8th-generation 1.7GHz quad-core Core i7 processor....In a Mac Pro???! why is it only 1.7ghz?!?!
Here's the source:https://www.macrumors.com/2019/07/11/base-2019-13-inch-macbook-pro-benchmarks/
>>71837085Go back to >>>/r9k/ or >>>/b/ with that cheap drug thot
>>71837085>Mac Pro???! >why is it only 1.7ghzCause that shit case design is gonna overheat
>>71837098what is a cheap drug thot?
>>71837106but it's like a full 1ghz slower, they had 2ghz in 2007wtf
So Mac users can keep up
>>71837121> 2ghz - 1ghz = 1.7ghz
>>71837085>why is it only 1.7ghz?!?!I guess the thin design can only handle that cooling... but real human beings wouldn't edit their shitty videos on a laptop
>>71837098How do you even know who that beautiful angel is?
>>71837092>13 inch MacBook proFor that size of laptop, you really can't expect much from Intel. It will look much better when apple uses their ARM chips at 3ghz in their laptops
>>71837085Underclocked for temperature concerns. Most laptops are like that, so in that field 1.7ghz, in the small form factor, thats pretty competitive.
Because they know what they are doing. They made a compromise for power consumption and temperature.
>>71837255Oh shit I misread op, Mac Pro. Yeah, pretty stupid, but for workload it might hand off a lot of tasks to graphics processing, esp when it comes to rendering video, etc. I honesty can’t back that up though, in any size tower, even basic passive cooling will let you run a 95w TDP Processor at stock.
>>71837331Is that not the right word or what are you getting at?
>>71837085Do children not learn at least by accident that muh ghz is a worthless number by itself? Or that when it comes to mobile chips it means the minimal base clock under normal scenarios? Fun fact, your desktop probably runs below that frequency too during average use unless your dumb ass messed with the power profiles. >>71837168It takes about realtime either way, most YTbers publish a video a week, usually below 30minutes. Why the fuck wouldn't they just edit it on their laptop and let it finish their job during a meal or while fucking their partner?
>>71837257>Because they know what they are doing.YEAH SELLING OVER PRICED UNDERPOWERED SHIT TO SUCKERS!!!
>>71837107Avarage tits Kiara from /r9k/
>>71837409You overestimate how much people irl have sex.
>>71837085>>71837121>>71837422>clock speed is the only measure of performance>>71837296>Oh shit I misread op, Mac ProNo, OP is just being retarded as usual.
>>71837426>Avarage titsthey are well above average
>>71837438>Clock speed doesn't matter!
>>71837438Hey bro I am making a new Pro Editor Desktop, it's 400mhz, but i am sure that you know such things are not the measure of performance, wanna buy?
Macs are not for serious users, they're for college girls false-flagging their wealth. When will /g realize this?
>>71837433Doing it once a week is actually pretty close to average couples.
>>71837466>wealthapple products are status symbols for poor people. 95% of them can't even buy them but finance over 24 months
>>71837472>Doing it once a week is actually pretty close to average couples.that's gay
>>71837451>read reviews>compare benchmarks>buy if it fits the bill, not buy if it doesn'tIs it that hard?
>>71837472I had a dysfunctional relationship then
>>71837513You're thinking iPhones, macs are exclusively for college thots/basedbois.
>>71837562Or anyone who works in a creative field. And most "coders" since you need a Mac to make apps for the Applel store. Or professionals from any non computer related field like doctors.
>>71837600You're talking out of your ass. Most professionals use windows. Look at any hospital computer, probably running win7."Creative fields" are bullshit, do you mean the e-celeb field by chance?
>>71837651>hospital computerI'm not talking about some poor overworked nurse but the doctor who has their own office and personal computer to keep track of shit. At least from the couple plastic surgeons I know, each and every single one is a Macfag. >"Creative fields" are bullshit>implying you don't consume any sort of media
>>71837562no, its any apple product. they're expensive enough to be the premium consumer product but cheap enough that anyone on minimum wage can afford one through finance.
>>71837698>expensive enough to be the premium consumer product but cheap enough that anyone on minimum wage can afford one through finance. So like literally any other pieces of tech aside of niche equipment costing a couple thousand grands?
>>71837680I'm sure you know a lot of plastic surgeons big boy, but the most popular software for "keeping track of shit" is microsoft excel.>ad hominem tho
>>71837722exactly, but apple has the mindshare hence it being a status symbol and every thot using one.
>>71837651enterprise contracts don't count. >>71837600 is not wrong. macs are popular in many creative fields like art/graphic design/video editing. not saying all artists have macs, but a large number do.
>>71837722What are you talking about? If you want a decent laptop buy an older thinkpad or dell. This avoids the status symbol meme but provides you with enough power to do normie tasks.
>>71837728>but the most popular software for "keeping track of shit" is microsoft excel.Imagine if there was a way to run it on a Mac!>ad hominem thoAsking whether you consume media is ad hominem now?
>>71837790>decent laptop>doesn't run a decent OS>doesn't have 16:10 screen>worse battery life>heavier
>>71837792deliberately siderailing the point of the argument by bringing in the details of the author is ad hominem by definition. Cloud based services are trash, btw.>>71837808>assiging arbitrary meme standards to a laptopFuck off, the most important element is does it do what you need it do. And for a fraction of the price, a thinkpad or dell can do just that.
>>71837862>deliberately siderailing the point of the argumentThe point of the argument was Macs being very well represented in all creative fields, calling them bullshit while very likely using the fruits of the labour just doesn't add up.>>71837862>the most important element is does it do what you need it do.Why go this low, when you can do what you need to do in an enjoyable way and faster?>And for a fraction of the price, a thinkpad or dell can do just that. Why not going all the way to some laptop you found in a trashcan? Or do the shit on your phone?
>>71837912>slippery slope arguementHonestly, why pay over 1000 USD when you can buy something that suites your needs for less than 2-300 dollars? At a similar performance obviously.
>>71837994>Why go this low, when you can do what you need to do in an enjoyable way and faster?Besides buying something decent for a higher price is cheaper in the long run than buying cheap trash and having to replace it all the time when it breaks down, potentially getting totally fucked when it breaks down during an important moment. Companies like IBM specifically go full Mac due the price. If we talk about average dirt poor people who can't get a 1k+ laptop, they are probably too poor or technically inept for backups too.
>>71838052>thinkpad>cheap trashlmao, wut? I have an 8 yr old thinkpad that runs like a dream.I'm not saying buy acer or some cheap chink shit
>>71838100Cheap trash compared to what you'd get with a Macbook. The screen alone is fucking unbearable and the size/weight just fucked in >current yearAnd sure, there are specific scenarios where a ThinkPad would make sense, for someone dirt poor who doesn't need a desktop, it's a cool option. For hobbists who want to fuck around with Loonix too. And obviously for people who enjoy being able to replace components. Plus the design is actually pretty cool. But if you're not THAT pressed for money and want something better at being a laptop and more enjoyable to use due MacOS ... buying something pricier is a no brainer. The laptop market generally blows in that regard, most options aside of <400 used ThinkPads and >1.2 Macbooks don't make too much sense.
>>71838211You have yet to give a reason as to why a macbook would be superior to a thinkpad. The resolution, sure, but what does an average youtube-goer need a high resolution for?The weight is not terrible if you buy a smaller model, which will decrease the importance of resolution anyway. Objectively, what makes a macbook a good purchase in 2019?
>>71838268Listed the most obvious shit already.>>71837808>what does an average youtube-goer need a high resolution for?Things look better making it a more enjoyable experience. Plus it's more comfy to use the web on higher res, check your mails or whatever else. Try using a great screen even for a week and then come back to the ThinkPad, it'll feel like traveling back in time. Are you going to ask why the average person needs more than 96kbs MP3s? >The weight is not terribleSure it's bearable but why bother with that if you can get half the weight or even less? A portable computer you barely notice is a huge fucking pro.A lot of the pro's come from MacOS itself, shit just working is great, whether you're a professional who can't be assed wasting time on setting it up or a techphobe who gets panic attacks over a pop up or the computer choosing to restart for an update. Plus the UI seems easier for normies to get around even if they used Windows. Besides if you talk about people who have no clue about tech on only use it for YT/FB/mails, upgrading the harddrive is a big fucking ask, and the performance without SSD just falls too far behind. Paying more for a complete package for a computer they can use fully after opening the box saves them a lot fucking stress.
>>71838211http://letmegooglethat.com/?q=macbook+overheatinghow can you WORK on something that can't handle normal workload
>>71838419>people have problems with somethingWoah.
>>71838407>He still believes 'pro' users still use that piece of shitty techology
>>71838455>he never leaves his basement
