I don't like this dimension.

lol

Why is this even getting good reviews? The message is nice but it's buried under nothing but advertisement. Emoji movie is horrible for that but this gets praise for it? Bullshit.
Also expect it to win the oscar considering oscars don't take animation seriously at all. Most of the judges' choices are 'my kid watched it and liked it' so most of them don't even watch the movies.

>The message is nice
>obey wahmen
>let wahmen do what they want with no consequences
Oh yeah real nice message there.

The Globes usually have plebier taste than the Oscars when it comes to animated movies, so you can expect the latter to replace it with another foreign film (although last time both the GG and the Oscars had the same fuckin’ nominations so who knows...)
>>

I'm talking about the message of moving on and losing friends along the way being a way of life.
I didn't get an obey women message from it but rather them not realizing Vanellope's decision is shitty.
>>
it's the same dimension where persona got in smashbros, the universe had to balance shit out so it's understandable

The moral is
it's okay when girl does it
>>
>>104563805
That's more of a dumb cliche than a moral.
>>

Member when Disney fought they could make Moana and Zootopia appeal to the japs with their "diversity" only to one to get ignored and the other get REKT by a fucking Godzilla movie who won 7 jap Oscar including BEST PICTURE!?
>>
>>104563762
Honestly I’m only looking forward for the Oscar nominations. I already know Disney has the award in the bag, but noms also help little-know animated movies get exposure.
>>
>>104563827
Oscars is also not so credible in animated movies. See how Brave won the award over WiR
>>
>>104563857
Guess girls liked spoiled Disney princess more.
>>
>>104563805

how about there is no moral, it's just a badly put together piece of media designed to make money, and whatever sincere artistic goals there may have been have been lost in a sea of purely pragmatic decisions

whoops that won't help anybody's delusions that SJWs are out to get them lol

Speaking of, the Academy really fucked up by nominating Moana instead of Your Name. They could’ve gotten millions in Japan to watch their award show on TV by nominating the most-successful anime movie ever.
>>
>>104563823
Japan doesn,'t give a shit about diversity. In a Japanese person's eyes, all races & creeds are equally inferior to anyone heiling from the great nation of Japan, & even then only from the good parts. Japan is based. They want their blonde haired, blue-eyed princesses in extravagant gowns. They want the European grandeur, not the American celebrity worship bullshit.

>Honestly I’m only looking forward for the Oscar nominations. I already know Disney has the award in the bag
The Oscars doesn't care for sequels and only gives the bare minimum amount of shits when it comes to foreign animated features.
Isle of Dogs will win both prizes.

That aside, I haven't watched this movie, but from what I've heard from people who have, it dosn't seem to be nearly as bad as the people bitching about it in this thread are making it out to be.
>>
>>104563762
>but it's buried under nothing but advertisement
it has as much as the first movie and barely relevant to the plot other than ebay
that shit doesn't change the quality of the story at all
>>
>>104564077
>The Oscars doesn't care for sequels
Let me rephrase that:
They don't care for sequels not named "Toy Story 3".
>>
>>104563502
This
It's been confirmed that the people that vote for these things don't bother watching anything animated and will vote for anything Disney/Pixar by default based on brand recognition
>>
>>104564093
Because TS3 is the only animated movie which retains or surpasses the quality of the original one.
>>
>>104564150
Yes, I know.
I just wanted to make sure no one corrected me by bringing up that exception.

You know Vanellope literally couldn´t go back to her game, unlike Ralph and Turbo, right? As in, her world was broken, destroyed and the arcades equilevent of GOD just called it quits
>>
>>104564225
That's no reason to go on a self destructive adventure.
