Phone history thread

Here's mine: defined by being a poorfag.

>Nokia 1200
>Nokia 5800 (missing)
>Xperia S
>Galaxy J7 2016
>Redmi Note 5 Pro

The nokia is perfectly working and it's almost 10 years old. Just needs a charge.

The Note 5 is definitely the best here.

Fuck it, I'll post it again. I wish I had gotten aboard the palm train a lot earlier. Windows Mobile was balls by comparison.
I liked my htc win8s

And after the Nokia came a couple of generic Android devices.
The camera was rubbish and the battery life was meh, but it was a good size and pretty usable with a good sized SD in it.

Since they're all working perfectly, each was given to a family member as an upgrade, except the 1200 of course.

The 5800 had a build quality that is unseen in todays market, but fucked with aweful software.

Love that HP
Is there a website to make these charts from a list of phones or you made it yourself ?

Waaait a minute, why would you change the Symbian P1i for a dumphone SE? Did it die?
>The 5800 had a build quality that is unseen in todays market
My mom's still using my 5800 I had at its prime time. Original battery and all, no problems.

>but fucked with aweful software.
Eh Symbian wasn't anywhere near modern smartphone OSes, but it wasn't THAT bad.
>Original battery and all, no problems.
Screen also in perfect condition because always used protective foil

It was very nice for the time, but big and heavy. I played around with it for a couple of months and then decided that I didn't need most of the features and didn't like the form factor. The Nokia E52 pretty much had the same features, but in a much smaller package. It was a fun gadget though.
>LG Neon
>LG Xeon
>Samsung Galaxy Q
>Sony Xperia S
>Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (for a week, couldn't afford it, just tried it)
>Back to Xperia S
>OnePlus 3
>Samsung Galaxy S8+

Loved every single one of those phones. Used the Xperia S for 4 years.

S8+ is the smoothest phone I've ever used though

some sony ericsson my grandmother had bought me
sony ericsson t610
sony ericsson w205
huawei ideos x5
lg g3

samsung s7 edge

not gonna bother with pics since I don't have them anymore:

2007-2009: some samsung flip phone, it had a camera and color screen but no other special features
2009-2013: nokia xpressmusic slider (12 key, not the one with a full keyboard)
2013-2015: galaxy s3 mini
2015-2017: blackberry classic
2017-present: iphone se

out of all of them, galaxy s3 mini was my least favorite, and iphone se is my favorite. blackberry classic was my second favorite, I would still be using it if it wasn't so fucking slow on modern websites.

samsung ships quite a few faulty devices and i've been cheated by samsung's warranty service twice. i wouldn't want anybody on this board to be tricked by those faggots. buy literally anything else.

The best was 5800, I've used it for 4.5 years, never has a case or a screen protector, it never broke, it can support a hit with the floor with no damage. What times.

>samsung ships quite a few faulty devices and i've been cheated by samsung's warranty service twice
I don't need to worry about that, I live in Australia and we have Consumer Guarantees that means warranty is never an issue.

I've returned things well past their warranty expiry and the businesses are forced to comply. And when businesses try to 'cheat' the regulator fines them.

Add in old nokia phone to the left and replace note 8 with 9.

I used to use my phone purely for calls and texts. Then the htc battery started to become too shit and spare s5mini was also shit to begin with.
I figured I'd give myself a treat since I had money lying around and get a note 8. Now I'm a slut and have the note 9.

What's the point of these threads?
Either you have so many you can't list them all or you have so few you expose how young you are.
In any case, young people never learned to use a phone so they think we are joking when older people say we had perfect phones over a decade ago and the new stuff is shit in comparison.
I never had a phone. Don't need one.
Samsung slide phone (don't remember the model but I got it around 2010)

Huawei M860

Galaxy Note 3 running LOS 15.1 (love this phone)

I'm still using my Note 3 as well anon. coming up on 5 years strong with it
It's a great phone with its removable battery, upgradeable storage and hardware home button. I'm using mine with a 7500mAH battery and I'm pretty happy with it

I don't change phones that often and I've been pretty happy with all of them. I only really replaced the S2 because I dropped it and shattered the screen, and it would have cost more to get a new screen than the phone was worth.

Fuck, I coveted the W810 so much when I was in high school. But my parents wouldn't let me have a cell phone because they were of the opinion that it would "distract" me.
