Anyone from /jp/ going to this years summer comiket? Thinking of going this year because I got time off.
don't think anyone here ever goes sorry
>>21458152I will. I went last winter too, I wasn't gonna go again until next winter but they're releasing the new WTC so I feel obliged to go.
I will, along with a few friends. I wonder how the day extension will play out.
>>21458152time for the /jp/ comiket meetup part two the electric boogaloo
Yeah I'll be going this year. Anyone have experience sitting in ZUN's line? Kinda want to buy Wily Beast.
It'll be my first time this year. Can an anon hold my hand?
>>21458152i'm going to japan in mid-November, so no comiket. Is there anything happening around that time?
It's going to be a somewhat different Comiket due to the construction work, with an additional day and tickets, right?4 days sounds nice, since one has more time to get all the stuff one wants. On the other hand, going there for 3 days is pretty tough already. Don't know what to think of it.
>>21465516Yes you will need a bracelet to get in
the first time this year, I can only make it for a single day unfortunately
>>21465516I think having it spread out a bit more is good, it'll make it easier to explore and will hopefully make it less busy. >>21467420Really? How will that work?
>>21468135I know you can buy the catalog and that will be your addmission for all 4 days or you can buy for single days at the center
>>21468911I didn't know about this. Kind of annoying since I won't be arriving in Japan until the late afternoon of the day before so I won't have time to buy the catalog
>>21468916You can preorder it online I think
>>21468920Yeah but I'd still need to get my hands on it somehow
Going for Fall Reitaisai instead to avoid heat death and not having to line up for 4 days instead of 3 since Comiket has less space due to renovations
I've went to the last two, and I plan to keep going. Japan trips give me something to look forward in life.
If u really decide to go, u will have to book the hotel and flight tickets ASAP.If fr US, EU and around need to pay attention to the time difference and the date bc flight time is very long.I can answer 1st timer Qs including directions fr airport to hotel, and directions fr hotel to BIGSITE and more, but the foreign language guide on the official site has not been updated in detail for "C96".https://www.comiket.co.jp/info-a/TAFO/C95TAFO/cmkfor.htmlFacts that the session is extended fr 3 Days to 4 Days, required wristbands and big construction for Tokyo Olympic 2020 is a true story.Only required wristband has been officially announced that the venue can be purchased on the day, but details of the price and how to buy have not been released yet.https://www.comiket.co.jp/info-a/C95/in2019/in2019.htmlIf u do not understand COMIKE system, u have to study only the "GENRE code" right now,https://www.comiket.co.jp/info-c/C96/C96genre.htmlbc if u go on the 2nd day even if u are male and not fag, u have to keep up with the cold look of women looking for BL books. If u buy a paid official CATALOG, the names and locations of each circle are listed in detail. It is also a DVD-ROM and WEB version(maintenance now) but no EN version.https://webcatalog.circle.ms/This is C94 = 2018 summer.https://www.pixiv.net/fanbox/creator/16593293/post/72956The time that before open day, not only one hall. https://twitter.com/hachiman_cian/status/500997902445977600
>>21473141Thanks for this. It really means a lot. I'm planning to go for the first time this summer to see a couple of friends who are Doujin artists. I'm in the process of getting my passport right now (should get it by ~July but I'm going to book as soon I file for it). I plan to be in Japan for a week and only attend for the Touhou Day (day 4) since that is my primary interest. Anyway, what time do you suggest I head out to comiket? I'm thinking of trying to buy the new Touhou game at ZUN's booth but that sounds super difficult. What are some hotels you recommend to stay at that are close by?Also, do you personally enjoy Comiket? How many times have you been there? Do you recommend it?
>>21473141Thanks for the resources anon!I really want to pick up Ciconia no Naku Koro ni and the new Touhou game but it sounds hard. I've been to comiket once before but I didn't try to get anything popular then.
>>21473192>>21473592I wanted to answer all the qs by tonight, but I will come back on the weekend. If this thread has been archived until my next post, I'll post as a new thread, no worry.I do not think to disappear in a few hours like /a/, though.---------------------------------------------------------僕は、君がピンチになったら自動的にまたここに来てしまう様になっているよ。只、今はちょっと準備に時間が掛るんだ。焦る必要はどこにも無いよ。by Boogiepop
Is there any reason why I should spend my shickles on traveling to nippon and buying stuff in the crowded comiket? Isnt it better to just download the stuff online when people upload them? The music and doujinshi but hassle free and free.
Is it true that most vendors would be friendlier towards gaijins than chinks? Can they even tell for that matter?>>21476390Most anons have friends you know? Even though I may be studying in Japan soon I don't feel like going alone.
>>21458152Why do I always picture these meet ups to be a mishmash of autistic SEA monkeys and honkeys?
>>21476390People like to own things physically. Sure in these days you can get all sorts of doujin stuff online and for free, but people still like to own physical copies of things. I'd like to for some stuff, but even then, I can buy things off Mandarake and not bother going to Comiket. So really personally why I'd like to go at least once is just for the experince I guess, not to mention that Comiket is far from the only reason I'd want to go to Japan, and would probably only be a few days out of a longer trip. Going to Japan only for Comiket would seem a bit silly to me.
>>21476390If you've ever visited Comiket you'd know that a vast majority of works will never be scanned, and even fewer will be translated to English. The event itself is a fun experience too that is worth it.
>>21476390I'm not even a big fan of buying the doujins. I have a few, but I prefer to find other kinds of miscellaneous goods. Last summer I found a flask and a saki cup. There's also all kinds of small key-chains and whatnot. Cosplay park is another attraction if your into that.Plus just going to japan for everything else it has to offer is an amazing experience that has changed my life.
>>21468916Im going to be getting into japan on Thursday as well. With the massive lines to enter comiket, trying to get money from each person to sell them a bracelet sounds insane
my mum is going to japan next week, what should I tell her to get me there?
>>21476390If you're ONLY going to Japan for comiket you're wasting time and money. Go to Japan if you never been there and for Comiket. Pick a day you want to go to Comiket, say for Touhou shit. Touhou has its own day for Comiket. So plan a week trip, and you'll have 1 guaranteed day to spend at comiket, while the rest is for whatever you want. I'm going to see friends and to see Japan since I've never been.
>>21476690So do you have to buy a bracelet AT comiket or can you get it before hand? I'd imagine getting it during Comiket would be fucking hell on earth and retarded, but who knows.
The catalog has been posted today?
>>21476441Because they secretly seem like fun to you but you're too shy to go so you justify not going by thinking "oh well they're shit anyways"
>>21476690Yeah I have no idea how they're gonna make this work, I think I'll just ask a friend to pick up a catalog for me before I arrive
>>21477491already got plenty though
Is it possible to take photo with Ryukishi?
Says the catalog can be shipped through the mail
Drop in most circles this time around
>>21479413you can just buy it at like any comic store lol, not like it will sell out or be hard to find, this isn't reitaisai
>>21482428What's the second to the bottom one say?
>>21482544If I arrive the day before its just best to go by and and buy it?
>>21482609i mean it's going to be cheaper than getting it mailed. Or just ask a friend to pick up an extra copy who lives in japan
>>21482625Ill just go the day before to buy a bracelet since I have no one that lives in Japan
>>21482544Im guessing they will be all over akiba.Maybe Ill try to find one after I make it to my hotel before getting drunk.
Every year these threads are filled with newfags. What's the deal do people go to comiket and then die or something.
>>21482848It does require a lot of walking and being around other human beings.
>>21482817Yeah super potato, animate, most any store selling dojinshi. I am in a discord with some /jp/'ers going met last december can't wait to get drunk, make sure someone gets home, then walk around as cirno in wherevertokyo again
How do you make friends in Japan? I'm dying to go but I have no friends and it would be fucking boring by myself.
Are those doujin about wild sex after parties real? It's the only reason I'd wanna go
>>21482946My first trip to japan I went alone, still a great time. Go into a noumihoudai and hang out with people, nipponese have almost always seemed very friendly with bakagaijin >>21482950I haven't found any.
looking at all these replies, is everyone here an english teacher or something?
>>21482946Go to the big saw after each day and get herded into a nomihoudai, it's the easiest way, but you have to deal with all the other newfags. Ignore all the people that say this is a normie meetup or /jp/ vs /a/, most of the usual faces don't give a fuck and have left this website a long time ago. You can also go to gaijin spots like mogra and make gaijin friends.
>>21482995You've got teachers, university students, annual tourists, US government workers, brogrammers and other specialists who are lucrative overseas, and actual Japanmans. It's more of a mixed bag than you'd think.
>>21482995I go because japan is cheap, I am also moving there. For me to go to japan for comiket it's only about 500-600 bucks out of LAX round trip.
>>21483112>Ignore all the people that say this is a normie meetupI have difficulty imagining the perspective of the folks who legitimately believe that. Or rather, I have difficulty determining what is not normie by their standards.
>>21483324>600 bucksThats crazy. I booked my flight months ago and it still cost me 1600 or so from the east coast
>>21482995understood what are u lookin for
>>21473141Is there any meaning behind genre code? Like, what's so special about it?It's quite strange to me that GBF doesn't have one even though it's popularAlso, we have to create account to browse the catalog?
Hey, so one of my Japanese friends who is a Doujinshi seller got me a circle ticket. What is a circle ticket exactly?
>>21484560You get in before everyone as if you were preparing to set up your booth. When the event starts you are already inside, thus you can start queueing for your precious limited things while everyone is just to entering the halls.Don't forget to at least help the circle that gave you the ticket.
>>21485754Yeah, for sure I'll help them. Only thing is do they want my help lmao. They're weirdly kind to me with all this free shit, it's strange. They even told me I can use the circle ticket to line up for ZUN's booth earlier than most people which is fucking nuts!
>>21487083The CT is a ticket for preparing the booth in the hall.Certainly u can enter earlier than general participants, and no need to enter at the same time as other circle members, but those(extra CT holders) who are not involved in setting up a boothor carrying in luggage are bothered by the official staff as bothersome, just no penalty, though. And explained already in the above some replies,fr this C96 on it is a condition for admission to attach a wristband. This is the same for circle participants, but they have not yet made a detailed announcement. When the details are officially announced, ur friend will also tell u about the wristband.Wristbands will be distributed free of charge to circle participants no worry, but it will be more problematic u can receive this wristband before entering or not.Ill explain a bit more about wristbands in reply to above Qs, so pls check them there.I plan to post it separately in turn fr now on, but this matter will be delayed. If the friend who gave u a CT can read Japanese,it may be faster to translate this announcement by ur friend.https://www.comiket.co.jp/info-a/C95/in2019/in2019.html
>>21483324What are you moving there for
>>21483792GC is one of the items required to apply for Circle participants. It should be understandable to u that this is to gather the same theme circle nearby.I'm not a gamer, so if GBF isn't wrong with "Granblue Fantasy",The number of GBF-themed circles does not extend to other large independent categories. It belongs to the "312 ゲーム（ネット・ソーシャル）Game (net social)" on the 1st day,and its name is also written in the supplement (sub page). In Japan, "GBF" is officially abbreviated as "グラブル Grabl(GuraBuru)", so it may only be difficult to find.https://www.comiket.co.jp/info-c/C96/C96genre.htmlhttps://www.comiket.co.jp/info-c/C96/C96SubGenre.htmlAnyway, the only thing that matters to the general participants is what genre is on which day.Info on the official CATALOG is convenient for knowing the booth position of a specific circle in advance. This may be a reply to other 1st timers as well as for u, also u can enter without buying it mentioned already.Since catalog sales income is a part of the event operating costs, its not an obligation to cooperate with them, however, it is a very valuable activity if you think of this event as a small donation to continue going forward. The reason (background) for the introduction of wristbands is not ur q, so won't write it here, though.
>>21482575Sub page mentioned. (Im not No.21482428)https://www.comiket.co.jp/info-c/C96/C96genre.htmlhttps://www.comiket.co.jp/info-c/C96/C96SubGenre.htmlThe simple answer is the total number of circles for MEN and applied as a genre other than the above. This time, it is decided on either the 3rd or 4th day.
Probably random but maybe good thread to ask:I once bought some Satoshi Urushihara doujins, the 'Nostalgic Heroine' series with the huge color posters + some other rare hentai stuff like the 'Fractal' magazine 1st issue and other doujins. My problem now is I have no idea where to sell them? Obviously I can't put them on eBay and I don't want huge hassles. Not even looking for maximum profit, but just an easy sale.
>>21473192It is lucky that TOUHOU is on the DAY 4 list, bc u can go to any of the previous 3 days to preview. However, before answer about buying items that u want, I'd like to give other basicsand divided it into some, bc the explanation became longer than I thought. The first basic is the kind of circles, famous big circles and corporate booths(企業ブース kigyo booth), their fans form long waiting linesand get in the way of other participants, so every booth arranged along the "wall",so these circles are called "壁サークル kabe circle, and especially "シャッター前(shutter mae) = in front of shutter" circles are largest.ZUN circle "上海アリス幻樂団 Shanhai Alice Gengakudan/Team Shanghai Alice " is one of them. Most participant and also official staff are calling "壁(kabe) = wall" or "壁サー kabe-cir" is usual as nick.On the other hand, the circle area of many long tables inside the hall on a small scale is called "島(shima) = island(s)",shorten of "島サークル shima circle", open below URL if still wondering. This is an easy to understand version of the C94 (東ホール higashi hall = east hall) 4 to 6 map I added in the previous reply.https://postimg.cc/D4qk0YwnRED indicates "kabe", inner BLUE indicates "shima", and katakana(カタカナ) + numbers indicate each circle location. It starts with the katakana "シ(shi)", but the meaning is the same as using the alphabet A-Z.Only "ハ(Ha) line" of shima circle "パpa, ピpi, プpu, ペpe, ポpo" is also used, just not enough block number. Other hall that use ひらがな(hiragana) instead of katakana, but this is not a big problem.https://fanbox.pixiv.net/images/post/72956/2BqFGFbn3Zn3zdiFnVwMpOsi.jpegThe numbers do not matter even if u read English, but it is difficult to make mistakes if u remember and say hiragana and katakana.http://japanese-lesson.com/characters/hiragana/index.htmlShutter mae and some big circles waiting lines are make outside the hall,https://postimg.cc/hQW46zGjmeans not wait at inside the hall building usual, but in this time hall location will change, no exact. So we need physical/mental strength to line up for a long time if reached there late.About how to spend into long line will explain again if someone want to know.つづく。
>>21473192When I tried to post a long sentence again, was suspected of spamming by the system. It may be difficult to read, but it will be split temporarily and posted. It may only be due to the limit on the number of characters that can be used.If there is no doubt about spam, consider combining them into one reply.------------------------------------------------Well, here is what u most want to know, but still not all, anyway, now checked again some info about ZUN such as official twitter and.Their tw said that the trial version distributed at the last event 例大祭(Reitai-sai) in GW is the largest congestion ever.https://twitter.com/korindo/status/1124877126161784832(完売/kanbai = sold out, Reitai-sai opened 10:30 am). Also this fan who was in line with Reitaisai, says, "Here is still half of the line, OMG",https://postimg.cc/KR0TNC3Hthis slope is about 100m, so waiting line was pretty long, over 1km(0.6mi) total, very yabai.
>>21490142They will have enough stocks for C96, but most kabe circles will be sold out before noon,so u'll have to arrive by the first train (arond 5:20 am) and wait until the open time 10:00 am.Last summer C94 ZUN, it was v16.5, not a complete new title sold out past 13:00,but C96 is a completely new it can be expected that many fans including u are expecting it, right?つづく。

>>21492414Can you describe your experience with a circle ticket. What did you do? What happened during your day at Comiket?
>>21488858Yes, GBF is Granblue Fantasy. So, to get their own GC, they must meet a certain requirements?Thank you for your explanation
>>21497538In reply to Touhou Q, explained the contents of the catalog (reading method), but didnt write some tips. The GC number and the number assigned to each booth are non-related and no regularity,I did not explain this in detail, so I might have misled it.Anyway, want u to check at the GC page again "ゲーム(ネット・ソーシャル)".https://www.comiket.co.jp/info-c/C96/C96genre.htmlLuckily, yesterday this site (un-official) was not all but only the hall layout map of 西3,4 uploaded.https://anime.information.jp/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/C96_Nishi34_0609.jpgThis simple map is for printing, and is for marking the circle location by urself, however, each circle name and booth numbers are not added, but many GBF circles will upload their booth info on twitter and usual, easy to find. The printing fee for Seven-Eleven (Convenience Store) is 20Y/map.https://www.printing.ne.jp/index_p.htmlWest Hall 3 is not as wide as the East Hall, which is not used this time,https://jyuden.com/wpfiles/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/20160811-0013.jpgThere is only one entrance arrow on this map, but an outside entrance also be used. But, fr this time West Hall 3 (4F) will be only the un-official means "real" Dojin circles,so bc the products of the official corporate booth will be the newly used "AOMI Exhibition Halls".So u need to be careful bc the place u go first is completely different, depending on what u want.If u have to go to "AOMI" halls first by train, the station u get off will be different, but a lot of staff for guidance immediately after leaving the ticket gate of the station, no worry.http://www.bigsight.jp/english/hotel/map/http://www.bigsight.jp/english/hotel/aomi/At last time C95(2018 Winter), there was no official corporate booth as "GBF", but the "郵便局 yubin-kyoku = Japan Post " booth sold official limited GBF products,https://www.4gamer.net/games/414/G041434/20181219143/but as the such info in that area has not been announced yet. Also I can not predict how long the queue will be cut off early in the morning waiting lines.Especially for the First day including GBF, there will be no surprises and unforeseen troubles will occur. In that sense, those who ask Touhou Qers are the 4th day, so they are completely different fr u.
>>21496362How would they ruin it?
>>21499345Not him, and I've unfortunately never been but, is it really that hard to imagine? Hell have a theoretical situation: A western journalist in town for the Olympics decides to go to Comiket to see what it's all about. They wander about and come across something they find disagreeable, probably loli, Instead of going moving on like a reasonable person, they make a big fit, possibly trying to get stuff banned or something even though they have nothing to do with Japan or otaku. I doubt they'd be successful if they did of course, but there's still no need for such a thing to happen in the first place. Also, yes I know most stuff at Comiket isn't H stuff, but it's there (and nice) and we don't need stupid westerners throwing a fit over it.
>>21499699People who say this always seem to think that comiket is some kind of well-kept secret. Hundreds of thousands of people go there twice a year, we really don't need to wonder about a western journalist finding out about our """secret""" club.
>>21500005I don't think that, but I still don't see how a western journalist going could do any good. Even if Comiket isn't some secret, which it's obviously not, most westerners who go, which I'm sure are a small percentage themselves, are probably otaku.
>>21500075I'm not saying I really want western journalists to cover comiket but this is absolutely nothing to worry about. Everyone knows about comiket and western journalists have covered it many times.
>>21500079I guess I should have said when I replied that I didn't think anything would be ruined really, just that the move seemed like I good thing for the reasons I stated.
https://www.japantimes.co.jp/culture/2018/12/06/general/british-museum-hold-largest-ever-manga-exhibition-outside-japan/#.XP6hp7kkqWgJapanese authors don't think about whether the theme is "taboo" or not.If it's inconvenient to sell abroad, the publisher will just come up with a change.
>>21499699>Also, yes I know most stuff at Comiket isn't H stuffAs someone who's been - There is a lot of H stuff. You'll see posters above stands with all sorts of lewd images just by aimlessly wondering around.
>>21483112>normiesuck my cock, filthy normalfag
This thread deserves bump.
>>21499699IIRC, the example they used last time to represent Japan's CP wasn't even H either
>>21500079>western journalists have covered it many times.that's really nothing compared to being covered during the olympics
>>21500079>Everyone knows about comiket and western journalists have covered it many times.I think >>21499699 is referring to a nightmare scenario where a Western journalistic piece acquires enough infamy from the hyperfocus of the Olympics to make the rounds in the larger social news circles, newspapers, TV, etc. You say "everyone" knows about Comiket, but do you include the man on the street as well? Your family? While I'm sure they'd never pay attention enough to actually remember the name (and they might end up calling it Comic Market, or confuse it with a Japanese Comic-Con), they'll have a vague idea that there are sick fucks in Japan who make porn for potential kiddie fiddlers to get off with. And for people with an actual ax to grind, they've just found their newest and greatest cause célèbre.
>>21508536I was imagining something of that sort yes. Also apparently Tokyo Big Sight is being used for the Olympics and will be closed between April and November, which I didn't realize, so that's also contributing. Hard to say if the move is just because of that or also because of gaijin. I wonder if stores in Akiba will put certain things in a backroom or something for the duration of the games, closing entirely would be madness of course.
>>21491582Think outside the box anon, Ｆｉｒｓｔ Ｔａｘｉ is the way to go.Just find three pals, sleep together on the same airbnb and use a taxi app at 2am.If done on day three you'll most likely land in the 4-X or 5-X lane, but it might be different this time around with four days. You can then gaijin smash and make room for one or two friends to sneak in when they come from the first train. This has been proven on the field and it'll cost you around 6 to 10 usd each depending on the distance.Recently someone even introduced the ｆｉｒｓｔ ｆｌｉｇｈｔ theory, anything is possible.
>>21497205Entered the halls at around 8:30 AM and then I just roamed around and hung out around the circle's table and had a bunch of people drop by and introduce themselves and give me free doujins and candy. There's actually already lines inside the halls as well so that was kind of surprising. I was expecting it to be just people setting up their tables but there were long ass lines of people just standing still. Nobody said anything to me when I roamed around though.
>>21509369>4-X or 5-X laneWhat does this mean?
>>21491235>>21491582Just get a hotel around Shinagawa, Oimachi or so and walk. Hell, there's a few cheap ones right next to Big Sight.
>>21508620Any half-assed journalist can find considerably worse shit than some loli rape doujins in a day of walking around Tokyo. Involving real, live, actual underage girls for example. Or if you want something with a bit more of a cash flow to hammer in the importance then the idol industry's got some serious stains on the couch. But sure, someone will just wander into the crowd at Comiket or in Akiba and spot some tentacle porn and the Everything Will Be Ruined Forever™, and that totally isn't some loser's persecution complex talking. No sir, not at all.

>>21513498Those pics long waiting line meansfor the trial version of the New title that will be released after two years.About two weeks later, anyone could DL the same online, but for fans, they wanted to play as early as possible, so their passion can not be ignored. It is the same for people who go to buy things that Comike can only get at the venue form a long line. It's one of summer's memories, even if 're invited by a friend and just experience life's first "real hell".U just don't understand the correct meaning, background, history and spirits of "dojin".>>21510496now, Hong Kong news seems to be the center of the topic, though
tl;dr Particularly dislike line-cutters>>21509369>You can then gaijin smash and make room for one or two friends to sneak in when they come from the first train. While I recognize that it is rather futile for me to get angry about this, I genuinely hope that most weebs are reserved enough not to do this. One of the things I've genuinely really, really appreciated in developed East Asian countries is that people will (usually) form a queue and stick to it. Even if the wait is hours and hours, this is (usually) respected. In the USA, once a line is large enough that people believe they will not be noticed by anyone with authority, people will readily have their friends let them in. It's rarely an issue of the added time, but rather the idea that your time and the time of your friends is worth more than everyone behind you. Pulling the gaijin smash makes it that more terrible, since it is a blatant violation of the "when in Rome, do as the Romans do" principle not for entirely selfish reasons. It's one of the few cultural tendencies of my countrymen that truly irks me whenever it occurs, and I will risk looking like a tool to refuse either an offer by my friends to cut, or to let my friends cut. It's one of the few hills I'll die on, mainly because I know from living in East Asia that it really, truly does not have to be that way.And yeah, some Japanese cut the line as well, but I'll be damned if it is comparable to Americans.
Going to try to go for the first time this year. I'm an exchange student living here (but not in Tokyo) and have been to smaller-scale conventions before, but never Comiket.Does anyone know the conventions for giving gifts or letters to creators? I sometimes have heard stories about artists getting gifts, fan letters, even cookies or cakes, etc. and if possible would like to do something like that for one of my favorite creators who's going to be there, but not sure if there's anything to know in advance about doing that.It would be awesome to get an autograph or something super fanboy like that, but I'm not sure if that's normal either. Does anyone know the custom for this kind of thing?
This is only kind of related, but Edelweiss's Sakuna is finally getting a release date sometime this Winter.
>>21508536Japan and the US just told the UN to fuck off, and since the US basically runs it, any attempt to thrust multinational law onto Japan is dead.

is there anything fun to do in japan other than buy doujishins, games, figurines and looking at the scenery or buildings?

>>21520150If u want to do something unrelated to ur nerdy otaku activity, it depends on budget, even if only in Tokyo, the content of this video is not enough.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8m7dnI2nrU8ShinOkubo is not worth going. If the meaning of "lookin at scenery and buildings" is not "聖地巡礼 seichi junrei", the scenery of Tokyo may lack freshness.https://anime-tourism.jp/r/Tokyo/The meaning of travel in Japan, including those outside Tokyo, is far greater than what u see and imagine in a world-map.https://thetruesize.com/But if u want to do things that arent otaku activity, I dont feel the value of talking much in this thread. Also, no idea that real Jp otaku will make friends with gaijin otaku as a chance to play at night. If among gaijin otaku comrades or someone of jp otaku group who can speak foreign lang, it may be easy to join together, however, 5 reasons why they do not want to be with u even after the end of event even in out of during this C96 period.- Lang barrier （NOT "otaku = コミュ障")- Basically, money for eating out, alcohols mainly at night is waste.- Summer Tokyo is humid and uncomfortable, d like to go home(hotel) and take a shower AEAP.- Gaijin otaku level is unknown, it seems may lacks fresh, even if u may be better than the jp "にわか niwaka = beginner" otaku.- Bc dont know surprisingly things other than otaku culture (tourism info, etc.),being unable to give a correct answer immediately becomes stress.I do not say that everyone is so, but they arnt "chicken" chara, nor a fear.It just won't put direct dialogue activities above their priorities list.--------------------------------------------別に君達との間に線を引いているつもりはないんだけど、コミケではいつも想定以上のドレインタッチを受けてしまうから、この僕でもとても疲弊してしまうんだ。長年単一民族で有る事が弊害になっている事も知ってはいるけど、僕の力はここには及ばないよ。by Boogiepop
>>21515377no restriction on making "差し入れ sashi-ire" and giving a fan letter. But pls choose something that will not increase ur return luggage, size, weight, longer retention period, and can be stored at room temperature.cold/iced coffee and tea are not desirable bc they often want to go to トイレ by diuretic action,So, スポーツドリンク(ポカリ or), ミネラルウォーター, 栄養ドリンク, ゼリー飲料,塩キャラメル, カロリーメイト like are preferred, but these are not unique. If the 最高気温 on the day exceeds 30℃, the "冷却シート" will also be appreciated.(u should use it too, if so)In popular circles, can not accept "サイン(autograph)"or "スケブ skebu(shorten of sketchbook) = quick illustration" usual. by Boogiepop
>>21523179Do you have any tips on making japanese friends? Your tips were very helpful. But how should I approach them on the first place? I understand japs are more reserves and i myself am also incredibly shy.
Here is something I've been asking myself for a while: I know how to ask in Japanese if I could take a look at the doujinshi someone is selling and I also know how to buy. But what do I say in Japanese if i looked at it and decided I don't want to buy it?
>>21523820Not boogieanon, but my best recommendation is finding common ground, for example you LOVE Symphogear or X idol franchise and they do too, you'll be able to get the conversation going with ease.Only problem is that people at Tokyo are done with weebs/tourist, so the ice is harder to break. Best tip in this case would be traveling to cities used as reference for Anime like Yuuki Yuuna, Yama no Musume or Girls und Panzer.Ｅｎｊｏｙ the day, do some stamp rallies, and close the day with a golden brooch by going to local bars. People will know you are the real deal by default when a gaijin shows up out of nowhere and will most likely want to start a conversation with you, plus alcohol is way cheaper outside of Tokyo.I recommend Ooarai these coming months now that the new OVA is on theaters.
>>21523799Thanks a lot man, I'm not sure how popular my creator is but I'll judge by the line and not be pushy if it seems like it would be too much to ask for.Excited!
