How do i escape the potential hell?
Did the newest E+C un-disable thirst mechanics or something? I wouldn't mind if not for the fact that all my pets are dehydrating and magaqua isn't keeping them from getting thirsty.
>>21490786E+C never disabled thirst.E+CG does. There is no Tweak on either to enable or disable it. It's all or nothing.
>>21490758For primary attributes? In E+, by getting money and investing that money into countless magic shops, hoping for potential potions, then blessing those. Also by collecting materials from every relevant resource location to make more potential potions with alchemy, eventually. In OO, with god blessed food and buns. For skills? You're never really over it.But it becomes a lot easier once you have skills built up to the point where you can easily do all local jobs in towns. Also once you get into high end dungeons and get greatly rewarded with platinum and decently rewarded with small metals. You occasionally get lucky with growth scrolls too, or buy them with small metals maybe after you're done with speed for the time being. In E+ you can bless those to raise all skill potentials by a little bit.I wouldn't really call it hell though. Platinum/potential is one of the things that well balances the grind and makes it quite fun. Since you control the speed at which you progress. If you want to gain faster in one skill and forsake the rest, you can do that. If you want to spread it evenly between a few, you can do that.
Debating which character nerfing god gift to get next.I only have Tempest Collar because I happened to be following Lulwy at the time. And was godless for years before that.Fetter of Earth was the plan, to slow down speed and travelling when I want to pass the date quickly. But since I can just tag with a level 1 monster to nuke speed and unequip SLB to be fairly default that doesn't seem as useful.Green God Thorn seems pretty useful for healing/meditation, particularly while doing something non-dangerous like spamming books or partytime or something. And Wheel of Fortune seems useful for training up Control Magic, which I have an awful level in. But I rarely use pets. And I'd also probably want to nuke casting with Magic Canceller anyway, which would take another year.Mechanical Binder and Sasumata seem pretty useless with Knockout being a thing.
Why won't sandbagging work?I'm using Custom-G and do have the option turned on. In a dungeon, not my house.Once a mob has been sandbagged it just won't give any xp at all even after release. Which is how I think it works normally, but the option doesn't seem to be changing that at all.I wanted to try and start training Martial Arts a little. At least to 100 for Clear Mind.
>>21491118Here is the question anon. Do you want to carry around AND make sure your slow monster does not die?
>>21491239That's a good point. I rarely ever want to just pass the date without doing anything though; grinding is too fun. And it's usually just on the world map.
>>21491233If it doesn't give xp even when released, then the xp you get might just be really low for that monster in particular. The xp chart here should help:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1p3S16qPZFSdZdQoVF8hjsZf7ovS6H-cpjmSaH2qZn6I/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=0If you only get say, 5xp, then it might be rounded down to zero. I'd try dodgy enemies like bats and asuras.

>>21491499You can choose an easier difficulty at any time without resetting, just head east of north tyris' southern border. Warning, it's a one-way street. No going back.
>>21491499You're going to take it eajy? Good jp.
>>21491499Go past level 200 in the void and you'll gain a level per minute.
>>21491770Is there any reason to a[void] the void?I remember reading something about every level only spawning monsters once, that after that it's nothing. And that it would be better to leave that for later grinding if you miss uniques' figure/cards?Is there any way to reset the void? That would make that first point point fairly moot I guess, if it's true in the first place. How much grind does it skip? Like just character levels? Or attribute/skills too? Does it give platinum at all?I'm already almost definitely overlevelled and overprepared for the story, and never actually went to the void.
Someone has some working graphics pack for 1.89? I don't have a image editor in this PC and I don't want to do this in fucking paint
>>21491820The bosses only spawn once 'till they're defeated, but everything else re-spawns puppy's cave style.Beating the bosses is exactly like beating a normal dungeon of the same level, loot chest, plat, sometimes small medals, etc.You gain generic xp in plus based on the level of enemy defeated compared to yours, so if they're too low level you'll get a fraction of the xp of normal, but if they're high level you can gain several levels per floor.
>>21491838It's on the discord, but beautify has been ported to 1.89.
>>21491838>'till they're defeatedLike, they'll spawn again once defeated? So you can go through floors endlessly, then restart at an earlier floor when it gets difficult and go through them again while still getting bosses?Seems great regardless.
>>21491871No, they spawn once, and stay there until they are defeated, then they're gone. So if you roll a gwen the innocent, you're stuck with her as the boss even if you reroll the floor.
>>21491905Oh okay, coolio.Seems that, in Custom-G, the void can be reset at Oblivion Palace anyway.

>>21491820>Is there any reason to a[void] the void? Not really, no. I recommend going there as soon as you're strong enough to survive the first floor. There's a random boss every 5 floors, but since the void essentially never ends, there's no danger of running out. Getting unique figurines in the void is silly anyway, just get them when you first kill the unique.>>21492671Just come back after passing some time and you'll get a different boss.

>>21494349Gwen only drops me her corpse...
>>21494314When you do human transmutation 5 times you get a skill that let's you remove specific parts. Use a splitting enemy like a bubble, and sandbag it. You'll have infinite chances to get the parts.
>>21490330Yeah, I still have no earthly idea how to make shades of the same color to make depth for sprites. When fixing the long coat I just grabbed colors that were already on the coat and slapped them about until it looked somewhat decent.I also tried to directly pull the sword colors from my OC to make it look more like the blade... but without shading it looked like a mangle lump of plastic. The shirt and pants stand out with a single color, but not as jarringly as most of the other stuff I tried to straight up recolor.
Am I missing something or does itemization basically stall out after act 1? You eventually accumulate enough precious items to invalidate any miracle gear and godly/living stuff is insanely rare.
>>21495927It picks back up after unlocking artifact fusion, but uniques do have some nice enchants, so you'll likely still have a few even after fusing your own.
>>21496024Also, randarts can be inherited, but fixedarts can't. You can create ubergear to give future characters (and their pets) swift passage through the early game.
Still in search of urine
>>21494433For the pre-shaded stuff (Like adding wrapping to the Sword), you could just select the pixels you want to change (Shift click with selection tools adds to the current selection rather than replacing it) and use the [Color] menu to shift colors. [Color-Balance] and [Hue-Saturation] work pretty well. For everything else you can either use the [Dodge / Burn Tool] to lighten and darken, or manually pick out some colors with more contrast and just wing it.You do have undo lists, layers, and a computer file system that allows a million different versions at once.So you can try a million different things, select what looks best, and either trash the rest or keep them for reference.
>>21496348Seems like I just need to look up GIMP tutorials because it seems like every time I can't figure out how to do something there is a ton of solutions I never thought/heard of.Thanks again for the advice.
Two quick questions.Do npcs you astral light pen keep their resistances? Or do they lose them once they are cloned? Also, why on earth do Putit Tanks not have the cArmor flag? They are driving tanks! Even Metal slugs get that bit...
>>21495927It stalls out once you get something decent for each slot. Mostly that's miracle, some godly.Usually less than half my equipment slots are precious items. But a couple like Gloves of Vesta and Shield Tonfa are pretty much a given for a long while.Living equipment isn't really insanely rare in + though. Just gather materials and stardust then equip make. After about 30-40 party time's worth you'll probably have at least one living weapon of the type of weapon you want. HOPEFULLY without negative attributes.
>>21496436As far as I know, no character specific resistances are kept, regardless of recruitment method.BUT cResEle is definitely kept. For now anyway. Ano犬 loves nerfing things so you never know. And I believe race specific resistances are kept, like fairy/lich?>why on earthAno犬
>>21496559Nah race specifics are removed too
>>21496024Talking about uniques, are the holy lance invokes exclusive to it or is it possible to get them on randarts?
>>21496597You can get the invokes on randoms. Almost every enchant can show up randomly, the exceptions being the rarity 100 enchants, like the blood rod or Stradivarius ones.https://elona.fandom.com/wiki/Equipment_attributes
>>21493039i killed him but wiped out more than half my party. all the boss fights are always a fucking gamble for me.>tank most damage>hope for 100% gauge>provoke>unison attack for 1 shotare unison attacks supposed to deal fuckloads of damage?
Does a tonfa in the shoot slot cause the dual wield bug?
>>21496439Scaling gets really weird when you go into high stat totals as well. The flat damage from strength starts to outweigh weapon dice many times over, and dex/evasion/armor skill starts to outweigh actual armor PV/DV. Everything about equipment transitions from high stats to having the multiplicative attributes.
>>21497742>The flat damage from strength starts to outweigh weapon dice many times overso this is why guns arent good for late game?
>have shack with a bunch of stairs>finally get around to buying palace>same stairs in palace all lead to shack floorsHow do I fix this?
>>21497986Nope. The reason guns weren't good is they didn't have a second multiplier like 2hand, you couldn't use more than one like dual wield, they had weird range based damage (lasers ignored this), and didn't have much pierce. Fixity anchor helps this a lot by simulating 2hand, but you're still stuck with lasers because of range weirdness, and they have a pierce of 5%. Special ammo works wonders, but you have a limited supply of it.
>>21498090Nevermind, reinitialization works. Also holy fuck the palace is almost obnoxiously large.
which are the tankiest monsters? i need some tanks to draw attention and debuffs from me, stuff that is naturally very resilient so i dont have to do autism to stat them up besides giving them good gear
>broke>invest magic vendors to 200 for a chance to buy one pot of potential every 2 days>woke>dungeon diving and blessed scrolls of gains to make them yourselfi literally cannot raise stats fast enough to run out of them
>>21498665I don't know if cramming an endless train of corpses and bread down something's throat while it wears "can eat rotten food" and "eat from inventory" is toggled on counts as autism to you, but fire dragon child has an impressive life stat.Gene engineer it a few times, and capture something highlevel to boost its levels, and you got something fairly durable.Another choice pet is karata the mascot, but I haven't actually tried him. His insane bitflags probably make him one of the tankiest lads around though. If not, necromancy can put up some decent tanks with little effort or investment.
>>21498665Offhand I'd say it's a choice between Fire Dragon Child and Harpy. The dragon has metric tons of HP and gets the excellent Boost special action through evolution. Harpies are fairly unimpressive normally, but they get Super Regen through evolution, which is the perfect special action for a tank.Probably one of the main deciding factors for you will be their innate equipment slots.https://elona.fandom.com/wiki/Dragonhttps://elona.fandom.com/wiki/HarpyIf you've already cleared the first chapter, the customizability of dragons is appealing; no slots wasted on hands if you want it to go martial arts, room for many hands if you want a Cuisinart dragon. If you're still in the first chapter and you want your tank to be able to equip weapons, dragons are out.
>>21498807You can just use gene engineering in the first act to at least give a dragon normal slots. It isn't like there are no options.
>>21499011the thing is that if he wants pure tanks (weapons dont matter) and the monster has hands slot natively that's 2 wasted slots, if it doesnt then you can add 2 more bodies for 2 more armors without getting the complex body speed penalty (not that matters too much if the pet just needs to soak damage)
Speaking of monster recommendations, what are some fun choices for a MA pet?Doesn't have to be the best, since pretty much anything can be good with enough grind. I'd just like something that is unique in some way (the way you get it, or it's bitflags/special acts) or something that would just look hilarious punching dragons in the teeth.
>>21496559Well that's a bummer. And as far as the Putit Tank of I could speak a lick of Japanese and knew how to contact him I'd ask him to add the cArmor bit myself. Nothing would likely come of it, but at least I'd have done something.
>>21498665Any bell. Give them rubynus equipment and they're nearly invincible.
>>21499467If you're going for a bell tank, get platina bell. The innate magic resistance will help it shrug off those debuffs.
does a living weapon get exp even when its not used for killing blows?
Hey, I got my first living weapon, how good is this?
>>21500028>Extra melee attack>Extra critsLooks pretty great desu
>>21500028Ok I really don't know what I'm doing and the wiki seem to be outdated, how do the level up work in this version and what is the best way of do it? Please tell me is not that month rotation bullshit
>>21500070Extra melee attack is the nunchaku inherent bonus. The critrate is definitely good, though. It'd work quite well as a longterm main weapon. Get it to +15, load it with magic damage, and eventually Equip Update it to a shakujo for the extra pierce% (with minimal loss in base damage) and then use a craft repair kit to max its dice out.
>>21500098>how do the level up work in this versiontaisei = inv(INV_ITEM_DICE2, ci) + inv(INV_ITEM_LEVEL, ci) + gdata(GDATA_MONTH)
>>21500028Is it just me or are some of the new weapons quite rare? I've seen only one Chainsaw, one Shakujo, one Nunchaku, and one scissors in the process of beating South Tyris. Is it because most enemies don't wield them?Chainsaws and nunchaku seem pretty good, I might actually have a reason to train not longswords now.
>>21500511Until I actually know how dex/con based weapons actually work with stats, I'm sticking to strength based weapons.
>>21500554This ain't Phantom Brave or Makai Kingdom, the skill's associated stat just tells you which stat goes up when you train that skill. There aren't "CON weapons" or "CHA weapons" or "SPD weapons" or whatever.
>>21500593So staves train constitution, but only scale with strength/tactics/stave/2h/dual wield?Isn't that odd?
>>21500662They train it because the skill trains that attribute
You can summon gods endless times in the same save file, right? No one kill and gone deal?
>>21499032Just give them shields, even ignoring the % pv boost, shields have some of the best defensive enchants you can get, damage null, damage decrease, cut attacker, and reflect magic.
>>21500662Technically all melee weapons train STR because of tactics, some just train other stats in exchange for less STR.Also anyone know a convenient way to script my pet so what it will cast Uncontrol for the buff but I won't ever have to worry about it killing me with Uncontrol(swarm)?

>>21501093Thanks, didn't think to check under buffs rather than status. As a side note, it seems that Run Wildly makes ANY swarm friendly fire, not just the Run Wildly version.
>Want my melee pets to be more efficient>Can make pets ride eachother>The pet that gets rided ''disappears'' so i get less cute girls on the screen
>>21501744Just tag them together. They still work together, but no vanishing cute girls and no riding penalties... or bonuses I suppose.
>>21501811Can you do that on OOMSEST?
What is the size of an individual 'square' for a sprite on the monster sprite sheet thing?
>>2150200048x48, same as the square size for the field. You could easily find that from just using the selection tool in practically any image editor. Or even from counting tiles displayed, whether it's in the sheet or in game, and doing some arithmetic. From REALLY old images, it wasn't always 48. But I'm really glad for that change.
>>21502058Before that it was even smaller. With badly scaled assets all over rather than just every now and then. And a pretty awful interface comparatively.
>>21502058>>21502071I am not a smart man by any stretch of the imagination. And to be frank I have no idea how I would use a selection tool to do that since it seems I would easily overshoot the squares.I did realize I had some loose sprites from the updated beautify that I checked the properties of as soon as I posted that.
Does savescumming living weapons with scrolls of name not work in G+?
>>21502172You just select and read the size, which is in a different place depending on the editor. There's plain marked squares to select and make sure you don't overshoot, but you can estimate from others too.Or count the squares wide and divide total width by that. Same with height.
>>21502186https://elona.fandom.com/wiki/Living_weapon#1.67_and_Later1.67+ removes the random aspect of it. To change the set of options for the level, you either wait for the month to pass, or strengthen it with scrolls or at an equipment shop.If the attribute you want is further back on the rotation, and the item is not acidproof, you could degrade its strength instead; faster than passing months or strengthening it all the way around again.
>>21502196Huh. That is much simpler than I thought it could be. Thanks man
New to this, though I've played a lot of similar games, I made a character using advice from the pastebin and wiki beginner's guide, but managed to get the ether disease because of being dumb and not looking at the date when traveling, and then wasn't able to win a potion of cure corruption before my chips were used up, and I wasn't strong enough to get more in a dungeon really, so I've deleted that character.Anyway, are there any suggestions people might have that aren't in the pastebin or wiki guide? I feel I've got the hang of the basic game now but I felt it couldn't hurt to ask.
>>21502290You should pick up a god at the truce grounds asap if only to start receiving faith dreams. You can easily change later.Assuming elona+, you should grab a pot for fusion because almost anything it churns out has abnormal money values for a starting character (like putitoros, cheese and hamburgers). As for tips for you specifically, you should invest in the magic shop (in jumps of 50x because its cheaper) until you hit at least level 150+, because cure corruptions and potion of potentials become available. Having more books and more chances to learn the return spell should also trivialize etherwind. Also, don't waste too much time in the puppy cave. It has no material spots, no big daddies, and no boss level, which means no plat rewards and return/escape scrolls.Even if you feel a lack of progress, all the materials you gathered can be a real gamechanger with how much money they bring in.
>>21502290learn all skills first and join a religion fast for a good ally also gene engineer skills to your pet to be more useful.
>>21502331every skill? is that not a bit overkill?
>>21502481He's following the wrong deity.
>>21502429Most rogue-likes are boss stabbing simulators, but elona is more of a fantasy life simulator. You don't need every skill to stab Zeome, but you'll be missing out on a lot of stuff.
>>21502493Looking at the wiki there are less than I thought, should I really learn them all before doing any dungeon though? (to me that anon is implying that). I guess it wouldn't be too hard to get them all just doing the simple quests in towns and going to trainers.
>>21498707Really? I just went through a hundred blessed gain material scrolls and only got one Angel's Tear and not a single Sap of Yggdrasil. Getting either from them is pretty rare compared to gathering points in dungeons.I usually make half from gathering points, and buy half from shops, and barely keep up with my gains. But I only pot just before eating herb in herbs, and only if there's at least one stat below great or two stats below superb. Also, it's not just one chance at one potential pot every two days. You usually go with several shops. Preferably several in your house alone, plus at least one town.
>>21502564>should I really learn them all before doing any dungeon though? No. It should just be one of your first goals. You can dungeon crawl to achieve that, or do town jobs. Or even farm/fish/cook/etc for money and spam shops for gain attribute scrolls to either bless or saveskip. Preferably a balanced combination of everything you find enjoyable to make the initial grind feel less grindy.
>>21502429you dont need to train it, it will slowly progress while traveling. im actually glad i learned the skills early so i dont have to rush too much on leveling it especially on crafting

>finally get a god heart for the first time>don't actually use any pets that can evolve from itHow underwhelming.
>>21502290I really wouldn't delete a character over etherwind. Some of them can be annoying, but they're not really deadly.Even if you stack ALL ether disease, you only really just die. Assuming you're playing normal difficulty, that just means losing some items and money you have on you at the time; probably nothing too valuable. Some can be helpful early on too. Like legs into hooves for speed boost at the cost of lacking boots. Before getting seven league boots that's pretty nifty. Or clouds of rain could be helpful for early gardening.
Haha, in OO you can catch Anxiety. You can also take addiction Feats at character creation or some levelups. That's funny.Nice that Cure Corruption works to fix it.But can you ever actually remove Feats though? Or reset them all? In any version of Elona.
>>21502679It was teleporting randomly, not too bad but I figured it could fuck me over eventually, I made some other mistakes too and wasn't very far along at all either, regardless it's too late now.
>>21502694Yes, oomsest has a command to reset feats, you can use it even without enabling wizard mode, type help in the f12 console for more infos.I'm not sure if this works on the penalty feats, however.
I can't quite kill inner gods yet.Should I bother killing the regular gods? Do the inner gods EVER despawn or deaggro? I wandered around for a week in the snow to test and Insane Kumiromi is still there.I'm thinking I'll just load the backup save beforehand, from right after ALPing him, and come back later.
>>21502921Named NPCs don't despawn, you should be able to ask them to leave through the interact command.
>accidentally killed socks girl>didn't realize she was optional until I'm at the bottom of the cradleI don't want to undo 2 hours of gameplay to save a roran even if she's a cutie and a major badass.
Is there any downside to using this option?I assume you just change 0 to 1 in the related item's line. That seems to turn the name blue and add "* " before it.Is there any way to make such items sparkle like lights or gems? Or auto-pickup upon walking over them.
>>21502694You can wish for featreset to get rid of all of your feats and refund your feat points. It does include class feats, but does not include negative feats. To my knowledge there's no way to remove negative feats without cheating.
>>21502645Definitely take the exorcist and hypnotism feats as two of your initial three. If you get ether disease, you can get a potion of cure corruption from the king for starting the main quest. Only play blackjack on lucky days unless you're really, really desperate.>>21502429Learning every skill is a good idea in plus but in vanilla and other variants it's better not to learn skills that you don't plan to use. Whenever something adds potential to multiple skills, plus scales it up so you're never penalized for knowing lots of skills. Vanilla and most other variants give a flat amount of potential, which means each individual skill gets less as you learn more.As an example, a blessed scroll of growth in plus adds a small amount of potential to every skill. In vanilla it adds potential to two skills. The more skills you know, the lower the odds that it'll go for your most important skills. It isn't a huge problem but it's worth considering. I wouldn't pick up traveling in vanilla or oomsest, for example.

>>21503783I guess technically since I use rods from time to time, though that is magic device.Never used actual spell stock spells though. I can't stand the system, and for rp reasons I don't use the mages guild so I can't reliably stock spell books even if I did.
>>21503804Newer versions of plus added female defenders.>>21503774Kinda, the reason he did it was because he kept getting hexed with silence for 5000+ turns, since he didn't grind holy veil. He apparently thought his magic resist would be enough against capped hexes. It was not.
>>21503804>Male only pet >meh treasure>Artifact weapon only has value as a healing stick>Skill boosts are for the most part mehHow the fuck does she get zealots? Do they dress the defenders in pretty dresses?
>>21503800How so? The godslayer title?Godslaying is a pretty standard goal, not too crazy but still certainly a sign of progress/success.Like, it's quite commonly known you can eventually kill the gods. Such a term doesn't call for reverence at all.Pretty sure it's a normal title for reaching that goal in the omake forks as well.Even not knowing the dude, I'd take that as a simple reference to someone who happens to know what he's doing to some degree. Not even a call to authority on the matter, just a reference.
>>21503825New versions added a female defender. And her special act is an emergency heal. She isn't great but depending on what you want she isn't shit either.
>>21503816Attack spells are a trap. They are probably the worst form of offense in the game almost the entire game. Support/Leader rider mage AKA cleric however is godly and the best part is no attack spell training.
>>21503816You could incognito into the mage's guild, even if you're in another. In plus, the guild leader sees through it, but the rest of the NPCs are peaceful doing that. You'll also eventually get another book reserving shop in act3.But as long as you use scrolls, potions, and rods you're probably not castrating yourself too hard. Might be a pain in the ass to heal due to healing potions not being the most common things in the world.
>>21503816Dunno with the books i find on dungeons i have more than enough
>>21503831But i play oomsest
>>21503840Wait, you can incognito to see the spell scribe? I want a membership refund damn it.
>>21503147Magic is the reliable, low effort option, lightning is the high effort alternative, don't bother with anything else.
>>21503840Personally, I think the Act 3 book shop is easier to get to than the mage's guild shop, unless you build your house right next to Lumiest. You'll even pass by a few food shops while warping across continents; might luck out and get an herb seed or something.Of course, it costs two or three times as much or whatever, but at that point you'll have way too much money to care.
>>21503826Fair enough. It jounded so weird in that particular phrasing when I first read it, but that might just be my sleep deprived mind making me an asshole.>>21503807All you need to know is that for the time he was in the threads he basically lived grinding, and since he had slayed the gods before he decided to challenge himself by doing it all again, plus reach the level of the void where monster scaling caps, on loss mode.I guess I could see you thinking he was an npc though. Another anon made challenge levels using the showroom for him, with plot that centered around people trying to kill him for killing all the gods and making Yacatect run his store.Even faked cutscenes for them and posted in thread. Pic related. >>21503840>>21503843I just mentioned the guild as an extra point. I just really don't like the spell stock system. Power to people that do though.
>>21503834>Attack spells are a trap.In vanilla. Everyone's playing plus and oomsest these days. Attack magic in plus picks up much faster than in vanilla and keeps getting better and better. In oomsest it's kind of bad until you get spellmaking, then all magic becomes insanely good.
>>21503894what is wrong with the spell stock system?
>>21503825>Male only petEven so, defenders are mechanically the best of the god pets.>>21503848Then you can wish for a sex change for your defender.
>>21503907Wish for "sex" and then pick the NPC you want to change.>>21503903It's a completely pointless layer of tedium that magic users need to deal with constantly.
>>21503903Mechanically nothing really. I guess I just don't like managing them really. Been playing of and on for a while, and I'm more than happy having 3 rods with duplicane if I need elemental damage or prayer of jure/items for healing. Not counting my defender or fire fox brother pets of course.
>>21503913>It's a completely pointless layer of tedium that [...] users need to deal with constantly. So is platinum, and gold, and music tickets. Potion/scroll stocks from shops too.Really though, it serves a purpose as balance; to prevent spamming of crazy high spells constantly for all their various effects. And it's only tedious at first. Once you get some literacy, memorization, and spell levels, you can actually get a ton more stocks than you'll ever use.Well, unless you do nothing but hold down the spell's hotkey to spam train it, but that's basically the point.
>>21503894>faked cutscenesThose were faked? I just assumed the guy had done some kind of wizardry to inject cutscenes and quests into the map files.
I only visit the reserve book store/s once a month after getting set up.Don't even need to. I just like collecting Cure of Jure stocks and watching it go higher and higher.Kind of like fishing and cooking real quick whenever visiting my food shop. Long after the need for money dies down.
>>21503952>So is platinum, and gold, and music tickets. Potion/scroll stocks from shops too. All the more reason to not add any additional tedium (though I don't think gold deserves to be lumped together with the others). Spell stock doesn't even really limit your use of spells except the ones you can't reserve, and even then it does more to make them inconvenient than it does to balance them.
>>21503906I already have a young lady and pets with guts what makes the defender so good?
>>21504034It's an extra layer of guts for whoever dies first in your team. You can get away with playing much riskier with a defender and it gets better as you add more defenders to your team. They're also perfectly capable melee fighters with a nice healing spell, but lay hand is what makes them outstanding.
>>21504019Tedium is lovely though. I wouldn't still be playing if it wasn't for all the various tedious ways to progress constantly. And yeah, it makes spamming rare spells inconvenient. That's the point. That makes people not use them absolutely everywhere. Which is indeed a form of balance. It's just like buying any other items with gold. But also with skills to train for it.It's primarily just a limiter to make spells not 100% accessible right away due to all their effects, like all the de/buffs or status effects, or the strong plain damage of magic. You know, to make people think twice about whether they actually need to use them. While also making them gloriously easy to stock up on and use once you have decent levels. Because then you get far more stock per [r]ead and use less stocks anyway.Once you reach that point, like with any other tedious challenge in the game, it feels glorious. Like "Fuck yeah I'm awesome I can go forever without restocking now".
>>21504006I keep a single stack of books for each commonly-used spell in 4d storage and recharge them to stretch them out (they still explode every once in a while). If my recharge power drops below 5000, I'll juts start buying out all the rods in stores.
>>21504079I keep forgetting you can recharge books with rods. Because most books are so easy to get en masse normally, and the few you can't get en masse can't be recharged. But that's a pretty nifty idea, and probably quite useful for early game.
>>21504070>More defendersWhy would i ever get more defenders? If i bloat my pet slots with melee attackers the majority of them won't do shit

>>21503864>I want a membership refund damn it.In plus/act2 you can reset guild progress in Oblivion.Won't give anything required to get progress back, so it's not quite a refund, but it is a restart.I'd rather not have to incognito anyway, it's easier that way. None of the other 2 guilds are really worth visiting often anyway.

>>21504579(On another note why is a female defender so outlandish to ask about though?)
I'm about to play Elona+ Custom for the first time, should I go in blind or look stuff up?
Elona magic is weirdly unintuitive to train up.>spell level doesn't do anything if casting level is much higher and vice-versa>spells have associated stats but the vast majority don't scale off of said stat or any stat (IE magic) whatsoever>unclear interactions with shit like fury status and obscure damage boost mechanics like wetness and -resist hexes
>>21504600>Unclear interactions>Hexes tell you what they reduce>Wet is self explanatory
>>21504579If it's only a reasonable few changes in + annoy you, no matter how much they annoy you, you can remove or change them in the Custom source now and just recompile it.Any changes after a certain point (1.50ish?) can just be easily diff checked between the versions and straight up removed.>>21504587It's intuitive completion to existing content, filling in holes so to speak. That's not something to expect out of omake forks. They're more for extra flavor (Events, themes) and custom flare (Custom gods, personal cities, hitsplats, etc). The only intuitive completion they've done at all over Vanilla to my knowledge is making all gods summonable.
>>21504600You just cast, platinum the casting skill, and sleep. How is that unintuitive at all?>spell level doesn't do anything if casting level is much higher and vice-versaI see no problem with this. And you'll naturally get them reasonably evened out for the spells you use primarily anyway.>obscure damage boost mechanics like wetness and -resist hexeswat. How are those obscure at all? That's probably the very definition of intuitive.
Raising speed with AP at 777 speed costs 777AP.I wonder if that's intentional. Cool regardless.

anyone can help? i want my pet to cast eye of dimness whenever an enemy is 1 tile away but i never see her do that. if i have 2 commands that are both true will it go 50 - 50? or is there an order?
>>21505589>is there an order?https://elona.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:AnnaBannana/New_Features_in_Elona_Custom_1.51.4First, all tactical instructions are processed from the first slot down. The first instruction that evaluates to be true is the one that will be executed. If an instruction evaluates to false, or if the action in that instruction is the spell/ability the pet is attempting to learn and they fail to use it, then evaluation will proceed to the next instruction. If all instructions evaluate to false, the pet will skip their turn, and a message will be displayed.
>>21505589It's based on order. Pet will take the first possible action that evaluates true. With your set up, your pet will never cast Eye of Dimness. No matter the order, your list is also broken. Your pet would either cast EoD or move away from an enemy, whichever you put first.
>>21504600>>21504888Casting doesn't affect your spell power, it's used by NPCs so they don't have to track spell levels, and it's used in a few special actions and gauge releases (I think over ray and the magic device gauge relaease, for instance). But if you have lvl 1 magic dart and lvl 2000 casting, You'll use the lvl 1 when you cast it.
>>21458855Ah, I had found a similar lucky roll a short while back. Pretty sure this one is Great quality too.As a resist stick it served me really well until getting living weapons. Was acquired within an hour or so of starting back (1.87?) from an old save file (1.4x?).At level 30ish or something and terribad potentials all over, no investments in shops, no money. I had played that so horribly slowly. By golly, what a daunting waste of time that was. Still a better starting point than completely new file though, besides the 100+ hours on the game clock.
>>21505993That one has a suffix to explain the magic damage/resistance though. Not nearly as cool, mysterious, or lucky as that ring.
Are bows viable over guns in +cg, for pets in particular?I've been getting a lot of living bows, and it seems straightforward to just slap it on my black angel, but while I've seen people put a case for guns here, I've yet to see someone defend bows.Is it worth my black angel's time working a living bow, or should she just ignore it and use a laser gun?
>>21505745From the wiki:>In some circumstances, the PC may also use the Casting * 6 + 10 formula if it is higher than SpellLevel*10 + 50. Which gauge releases have a spell level?
>>21506517>Skull bowIf you are feeling lucky... Not sure why would bows be bad though
>>21507322The magic and magic device gauge releases. I tested the info on the wiki once a while back, casting really, really, does nothing for your spell power.
>>21507388Gross, what is even the point of casting at higher levels then? Just getting some extra wishes?
>>21507407In plus? Much past 50-70 casting is only good for wishes, yeah. Even then, you can get every spell except for harvest and wish to 100% even without having casting at all, with high enough spell level. In OO there are more difficult custom spells that need higher casting skill, you can also power through some of the casting penalties like heavy armor with enough casting/spell levels, and danalin for the custom spells.
>>21507453I guess I should consider it a blessing in disguise that I don't ever need to invest plat into casting skills since they're all bad.
>>21503087When you spare Lankata you'll find Alfred unconscious and won't talk if you talk to him. If you bash him awake and talk he'll be about to die, but Lankata arrives and uses that pile of medical supplies she's carrying to save him, then teleports them out to the shrine. Oh, also you find out she's his daughter. When you kill Lankata you automatically take a bell from her as a trophy or something (what the fuck protagonist) and then when you talk to Alfred he recognizes the sound of the bell and wakes up, realizes you having it means you've killed his daughter, and shortly thereafter dies.
>>21507746Also this has to be one of the single nicest sprites in the entire game.
>>21505651that was my plan, that pet has guns on both hands so she's supposed to kite them like an archer.i also noticed the pet focus firing the target and not changing to the nearest enemy is there a setting for that?
Got bored. Made a mishmash sprite sheet using all the sprite sheet using all the ones in the mods pastebin by picking which sprites I liked best for each npc. Probably will go through the loose packs now.Decided to share the current version. If anyone actually likes this abomination then I have it easily set up to update it in the future.
>>21505067The AP cost of raising your speed is always the current value of your speed stat.
>>21506517Anything is viable, but guns are better than bows. If nothing else, a living bow makes a fine stat stick for resistances or skill boosts. I would also recommend equip updating that skull bow to something with better accuracy.>>21507346>If you are feeling lucky... Not sure why would bows be bad thoughBecause ranged weapons are kinda bad in general, and laser pistols have better range modifiers than any bow does.
>>21507803Not that I know of, though I never looked into it. Don't like ranged pets much. I think your pet should switch targets if it gets aggro'd by something else, but take that with a grain of salt.
>>21508010just checked. the preserve target option changes targets when enabled
>>21507930Oh, duh. It's life that has the calculation and additional cost for armour/metal cBits. Sorry for the brainfart.
>>21507803>that pet has guns on both hands so she's supposed to kite them like an archer. In what version does that work?In Vanilla and plus having ranged weapons in the hand slot just treats them like blunt weapons. Seeing as you have Custom AI that's definitely the case. Ranged weapons have to be in the ranged slot for ranged attacks. In OO, at least, having them in the hand slot only works while either in melee range (functioning entirely as ranged weapons upon melee attack) or as dual wielding with other ranged weapons in the ranged slot (Bows aside).I don't think it works with more than 1 weapon in the hands slot, and I'm at least pretty sure it requires a weapon in the ranged slot to work at a distance at all.
Maybe Jure is the ideal god for bloodcasting?>gives Will, which increases both HP and MP that you can funnel into casting spells>Prayer of Jure lets you heal yourself using SP, to avoid taking unnecessary mana reaction shocks (Jure Cure is powerful but VERY expensive in terms of mana cost, and using heal spells to fuel mana reaction is counter-productive)>both healing and meditation boosts fuel more/bigger spellcasting>magic capacity boost is obviously synergistic>magic device for good measure>cooking/anatomy are effectively bonus stat growths for good measureWhat the goddess truly wants is for us to shed our blood in her name!
>>21508374i just equip my pet guns with chance for extra ranged attack like the griffon to both hands for the proc. at least i think it works because shes shooting more than 1 and i never really checked if she's attacking with melee i assume she doesn't because of the command range attack only
>>21508407Extra ranged attack definitely works off slot. It's a separate bonus of its own. Griffon's 2000 enchant for it is absolutely glorious for that chance. But the ranged attack itself is still based entirely off the ranged slot weapon. As for getting it on both hands, how do you do that again? Without making them turn to stardust.I think it had something to do with the Dojo or Discarded Ranches. Like [G]iving them single items then coming back with another to [G]ive as well? Before pulling them out.Because active pets' inventories count for the duplication check for sure.
>>21508672i only gave an example so theres no duplicates but its griffon and the ion chakram on both hands and a throwing knife for the ranged slot.
How well does "Speeds up travel progress" stack?Like say, multiple seven league boots with multiple boot limbs, for an absurdly undesirable example. Or garokked rings with seven league boots. Is it noticeable enough to bring switches when trying not to pass time? Or does the effect fall off past 500 enchantment?
>>21509025Stacks perfectly. Enjoy your fast.
>>21508404That sounds pretty neat maybe i could->Not an eleaO-oh...
>>21508374>In OO, at least, having them in the hand slot only works while either in melee range (functioning entirely as ranged weapons upon melee attack) or as dual wielding with other ranged weapons in the ranged slot (Bows aside)So i need to give my pet a weapon to use in the ranged slot so it can shoot at range? That explains so much.
Is browbeat a useful special action for a melee pet to have? Atrophy sounds like a fun status effect, but I'm not sure how useful it would be act 2 and beyond
>>21509738They'll definitely use ranged weapons in the hand slot, but only in melee distance or as a secondary weapon.Pistols and shotguns are specifically prioritised to the hand slots on NPCs in OO for that very reason; to make sure they move closer before attacking, since they have terrible distance multipliers.
>>21509612Sweet. Though I don't quite understand the exact equation in the code without looking into finding what each variable is, that's cool. And tested in game works great.Garokked aurora ring with slb together makes it so sometimes it takes 6 steps for an hour to pass on the map, at my speed.Whereas with just slb it would take only up to 4-5. And without it would be 3 at most.Very useful.
Does the potential of skills affect the XP gained in primary attributes?Like, say I cast magic with Casting potential at near 0%. Does that gain me Magic XP at a normal rate? Or is it relative to the Casting XP gained?
slave master sells dark eleas now? i sometimes doubt the wiki now
>>21510118The wiki was never updated much past the early levels, but the slave master scales pretty high now.>>21508672If you want another 2000 ranged attack chance, gemini also has it.
Basically, speed is increased by (the enchantment strength / 50 + 1) and overworld speed is increased by (the enchantment strength / 8)The important thing to note is it's a straight addition, without any limiting function.
>>21510199400 enchant only increases overworld speed by 50? It seems to help a lot more than that. That is true though, yeah, being straight with no limit really matters most.

There are probably others, that's just all I could think of off the top of my head.
Nice. If only I could equip update it into a blade rather than a bow.

Sadly, resetting the void in Custom-G does not reset the bosses, but rather only the deepest floor reached. Meaning it cuts the teleport back to floor 1 without giving other chances at bosses.Since scrolls of escape exist too, that's kind of pointless, I think.Oh well.

>>21511208I didn't need to know this.
>>21509720I'm pretty glad I chose Elea over Lich or Golem myself. Both QoL in the slower ether disease and defacto doubling of your magic capacity at any given time are sweet.
>>21511186Oh yeah, so someone who's really unlucky can get another try at Xabi's figurine or what have you. Sounds good. I'll change it for the next release so that GDATA_VOID_BOSS gets reset as well. (Assuming I can keep maintaining Custom-G. Things seem to be looking good so far, but I won't have anything concrete until Friday.)
>>21511357You're awesome.I neglected both Xabi and Orphe the chaos child. So that could be very useful.Kind of overpowered for boss loot with how fast the void is to run through without any overworld travel for time passing (Or danger at all in really low levels). Not actually play it for long though, since I'm still having a ton of fun with +CG.But the early game is SO ass with grinding out platinum hard just to unlock skills. Can I create a gene with +CG and have it work with oomSEST?With only giving items available in Vanilla, of course. Mostly just blessed gain attribute scrolls and stomafillia but maybe some equipment too.Or can I make a wizard mode file and make a gene for a file that's not wizard mode?Or do I have to mess around with EloSnack?
>>21514006No, but you can import a save from ooenhack, it adds a balance setting that can give x16 gains, and x1/16 to losses (like potential drops).
>>21513596is there time stop jewels in artifact fusion? pretty sure brutish swords have no time stop
>>21513950Yes, she used to be riding me but she became so strong so quickly the roles reversed, namely once Leold opened shop.>5 heads, 5 hands ,1 ring, 3 necks, 2 backs, 3 arms, 1 foot, 1 torso, shoot and ammoSo 23 in all, she can't even hold more than 20 items but it's okay because a lot of her slots are bad anyway and riding fixes the speed loss. My strategy for the run was I'd pick up a little sister, engineer her as many good slots as I could early on, then try to roll some extra ones on top of that with mutant levels and carry her around leveling heroism/speed/survivability buffs. It turned out to be absolutely bonkers because of a bunch of things I didn't even know about (haven't done much with pets or mutants before).>dirt cheap refilling potentials because of starting so weak>her pickpocket trained itself very high because she does all the killing, making her potentials self-refilling very early>crazy multi-wielder combat skill leveling never slows down as a result>extremely low ini, pets getting double AP, she gets like 1.5k AP if I clear an awakened dungeon of the appropriate level with her>seemingly faster stat/skill training at equivalent potentials in general for being a pet>riding is like de facto doubled speed because I can control positioning/cast spells while she slaughters stuff>cure of jure instantly fullheals us both if anything fails to kill one before the turn endsIt's such a comfy setup, I walk through dungeons looking for loot and she kills everything, I don't have to worry about her getting into stupid positions or accumulating damage, then we go back to town and she refills her potentials while I read the books I found. The only real training I do is holding down buff hotkeys when their potentials start getting high. She has 4m goddamn gold in her inventory from killing all of north/south tyris and lost irva for me. I just realized I can just go to ol-dran and have her wail on urcaguary while refilling her potentials forever. Pets are so fucking good.
>>21514212Very nice. What's her equipment look like?Have you added the 10 extra limbs from Gavela? If that's possible.Does she know weight lifting? I think that's needed to increase pet inventory space.I think fishing and one other skill are very useful at gathering materials for potions of potential as well.
>>21514186The time stop is from Diablo, I haven't found any good artifact fusion materials yet.As a bonus, here's Arasiel being instagibbed in one timestop.
>>21514231Pets never get more inventory space, weight lifting just let's them carry heavier things.
>>21514231A lot of it is pretty fillery honestly. Sunbraria helm is mostly just there because bloodsucking trains healing passively. The lightsaber does nearly nothing (very rare/low power nightmare invoke that I'm not even sure gets past enemy resists, I should just suck it up and pay the 3 million to make Dragonslayer lightweight). The plate mail has a bit of useful resist. The speed ring is only +12 but fills a status resist. Other page has twin edge, a generic miracle amulet that has +355 critical chance, and a miracle neckguard solely for blind resist. I've been neglecting gear heavily and most of it hasn't changed since north tyris.Without checking I'm almost certain I've engineered every skill onto her, she has 150 weight lifting but unfortunately pets only get 20 inventory slots no matter what, and equipment takes up slots.
>>21514266Though she's really overpowered enough as is, you could definitely enchant those up to +10, or +15 if you have enough stardust. At least the weapons. That would be up to +75 damage and +75% Hit, or +50 without stardust.
>>21514278I probably should, I just keep putting it off and/or forgetting about it. Half of it is I want to replace most of those anyway. Claymore and Diablos are sweet but I'd prefer to have stuff like Zantetsu, Dragonslayer, Moonlight, and The White Hawk over the others. Or just some nice godly/living sword.
>>21514311>I probably should, I just keep putting it off and/or forgetting about it.I know that feeling far too well, for almost everything in the game. It's too easy just to get locked into grind loops and keep at it for extended periods of time. But, well, even if you're going to get rid of them later, at least +6 is pretty cheap as heck right now at any equipment shop. It'd probably take less than a minute too.
>>21513752Thanks anon. >Fit it into whatever set you want. How do i do that?
>>21514325Copy, paste, align. Into interface.bmp
>>21514327Oh, it is that simple? Does it work like that for character.bmp too? The beautify set i use for oomsest has ehekatl looking like a bimbo slut and it ticks me off.
>>21514343Yeah, you can edit them all you want. Just make sure to back everything up before touching anything just in case, and save properly as BMP in paint after editing for guaranteed compatibility.
>>21514349Thanks anon for schooling this dum dum.
>>21514212not a fan of adding limbs but thats pretty nice, having 1000 speed at level 70+ is too fast
>>21514327errr just to confirm i do not have to cut the previous thing and putting it on top is enough? So far it looks like it works
>>21514573It's a solid 100% opaque image. Pasting and moving into place should replace what it's pasted over.
>>21509883I don't know about casting, but it's definitely normal rate for investing/chr. That one's incredibly easy to verify with a small amount of platinum and gold at practically any town.Casting should be the same, and not really worth platting at all past a certain point.
Is worshipping ehekatl viable? Luck apparently affects crits and greater evasion on top on getting better loot, the charisma bonus seems nice too.
is omake worth trying? how outdated is it compared to current elona?
>>21515588It's definitely worth trying.(Especially if you're the type to learn functions and code them into other versions; so that plus/Custom could get the few things that are great about omake branches. hitsplats pls)Whether or not any of them are actually worth playing instead of plus is questionable though. They're mostly just flare and flavor over vanilla. With some events, themes, and some extra functionality, but no extended story.Usually something people go to after getting bored or fed up with plus, for whatever reasons.Or for people who like Vanilla more than plus but completely ran out of entertainment value from that.Or for people that believe plus is too "easy", like less grindy, due to potential platinum changes and herb in herbs. It does have some nifty things though.Like hitsplats, adventurers grouping and appearing in dungeons, personal towns, dungeon themes, more information ([*] target info, numbered potentials, visible luck), blacksmithing (underwhelming), etc.Go for OO-ENhack or oomSEST if you do try them.
Just how much of act3 is properly translated?Even [enter]ing the Cradle of Chaos before talking to Sophia is awkward Engrish.Just curious. I'll still play through it regardless.
Would you fuck it?
>>21516366If you've hit the Engrish then its like that from then on. Still worth it to play though.
>>21516580It was just one line of optional text so far, when attempting to enter the main act3 dungeon before investigating it.I know it just sort of falls off at some point. Was just curious on when/where that is precisely. Like what floor or section of the story.Looking at the source text I think this would work better:>"ただならぬ気配を感じる。もう少しこのネフィアについて調べてから探索したほうがよいだろう。", "You sense an extraordinary presence. It seems it would be good to investigate this nefia a little more before exploring it."
>>21516580Do you get anything cool from post-cradle content or is it just some extra content to squeeze out before the postgame?
>>21517059You get a gem that let's you change the levels of nearby dungeons. Makes a lot of things much easier.
>>21517108Awaken gem is technically pre-cradle, as it can be gotten before ever walking the overworld of Lost Irva,.Unless you mean another one.On that note, can you have multiple awaken gems for multiple cooldowns? To use them more frequently.
>>21517123There's another one, Sophia gives it to you after the chaos child fight. Awaken just awaken's nefia. The other gem let's you change it's level, say cutting it in half or increasing it to 1.5x.
>>21517151Oh. Sounds sweet for managing which ones you can handle well and balancing those out, without lots of wandering and randomizing the continents.
>>21517151>>21517151Actually you don't need to fight the chaos child. All you need to do is beat Tez and she'll give it to you. Also wasn't there stuff after chaos child? Something about Loyter plot?
>>21517479Oh, right. Close enough. And, yeeessss there is technically more content in loyter's memories. It is very WIP at the moment. Not much to do except look at the new town, and maybe dominate your very own forgotten beast.
>>21515032>Luck apparently affects crits and greater evasionIf you are talking about E+ then I think that's false. As far as I can tell, the only effect luck has on combat is a small chance to hit.
>>21517582oomsest but doubt that matters. If what are you saying is true then it means the wiki outright lied to me and that luck is kinda lame. Sad.
>>21517704Interestingly, when the jp community found we had a different wiki entry for luck they tested some things, and found a few of them actually were true even in the omake branch. I can't quite remember which ones though.
>>21517704I'm gonna cheat myself a ton of luck in oomsest and see if I can spot a difference in my critical hits and greater evasion. I'll report back when I'm done.
>>21517745Really? This gives me some hope.>>21517752Thanks anon.
>>21517752Alright, I started a new level 1 character in oomsest and used cheat engine to give myself 2000 luck. I couldn't tell any difference in my dodging or critical hits, and I made sure the character knew the eye of mind and greater evasion skills. If there's an effect it's either subtle to the point of meaninglessness, or it requires a certain level in those skills or something like that. I couldn't tell any difference in accuracy either. Bats were still tough to hit.Item quality definitely seems to be affected. With 2000 luck, the majority of items in the puppy cave are great quality, and miracle quality items aren't uncommon. Item material doesn't seem to be affected, puppy cave items are still low quality materials like cloth and mica.Trying to increase my character's luck above 2000 causes it to reset back to 2000 and eating happy apples at 2000 does nothing. Equipment like the lucky dagger and the lucky feats can push luck above 2000.
>>21517898You could probably create a custom item with a 2,000,000,000 enchant luck value. Also, you might try things like cursed scrolls, and good/bad events/dreams.
>>21518154>You could probably create a custom item with a 2,000,000,000 enchant luck value.Probably could, but 2000 is already more luck than a real character is going to have. Anything that doesn't show results by that point isn't worth caring about.
>>21518207I'm hopping to get a blacksmith hammer that'll let me get a lot more than 2k attributes. But, yeah, I think most luck rolls cap out at 5k, so you should see the effects by 2k.
>>21513781Ok. I am fine with how this turned out.Now I will stop spamming you anons with something you didn't want or ask for.
>>21518514Good job. Have you considered putting it on a dropbox or something? Someone might want it.
>>21517898Have you tried rising eye of mind and greater evasion a bit? maybe it is some weird percentual bonus or something
>>21519248Sure, I'll throw it up somewhere.
>>21490519GUYS I HAD ITI had a fucking dream that I was playing a game like Elona+ and somehow like god damned Dominions 5 and Rimworld AND HOLY FUCK THERE WERE GODS AND YOU COULD GRIND TO BECOME A LITERAL GOD NOT JUST RPING IT BUT FUCK FUCK IT WAS SO MUCH LIKE ELONA I GOTTA GO TELL AGDG THEN READ MY BOOKS ON C I'LL BE BACK ON DECEMBER 17 2019 11:45 PM
>mfw i find out preaching works for party time quests
>>21519758Godspeed anon.If I don't hear from you again at exactly that day and time I'll be very disappointed.
>>21519758I would personally rather Elona be Elona than some army strategy game or Not!DF. But whatever. It's not like you'll actually do much of anything anyway.
How do I even start with Godslaying with pet? I wanted to do a pet only run with me being a healslut throwing potions like it's out of style.
>>21521106You train your pets
>>21521114My Valkyrie hits the soft limit in skill around 174 just through normal combat desu. I'm trying to be more efficient in raising her, rather than crafting potion of potential and stuff her with it, and raise a gem farm and stuff her with it too. So I should do more concert for speed potion? But my performer skill is only around 70 though
>>21521207Pets get a lot of money from pickpocketing on every mob they kill, and could pick up a bunch from the ground as well if you let them. That should cover potentials, really. As long as you remember to bring them back to town to train and do something in the town long enough for it.
>>21521114This but equip a fetter of the earth and set your pets on the sandbagged guy in the gambling hall. Rest out of sight of your pets while they beat the poor guy until you're starving then go upstairs and let your pets spend their cash on increasing their potential, rince and repeat.
>>21521911>equip a fetter of earthAnd/or tag a pet with SHIT speed. Like a hermit crab. That can knock your speed down to double, maybe even single digits. If you're just sandbagging there's no risk or effort in keeping it alive. And you should already have plenty room available while doing so because you'd normally keep some spaces free for little sisters which is unnecessary there; plus discarded ranch/es to store shitmobs afterward.
>>21521911>>21521933I thought plus wouldn't let you gain any experience against sandbagged enemies? Is that not true for pets? Is the one in the gambling hall an exception somehow?
>>21522280Well there is a tweak in custom g that you can turn on to allow sand bagged enemies to give exp
>>21518514>>21519248Updated the 1.89 version of this sheet further. Made a Vanilla Version because why not.Threw it on Mega because dropbox was being retarded for some ungodly reason. And now I named it the WhateverWorks sheet since I forgot there is a MishMash pack in the mods pastebin already.https://mega.nz/#F!9H4WhATA!dPnCNMhnvSTKqP8HuN2G3Q
>>21522809Neat>Vanilla tooExtra neat
>>21523076I THINK that means it works with the omake variants since I believe they just use the same spritesheet? If I am dead wrong with that someone correct me. I never touched Omake
>>21523111Yes it works for Omake that is why it is extra neat
Ok. Just making sure I wasn't wrong on that.If I was, I was going to take some time to figure out how to make an Omake variant version
>tfw you hit the AP speed training cap and the game suddenly becomes a massive grind wall again
>>21523201Retire the character and make a meme build.
