like 15 lines of dialogue in the common route.Impressions will probably change once I'm reading their routes except for kani, since i'm not reading it But this vn is really a blast from the past, so many Tsunderes, a relic of a bygone age I suppose.Having a fair amount of fun which is nice.
>>21886575Pretty sure Sunao's route was 1st added in the ps2 version which explains why she might not have much content in the common. The tsuyokiss 1 version of her route was the best by far in my opinion.
>>21886585>The tsuyokiss 1 version of her route was the best by far in my opinionYeah, I'm kind of interested in seeing what kind of history she had with Reo, what with his whole テンションに流されない thingIs there anyone's route which is significantly better in the third game? Or are they different enough that I can read both without treading old ground?
>>21886585Weak ending/climax though.
>>21886633>Or are they different enough that I can read both without treading old ground?Depends on the route , most as far as I remember are quite different but ones like Nagomi's were quite similar across the series.

Any non gameplay eroge with decent elf girl routes?
>>21887344Muramasa's 蝦夷 are pretty much elves. Main heroine is one as well.

>>21891206Hmm, maybe he really couldn't handle seeing his major work (translation of Light games) crumble.
Eroge Hscenes need more use of contraceptives such as condoms and afterpills . For the sake of my autistic immersion.
>>21891641I remember how in giniro haruka they go in depth about how expensive pills are and how they spend half a year just saving to have enough money. It was annoying as shit.
>>21891670And then there's Nukitashi where literally every girl gets a handful of government issued pills for free.
>>21891641that loli ntr game by erectlip is pretty nice with the contrast between the loving sensei always using a condom, while the rape sensei never uses one
>>21891704yeah but nukitashi isnt goodoverrated parody
>>21892098That's right. What a garbage game. It's only highly rated because of all the ebin references that all Japanese oldfags see and pat themselves on the shoulders for recognizing them.
Alright, doujin game time. I like the advice to the lower right.
Is there a site with torrents like Mikocon, but with older novels?
>>21892163Thank you, I don't understand
>>21891641They really shouldn't, population is decreasing rapidly in Japan after all.
>>21892726And you think unplanned pregnancies are going to change that for the better? When the parents can't get a stable income because of it and can't take care of the child in a country where school and all is super expensive? Okay. You deal with this by making children less expensive and more rewarding in general. Not by making contraceptives expensive.
>>21892281It's in the image name. The first on of the "series".
Who is the most chaddest VN protag out there?
Does anyone know that one VN where the protagonist was given this stopwatch that makes him able to turn back time The girls is like this scientist, this black-haired girl with some sickness and one girl who I cant remember what she looks like
>>21892127glad you understand
Kinda surprising how based Spinne is in Ikabey.
>>21894069Based on whom/what?
>>21892726Natural selection doing its work.
>>21893688Not even the chaddest Alicesoft protag
This is fucking hard. How do I deal with the moral dilemma of not wanting to say rude things to girls despite wanting to rape and corrupt them? Should I just skip chaos route?
>>21896111It's recommended to do Law first since Chaos builds off plot revelations in Law. So skipping it on a first run is a safe call. On future runs just push through the tears.
>>21893274dekinai watashi ga kurikaesu
>>21888211>Oh, always had the impression that it was more or less linear. It may as well be, you can do 英雄編 (Ichijou) and 復讐編 (Kanae) in either order, but 魔王編 (Chachamaru/Muramasa) is always third and naturally the common route always comes first. So you have like a 25 hour common route, two 8-ish hour routes in the middle, then a 16 hour long-ish true route. It's as close to linear as you can be without quite making it there.
>>21896157Well, for one, I don't give a shit about "plot revelations". You could tell me all plot twists or whatever and it wouldn't affect my enjoyment in the slightest. Second, I thought in all those kinds of games you're supposed to do evil route first and good route last to end the playthrough on a happy note, was I wrong?
>>21896200Venus Bloods often have true routes so that's not an issue. That said if you're low IQ enough to not care about plot structure, I imagine true routes won't matter either, just go ham and do whatever you want.
How can I learn to achieve full self-insertion into a character?
>>21896230The true low IQ is actually being bound by plot structure and author's intentions like an NPC instead of doing whatever you want though.
>>21896233try visiting /kcs/ threads
>>21896290Then just use your quadruple digit IQ to figure out how to deal with that "moral dilemma" yourself instead of asking us how you should play a game.
>>21896233Unironically this. When i hear the MCs name my immersion hits full stop and the VN suddenly turns into NTR.
>>21897558Suck to be you.>VN suddenly turns into NTR. just become a cuck so its enjoyable for you.
>>21897538I've already figured it out. I'll just play all VB games I'm interested in suffering through chaos route first, then doing law.>>21897558Realize that your own name doesn't matter. You never were named by your parents. That way, any MC's name becomes your name.
>>21897604Or just play a game with a nameable protagonist
Should I play the PC version of Utawarerumono or emulate the PS2 one?
>>21897581Indeed but at least my backlog stays manageable. >>21897604Realize that your own name doesn't matter. You never were named by your parents. That way, any MC's name becomes your name. How to trick my mind into doing that? As i have said when i hear the name most of my immersion is already broken and then im angry that the MC can score the girls.>>21897613Sadly its a feature mostly in nukiges, i think only SMEE does moege with that feature.
>>21897956>How to trick my mind into doing that?I don't fucking know, man. That thing I wrote was a shitpost, but I legit don't understand your problems. The first video game that I've played was WC3:TFT in 2003, and I was 7 y/o back then and I thought of myself as Arthas in one campaign and as Rexxar in another. And it's no different 16 years later when I'm playing eroge.
>>21896200In those kind of games I usually do good first since the first time you finish a game sticks with you more than the second and then treat evil route as a 'what if'.
>>21898011What broke me was when i played Persona, before that i had no issues but then i played Persona and the combination of silent/nameable/second person narration really changed the way i approach games due to how immersive it was.
Immersion is gay shit. View yourself as an invisible force guiding the protagonist.
>>21898033But Persona shows you scenes the protagonist isn't even part of. It clearly makes a difference between YOU and the protagonist in terms of information you know. Storytelling-wise it's obviously a good thing to do. Fixing yourself on one character only who doesn't even have a personality can't go well. (which is why heavy self-insert stuff is generally terrible as far as story and characters go) But then why even bother with creating half-assed self-insert stuff in the first place? In hopes people don't even realize that this happens or somehow don't care? Seems to at least somewhat work, surprisingly. But I never understood what the heck they want to do with Persona. Either you go full "this is YOU, you can decide how to tackle things and only know what this character does" or you create an actual character to play as..
>>21898464>But Persona shows you scenes the protagonist isn't even part of.Just treat is as memory feed into your brain while you sleep.
Who let the pathetic moebutas out of their cage?
>>21897725Did you know the remake is out or do you not have a Vita/PS4? From the old version PS2 is much improved.

>>21899638Stop pretending to be retarded.

How long is Ikabey? I'm now at the point where Ludwig visited Claudia and then Bey talked to him and punched him in the church. It feels like the game could end at any moment after just one big fight.
>>21899647There's a live Katfile upload on Eyny.
>>21899647then don't use nyaa you retard. if you don't see a torrent from girlcelly or mikocon then look for them on AS, one of their torrents has 3 seeds
>>21898464>But Persona shows you scenes the protagonist isn't even part of. It clearly makes a difference between YOU and the protagonist in terms of information you know. I dont see the issue, you have VNs that sometimes change the POV. With Persona what helped is that the protag is nothing more than the player vehicle rather than a character which is what VN protags are since no matter how bland a personality they make it is still one (Most of the time an annoying one too).
>>21900223In VNs, the protags are actually characters. No matter what some others may want to believe. They have their own name, background and so on, as shallow as it tends to be.Persona does it in a "YOU transferred", never refers to ANYTHING from the past and so on. It's rather different. Only a few extreme cases of VNs do the same, and those usually stick to the protag, have them nameable and so on. With the typical issues that brings. (extremely shallow heroines)
>>21900223>>21900303Can you autists stop arguing about retarded shit? You play as the MC of any given game. He or she is (You), regardless of their name, look, personality of other traits. Period.
>>21900334>MCThat's not the same thing as "protagonist".
>>21900456Useless semantics again. Just stop.
>>21900334They objectively aren't. If you self-insert you are an autist of incurable degree and a shame to humanity. Kindly kill yourself and do everyone a favor.
>>21900700Not being able to self-insert is a better sign of autism.
>>21900700https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59pvij73-N0&t=114s>you play as an outlaw>the feeling of being there, of walking the streets of the future, is really going to be breathtakingI guess he is also an autist of incurable degree and a shame to humanity. Sucks to be him, he really should kill himself.
>>21900462Sure, I'll stop my useless discussion of insignificant things like "meaning".
>>21900303Yeah i get that. Just wish i could get the same immersive feel with VNs.>>21900334Sadly i cant see that. The whole first person narration makes it so like you are just reading the adventures of a guy getting laid.
>>21903165Having peanuts for brains must be very hard. Both for you, who needs ten crutches and a wheelchair to associate yourself with fictional character, and for that >>21900700 retard, who obviously knows better how to play video games than people who did it for almost 20 years. Two sides of the same autism coin.
>if the MC is an established character, read the story normally and don't self insert>if the MC is a personalityless piece of cardboard with no defining character who you are obviously intended to pretend to be, self insertits that easy
>>21903480Every MC is a cardboard though. You have your typical nice guy, typical hetare, typical intelligent and nihilistic guy, typical pervert, typical rapist, typical Gary Stu, typical hero, typical villain. There isn't any single MC with established character that is not cliched or not part of someone's fantasy,
>>21903516if you break down someone enough there are no truly original characters, everyone is just a collection of cliches and fantasiesregardless, the reader should be able to use their own judgement to determine is any particular MC counts as an established character within the setting
>>21903545>the readerThe player. An eroge player. Not the reader of """"""visual novel"""""". You are not reading a literature, you are playing a fucking game.
>>21903563that kind of autism really isnt relevant to the point here
>>21903573It's not autism. In fact, it's retards who reinvent the wheel and play games the unintended way (by "reading" them) are ones that have autism.
>spend entire game reading text>reading is not the correct verbok
>>21903563I guess arguing semantics is only allowed when you do it, huh?
>>21903605How convenient of you to ignore all gameplay titles.
>>21903645Because that's like a grand total of ~5% of VNs. If it has gameplay, I'd say "play", but in all other cases, "read" is just fine. Now fuck off.
>>21903649You still interact with the game world even in titles with no gameplay through choices. Unless, of course, we are talking about some kinetic kusoge.
>>21903662So fucking what? You don't say you're "playing" a choose your own adventure novel; you say read. It's a perfectly applicable verb for what is essentially the digital version of that medium. "Play" is the out of place sounding one when that's not at all what you're doing.
>>21903675>choose your own adventure novelGlad we agreed that it's (Your) adventure, and not someone else's adventure. If you observe someone else's adventure or guide them or whatever instead of directly being a part of it, you are consuming this media (which eroge are part of) the wrong way. I'm done here.
>>21903690If the protagonist is named, or has a defined appearance in the VN, then they're not me; they're a character. The only instance where what you said is even potentially true are VNs where you can choose the protagonist's name.
>>21903690>I'm done here.I fucking wish you were. Despite always saying that this is a "retarded" argument you come back time and time again to take part, and this time between using a line from an E3 video as an argument and your insistence that a medium where 99% of its entries involve you reading 99% of the time are all "games" it's almost like you were afraid people *didn't* know you were from /v/. Please fuck off and stay fucked off.

>>21905444Wakasama was pretty decent >>21905448Yagihara is literally in it. Expect cameos from others from Kira Kira and Deardrops
>>21905448Kirari's true end is locked behind her normal end and the other three. Chie's route is pretty decent, she's a fun character too, the problem is mostly Sarina. And honestly the highest point of the whole novel is Kirari's normal end.
>>21905461Do the other two girls routes contain important information for Kirari's routes? Or is it just one of those locks with no real reason behind it?
>>21905478No reason, it's the standard lock the true end behind every other girl deal.I'll say it again, Chie's is good, but Sarina's is perfectly skippable.
