My Oneplus 3T screen is starting to fall off from the top so I think it's time to get a new phone.

Any good recommendations for a phone around that tier level in Australia? Sub $500 with good battery life.

I need a good phone that has:
- audio jack
- rectangular display (no round corners)
- no notches or holes
- removable battery is a dream but I know it's impossible
- not a chinkshit

- don't care about cameras
- being waterproof is a plus

Lads, what is going on?

My phone keeps shutting down at points between 20-30%
Usually immediately after I switch the screen back on and start doing something, or suddenly after I turn the flashlight on
Usually between 20-30%, although maybe 10-30% as yesterday it hapened at 16%
Happened very occasionally last year but has become more and more frequent. To the point where it happened yesterday and hapened again today just now.

It's a Moto X Play. 3.5 years old. I'm sad because it still does everything I need it to, and even the battery life is still good (if it didn't shut off). I wanted to be a bad goy and keep using it for another 2-3 years.

1) What is actually going on here, what is causing this? (I don't know anythign about science or electricity or anything I'm a brainlet)
2) What is the fix (if there is one)?

It's too early to buy a 5G phone, the 5G network infrastructure isn't there yet, and the currently available 5G phones with the Qualcomm X50 modem don't even support all 5G features so they're not future proof anyway. Wait atleast until early 2020 when phones will start coming out with the second gen Qualcomm X55 5G modem that actually supports all 5G features.

sandstone has basically no lip. Only covers the back. My kugi case doesn't affect the pop-up cam but it's not the most accurate cut-outs. Works fine for me though.

The G5 doesn't bootloop, they made shure that didnt happen by placing every part as separate as possible to each other. They might ended up with huge bezels and shit battery life, but at least it didnt bootloop (unless you flash pajeetROM pre-alpha on it)
Have mine since 2017 (got it used) and the only thing that broke was the camera, which took me 10 minutes to fix.

Bought a Sony Xperia XA2 and installed Lineage OS. Installing was a mother bitch because of problems, nonetheless I'm having a super comfy time so far. I love the design of this phone and how it sits in my hand(s). The fingerprint reader is really quick and you don't even notice it, compared to the shit iPhone thumb fingerprint reader. Anyone here have experience buying "renewed" phones through amazon? Equally good would be anecdotes about refurbished phones. I'm particularly curious about battery life with these reincarnations since it would seem their rebirth doesn't always include a fresh new battery.

Recently got the 7 Pro and I've been enjoying it, was odd getting used to no buttons as this is my first phone without, but it's smooth once I adjusted. Screen looks great, high resolution and 90hz refresh rate. Battery is great with 1440@90hz but can be switched down to 1080@60hz to stretch it further. Only thing I'm worried about is the pop up camera being a moving part, but I rarely have it up and it's apparently rated for 300k uses or something so not sweating too hard. Camera is solid, they have been fine-tuning the software via update lately
