The next scilicon valley is gonna be in houston texas (not prissy austin), or at least in dallas (but not austin). It's going to be a republican silicon valley with guns and the bible. No one can stop it.
>>
This will never happen. Republicans tend not to have the capabilities for abstract and logical thought necessary to be a good programmer.
>>
>>71385477
I appreciate that you've udated your shitposting, but Austin and DFW are still far more likely candidates.

People change sides when the side start to get too crazy.
So what you say was true when Republicans were the craziest, but as the Dems are spiraling out of control and letting the far-lefties take over, reps will end up getting the smart people and be the smart side... until they start to cave for the far-righters and the smart people have to move back.

from Dallas, live in Austin, fuck Houston.

Dallas is currently the center for old money. Investment banks, B2B tech firms, and a shit ton of crypto are firmly nestled there. Bunch of boomers who are ready to shill money for anything related to blockchain.

Austin is still the most likely contender for Silicon valley 2.0. It's already silicon hills. Problem is that it's liberal as fuck. Pretty soon I'm not going to be able to work at my firm and shoot my rifle on the weekends. Shit sucks ass yo.

Fuck Houston proper. Houston metro area is nice though.
>>
>>71385477
Houston will never be a major technological based city. We're way too spread out, we have the worst of the worst people (our blacks are post katrina hood rats, a large majority of our whties are red necks/oil field workers, and out chinks aren't even really chinks, they're vietnamese gooks). We're not right wing either, Houston is one of the most brown cities in the country, it's always blue on the map (although us Houstonians do seem to love our guns/bible, although I'm not such a huge fan of christ cuckery). Plus we already have a great deal of our business directed towards the ports, primarily oil.

If I had to make a guess, Dallas, Fort worth, Austin, or Denver are more likely to be the next silicon valley, if it's located in the US.

>>
I went to Houston once, for a day trip while I was primarily in Austin visiting a friend. Some random guy that probably overheard my accent when speaking with my friend, came over to us and asked if I was "one of them European catholics"... I said no, actually I don't believe in God at all, but thanks for asking. He then said "you better accept our lord an saviour Jeezus Christ into your hearts, he died for your sin" while reaching for something I assume was concealed carry. My friend started yanking my arm, wanting to leave and I was just visibly confused. After we had gone back to our car, he told me "you have to lie here anon, if you tell people you're an atheist you're going to get beaten up or even killed".

I understand why Texans are so hostile against muslims and non-white people, but why are they afraid of people who don't believe in their particular brand of christianity?

I've been many times to San Jose, CA too, but that's probably one of the most liberal towns there is, only shy of SF. Austin is pretty much the same, only with cowboy boots and hats. I've been to New York, Seattle and Chicago too, never happened there.

if you want more "crazy south" then just vote for more big government, because then everyone will be the same. the south is welfare heaven
>>
>>71387738
Aren't they crazy because their welfare keeps getting cut though? Isn't that half the reason why they are angry at government and angry at niggers that get more welfare than them?
>>
>>71387729
no not really, but also that was what, southern Alabama, right? That's not quite the same as Texas. That area they drove through is basically a massive swamp and everyone who lives there can't count higher than whatever their house number is.
>>
>>71387767
southern culture is based around the concept of pride in one's own dignity. the feeling among southerners is that liberals (knowingly or unknowingly) strip them of their dignity and also lump them all into one group -- without ever having met them. this is why liberals have such low success rates with southerners, because their policies are viewed as abrasive, off key, and out of touch.
>>
>>71387767
Yeah, there's probably a huge difference between swamplands in Alabama and a metropolis like Houston, but still. Texas can be pretty crazy once you get outside the cities.

well see, the niggers will jump through the hoops to get the welfare. cleetus on the other hand doesn't even know how to write his own name much less provide the documentation to get a government check, and he thinks it's all some bullshit conspiracy anyway. political parties for these people are like sports teams and you're on the side of the country who likes red. none of these people understand government enough to hate it for appropriate reasons.
>>
>>71387813
>cleetus on the other hand doesn't even know how to write his own name
Isn't illiteracy among blacks in the south extremely high compared to any other demographic group? I don't think Cleetus has it any worse than niggers in the south to be quite honest, Republican governors and republicans holding local offices aren't going to treat them any better. But you're right that he probably sees it as a huge conspiracy against him, and the sports team analogy because they keep voting for stuff that ultimately makes things worse for themselves.
>>
>>71387782
the same is true of the way southern conservatives view northern liberals -- hell, even the association with areas of the country to an individual's political leanings is equally abrasive, off key, and out of touch.
>>
>>71387834
"illiterate" doesn't mean you can't fill out a government form or get someone who can write to do it for you.
>>
>>71387867
True, but seeing how they lack the proper paperwork to even get to vote (which is a right), and that the south generally have worse welfare programs over all , I doubt that it is as easy as you say.

Silicon Valley exists because of the US Federal Government and military pumping money into it. China can do that far better and far more efficiently than the US. The only problem the Chinese have is their lack of innovation, and unlike the acolytes of Social Justice the Chinese are actually deeply introspective about this and are trying to resolve it. This is China we're talking about so the attempts at creating a hyper-innovative Creative-Caste are absolutely horrifying and leave thousands scarred physically and emotionally in their wake, but what does the CCP care, China has over a billion people.

>>
>>71393074

Hmmm.
>>
>>71393095
>It wasn't?
Amazon pulled out because democrat politicians decided that they shouldn't get a tax cut after all and had to pay corporate taxes like every other company.
>>
>>71393105
Yes, and who came out on top?
Amazon that decided to cut and run, or the dysfunctional left that inhabit Long Island?
>>
>>71393133
>Yes, and who came out on top?
Well, neither. NYC lost hundreds, if not thousands, of new jobs, and Amazon didn't get their tax breaks and are still(?) searching for a suitable county to build their new headquarters without being taxed to death. The only thing that came out of it is that Amazon "retaliated" by building a cashierless store, but that's peanuts compared to moving their headquarters.

I don't understand what Americans are getting back for their taxes either. I mean, the corporate tax rate is significantly higher than it is here in Norway (the socialist dystopia full of immigrants that Fox news likes to scare everyone with), but we at least have a functioning public health care system and higher education. Meanwhile, corporate taxes in the US are so high nobody except the biggest of the big megacorporations are able to survive, yet all those sweet tax dollars just vanish in to nothing (or military spending, I guess?)
>>
>>71385477
