If you aren't making sunglasses for generations of military aviators, you ain't shit.
>>
>>14174853
Look up "plastic aviators" on etsy, buy some frames and get some sunglass lenses put in.

Can clip ons ever be cool? I have astigmatism on one eye so contacts are a no go.
>>
>>14177434
What about just getting prescription sunglasses?
>>
>>
>wearing Luxottica shit
>paying luxury brand prices for Luxottica shit
lmao
>>
>>14177502
Benefits doesn't cover prescription sunglasses, and they get pretty expensive. Also, less convenient to tuck sunglasses into a pocket and swap with eyeglasses when going in doors, compared to a clip. Just seems like the best of both worlds, if you could find a pair that doesn't look too dorky.
>>
>>14177434
eh it depends on how obvious they look
>>
>>14177508
It's unfortunate that they bought out almost all the competition. I still have persol 649s because I love them and a pair of raybans because costco had em for $100

It's pretty tricky to find ones that are the same shape as the frame. A lot of them are fit over acetate frames or ones with thick and wide joints, and are quite obvious. These look alright.
>>
Any decent sub$100 brands that offer polarized sunglasses?
>>
>>14177215
what model is this?
>>
>>14177434
Looking into that as well, some do look quite nice on pictures at least.
>>
>>14177553
I'd only get them for frames they were designed for.

Clip on sunglasses start to look better as you age, nothing better than grampa's that wear clear aviators with clip-on sunglasses

Hilarious

Ray-Ban® - the most cliché brand you could possibly choose. Screams 'I lack a of sense of style' to everyone, as you gladly let 1/20th of your vision be BLOCKED by some random conglomerate logo slipping further and further into conformist non-individuality
>>
>>14177670
Polaroid
>>
>>14179091
The whole point of Ray-Bans, or any long established brand for that matter is the cliché it's been connected to. You don't just wear them just because. You also wear them to buy into the established reputation it has.
And because my eyes is all fucked up I need prescription glasses: I never have to deal with the logo in my vision.

I don't have a favorite brand desu, they are my guilty pleasure and I usually impulse buy them
>>
>>14179091
>you gladly let 1/20th of your vision be BLOCKED by some random conglomerate logo
t. someone who has never owned RayBan sunglasses, surprise fact: the logo DOESN'T BLOCK anything from your vision

>>14179091
>slipping further and further into conformist non-individuality
you don't always have to be a special snowflake, you can allow yourself wearing stuff, which is just good, hence worn by many

no other brand has as many iconic models as RayBan does

Luxottica has some shitty, overpriced brands, more precisely all the clothing fashion brands they manufacture sunglasses for, RayBan is not one of those, Persol isn't either
>>
>>14180230
>RayBan is not one of those, Persol isn't either
>this hard plastic is better than that hard plastic
top cuck
>>
>>14178552

What about UV protection?
>>
>>14180811
This: your eyes should be precious to you and are worth adequate protection. You shouldn't skimp on glasses or shoes, you can't risk fucking up your vision or your feet.
>>
>>14180760
if you don't see the difference between plastic and plastic, that's your own issue, besides they have many metal frame models with zero plastic, get fucked shithead
>>
>>14181123
>this thin piece of metal is better than this other thin piece of metal
>>
KUBORAUM you sorry faggots.
>>
>>14178552
>$10
Wouldn't go that cheap. I got some prescription polarized sunglasses from eyebuydirect. Under $100 with some promotion. Gave up on finding other alternatives.

Nothing beats Maui Jim when it comes to sports sunglasses. Incredibly comfortable to wear. Breakwall and Lighthouse especially. Can hardly feel I'm wearing them.
>>
>>14181918
Maui Jim's are not bad. But breakwall and lighthouse are fucking wield
>>
>>14181918

Maui's are crazy nice.
>>
>>14181918
I have Maui Jim freight trains sunglasses and they are the bees knees. Their made in Japan stuff is killer.

For more sturdy substantial sunglasses I do like a lot of Tom Ford models like the Dimitry
>>
>>14181689
I got something close enough, thanks. My friend recommended the Oakley configurator to me and holy shit I forgot how ugly Oakleys are. I almost wanted to vomit and when I saw the gas-station tier plastic kiddie glasses I dicked around customizing cost $250 I actually vomited.
