Why have you never heard of James Brookes, White Rajah of Sarawak?
>>
Oh and his Kingdom lasted until 1947 ruled by his descendents.

because certain hook nosed individuals don't like these types of people
>>
>>6129775
I think that has something to do with it too. We can't have a white man having a positive genuinely civilising influence of people can we?

Nope, and there's no point in arguing with fags on this board. It's been colonized by discord trannies for quite a while now.

Affirmative, We were kings my good fellows
>>
>>6129820
It's not really a WE WUZ kind of issue. He did rule in malaysia, that much is true. We're not saying that Mansa Musa was white or anything.
>>
>>6129760
It was a bit of a meme kingdom, but it's still pretty cool and interesting.
>>
>>6129820
no we weren't, but this guy genuinely was. He won himself a country with one boat and a handful of adventurers. He had more success against the headhunting Pirates of Borneo than anyone ever had before, constantly hammering them in their lairs and bringing them to the negotioation table afterwards. His expeditions were some of the most diverse fighting forces ever assembled, with British, Dutch, and American warships (sometimes even steamships) fighting side by side with mercenaries, his subjects, and even headhunters armed with blowpipes dipped in poison. One of his most trusted leiutentants was an honest to god Scotch-Arab (in the 1840's mark you) who had previously fought against Napoleon at the Battle of the Pyramids. You don't get real life events that make fiction look tame in comparison often but the career of Brookes is one of them.

He also liked to grow roses and play leapfrog.

The post above quite literally warns of your arrival Discord Tranny freak
>>
>>6129845
It was a small kingdom sure but not exactly "meme". The Rajah was the authority, not some colonial governor

I have. He was literally the subject of my college paper in a history course.

>Oh and his Kingdom lasted until 1947 ruled by his descendents.

By his Nephew's descendants. James Brooke of Sarawak was unmarried. And there are heavy suspicions of him being fucking gay.

Its highly possible that any inclinations toward homosexuality by James Brooke was influenced by the fact that pederasty was practiced among the Sultans of Borneo and Southern Philippines.
>>6129775
White people in general have 0 knowledge of Southeast Asian history. Even its white actors.
>>
>>6129845
Wrong. The Kingdom of Sarawak was a real Kingdom following James being granted the title among the Sultans of Borneo.

It was Semi-independent and at some points, even clashed with British/BEIC interests.

>This man literally re-civilized Dark-age Spain and sicily, and retaught Europeans how to wash

Why havent you heard of tariq ibn ziyad?
>>
>>6129743
Foreign Kings were not unusual in maritime Indic Southeast Asia. Malay and Minangkabau Sultans claimed descent from Alexander the Great through Tamil Hindu King Rajendra Chola. Sri Lumay on Cebu was descended from Rajendra Chola. The Sultans of Brunei, Sulu, Pontianak, and Siak Sri Indrapura are of Arab Hashemite descent.

James Brooke ruled over Sarawak on Borneo island and the natives of Sarawak are non-Muslim Iban Dayak people. Not the Malay Muslims who are immigrants to Sarawak. The Iban are second class citizens to Malay Muslims in Malaysia. Even though Malay Muslims claim to treat them as Bumiputera that's a lie. The Malays give Bumiputera privileges to foreign Indian Muslims as first class citizens while treating non-Muslim Ibans and Orang Asli as second class.

There's also plenty of evidence he wasn't gay - notably the love letters sent between him and Angie-Burdett-Coutts (or however it was spelled). Him being unmarried may well have been down to wounds he received in india which left him impotent. Brookes was a very interesting man.

>>6131276
Dunno which one?
>>
>>6130634
Many of the Dayaks wish they still lived under the vyner-brook dynasty. Look at any videos on youtube or articles discussing it and the comments are always filled with people from Sarawak talking about how them miss them

>everything I don't like is Jewish
I don't see why jews in general would give a shit about him, since Jews can't agree on anything, from zionism to nationalism, liberalism to conservatism. It's almsot as if they aren't a hivemind, but that can't be true, right?

The actual reason few have heard of him is because the area of study he was in is so niche in the west. I can't think of anyone who specialises in South-East Asian history, and he was only a minor but interesting character in British Imperial history.
>>
>>6138370
What thread? I heard about this guy when i read Flashmans Lady by George MacDonald Fraser about 7 years ago. I just never ever see him pop up in any sort of culture or media and i wondered why - he's a badass

>>6138411
He's a white king in a non-white country who did good by his people. We had plenty of fictionalised versions of the "white saviour" narrative so why not actually do one based in reality. Dude doesn't even get mentioned in documentaries about the era or even much in academia concerning his era. He's become unfashionable because in one man he embodies all the best things about the Europeans of that era and we can't have that

>He's become unfashionable because in one man he embodies all the best things about the Europeans of that era and we can't have that
Ok I can see the film maybe catching some flak because of "white saviour narrative", but it was literally the Malaysian King who created his dynasty wasn't it? I'm not against the notion that lefties would bear some resentment against him and the story, but the idea of "hur dur it's the jews behind it all" is just pathetic.
The only thing "behind it" is fear of offending the millions of ex-colonial subjects in Britain who feel embarrassed by it all, and lefty white people. Like I said, for Jews to be "behind it all", they would actually need to agree on something.
>>
>>6139766
The Brunei Sultan "granted" him Sarawak because the weak Bruneian Malay army couldn't do jack shit to pacify or rule the native Iban-Dayak tribes since Malays were a minority and behind in military technology. Brunei is not part of Malaysia. They refused to join.

idk why so many in this thread claim him as a "great white guy" when the Brookes were far from white supremacists, they openly encouraged race mixing

They were a good dynasty though, and are fondly remembered by the natives for the most part

>Rajendra Chola
>Descendant of Alexander the Great

Gonna need some reference for that.
>>
>>6152179
He wasn't a descendant of Alexander the Great obviously, but Malay princes descended from Rajendra Chola constructed a fake genealogy between Rajendra Chola and Alexander the Great after the Malays converted to Islam and became aware of Alexander the Great being associated with Dhul Qarnayn (the two horned one) in the Qur'an. The Malay Muslims wanted to claim descent from Alexander Dhul Qarnayn so they linked him to their ancestor Rajendra Chola.

>I honestly think that most of their gripes with the world could be solved by Marxism
This. I can't understand why someone would reject a literal utopia and choose a flawed system like capitalism instead.
>>
>>6152429
They have been brainwashed by their masters. In a way they are victims of capitalism too. That won't save them when the revolution comes asking for traitor's heads though.
>>
>>6152429
Marxism isn't a literal utopia, and honestly I think that's one of the biggest flaws Marxists have in general.

Marxism DOES provide very pertinent critiques of capitalism, and a healthy world moving forward will require a lot of Marxist ideas, but thinking about it in binary terms of "Marxist utopia" and "capitalist shithole" is both unrealistic and actually kind of dangerous.

>This. I can't understand why someone would reject a literal utopia and choose a flawed system
Maybe because this 'utopia' was attempted many times and didn't even get close to wroking as intended, and the result was always something much worse than capitalism.
