I have the same issue at my school gym. If they catch you using chalk it's a 2 week suspension.
I've used liquid grip in the past and it's not as good as real chalk+a good bar, but it's much better than nothing. Also, add in some heavy farmer's carries with heavy dumbbells at the end of your workout. You can also take some single-ply toilet paper and wrap it around the bar 2-3 times before you grab it (so the tp is wrapped around the bar between your hands and the bar) and that works really well. If you do that, you'll have to keep replacing the tp every couple of sets though.

I'm not and it's not like I passed them yet. We just have tests before exams. Depending on a course they can be even every class or like 2-3 a semester. You have to pass all of that to be allowed to take an exam and in most cases if you do really well you get a few bonus points on an exam. I'm basically doing an "emerging strategies" version of barbell medicine's hypertrophy program - with a few exercises chopped out and the volume kept constant. Pretty memey I know. I've been running it for 4 weeks with consistent improvement and I plan to do that until I go backwards - based on my e1RMs.

e1RMs (calculated using reps, sets, RPE) are a good way to track progress, even if they aren't accurate - as long as they're consistently inaccurate, if you know what I mean.

I really want to bench 120 this year and deadlift 250, minimum.
