Two threads in a row where I simply didn't realize we had hit the bump limit and were already at page 10. Where were my "new thread?" people at?
>>104541454I tweeted it out to Steve Lieber to ask if he'd draw the scene. He replied with this pic saying he actually pitched it for a cover of Superior Foes when they were working on it (he also siad my addition of Silvermane for the football was excellent). I actually just remembered that someone posted this pic years ago in the threads which is why I did the scrib of it. Still pretty awesome. I asked if he sells prints of it because if he does I definitely want to get one. I really wanted him to draw it as if it were in Superior Foes though. Maybe some day I can commission it.
>>104541454It really was. I've got a Showcase Presents Our Army At War and a Silver Age Doom Patrol trade to get through as well. I was tempted to get some more Showcase Presents trades, some Jack Kirby Golden Age reprints and a Flash Gordon reprint (not Alex Raymond, so I don't know if it was any good) but I figured I should stop before I hit my encumbrance limit
>>104541631I would have definitely picked up the Kirby and found more Kubert or some Eisner. Love their work. Main reasons I tend to lean less towards capes books these day, though I'll always be a caped fan.

>>104541575You should invite him to the threads. I mean, he's been in the storytimes, he's practically a /co/mrade already.

I'm having some weirdness with Amazon today. It says an order I made for my girl's Christmas presents has been left in a secure location. The only possible location that could be is the post box but no one delivered anything to it and the dogs didn't react to any one. I really hope it hasn't gone walk about, that would be a ball ache.My /tg/ secret Santa is all ready to be shipped so that's pretty exciting. I bought a few things then ended up feeling bad it was a bit short on stuff. I would of been happy to get it but it didn't feel like something special. I raided my stash to find something really cool and included that as well. It's a strange feeling to give away something you want to keep. It completes the gift, so I'm fine with it going. Has the Christmas mood kicked in for any one yet? I'm enjoying the threads here, seeing all the things people want is exciting. I keep discovering new series I want to read and things I never knew existed. My code is 2TST9KGHKB3M co.uk
I've never really been a fan of Deadpool, I think he's only a fun character when he is paired with someone to play off of. The Cable & Deadpool series from back in the day is my favorite depiction of the character, I guess he was fun in the recent X-Force as well. I dont even know what year that was come to think of it.

>>104543533>>104543528Make for them? I'm not sure what you mean. The usual package is some models and a few nick nacks related to the hobby. My package was a mixture of different models and some brushes. I am mostly a modeller, my collection spans so many ranges I want to share with others. /tg/'s secret santa is a good way to share the love.
>>104543639Sorry, no source. I saved this years ago and rediscovered it today.
>>104543572I play a ton of games, and my pairing mentioned wanting something chaos for 40k so I'm planning on making some chaos terrain, and I've got a few other 40k things I've made in the past to send out.Mostly doing this because I prefer to have a personal touch on gifts when I can, it's the main reason I don't do giftcards or cash gifts if I can help it.
>>104543720What games do you play? I have my eye on some Dust tactics to build a diorama.I didn't get anything from my Secret Santa. Asking for a specific faction makes things difficult, terrains a good idea. Any ideas on what to make?
Please ease up on the storytime throttle for a while, okay? If people keep going at it like that, we'll hit the image limit before the 400th post.
>>104543848While I agree on all those aacounts I say we are cool for at least another hundred images, then we can go slow on storytimes.>>104543720Thanks to you elusive the 3ds case I made for my gf last year was a success.
>>104543800I play: 40k, fantasy, malifaux, warmahoards, x-wing, ST attackwing, gaslands, dicemasters, just got into the fallout minature game, and then I've got a shelf of boadgames too.I'm thinking of making them a chaos bastion, done up as a star of chaos, possibly partially split open and some demon stuffing/tentacles.
>>104543900Glad it turned out well and she liked it.Were you the one that was making the slip case for some comic collection as well?
Thanks for the book, anon! I love this story a lot, so glad to finally own it.
>>104543928Not really, the idea I have for some of my floppies is take them to a binder but I am not sure if what series would be a good one to experiment with. What Im doing this end year is probably instal some actual shelves in here.
>>104543908So everything that has a player base? I used to play Retribution in Warmahordes. Dropped it with 3rd edition and the local community is full of petty fighting. Can't find a new game to play when groups and shops open and close constantly. We had one store open for six months just because the old store's community was so autistic (not meme autism, real autism) the guy felt sorry for them when the old store closed. He opened his own one to give them some where to hang out.Can you ship a whole bastion? I was thinking you might make some trees with faces, a vagina with teeth coming out the ground and call it a day. Do you have any pictures of your terrain?
>>104543981Ah the never ending battle of storage>>104544014We had a playerbase at one point. Plenty of people still own their armies but I have a hard time getting them to come out a play. I think I had 4 people show up to the last 40k event I ran.I could ship a bastion, they're only around the size of a loaf of bread. I don't have many pictures right now as new computer and haven't been able to find my camera anyways.
So amazon didn't give me the refund. The grinch won that battle, forget it I'm not going to waste more time on this. Moving on1MU3PX4QTCAGY .cahas been gifted.
>>104544231That's fucking awful, but I am glad you are not letting it drag you down. I wish you a very merry Christmas to you and those you love.
>>104544121Is that for all games or just 40k? I haven't kept up with stuff since 8th ed and 40k kids books. I stick to oldhammer and painting up back log minis. I don't know how the playbase responded to the new direction GW took.
>>104544271all games in my area. We had a game store close down about 4 years ago, around 3 years ago another opened but it spent the first two year only catering to the card players. I mean I could take in boxes of terrain and push together folding tables but I could just play in my garage. That store moved into a larger area last year and has 3 tables for miniature games but the player base just doesn't want to come out. At the same time this is partially due to some drama with the local gaming club's leaders, then a second, more successful, club opened and absorbed the first club. It's a long story.Damn captcha, I went through 8 screens of pictures and it ends telling me I mistyped my captcha.
>>104544407I often wonder if wargamers or high school girls have more drama. Card players is where all the money is now, online killed mini shops with a flat 15% off. 8 screens of get rid of all the items? I stop posting when the captcha asks for those. It's like a bartender saying you've had enough and it's time to go home.
Well, well, well.Looks like it's time for prize puzzle #1!The rules are simple. These are replacement puzzles that are concealing a Christmas quote/reference/lyric. >>104544547Offices have the most drama. Middle aged women crammed into small working spaces, I have seen some shit. But yea card games are what kept our old game store alive, I can't blame the new one for focusing on them. What I can blame them for is using the money from preorderd/purchased board games and miniatures to buy magic stock. I had to wait a month to get my Ork codex, I know several people that have had their stuff show up and then sold to someone else, then have to wait another two weeks to get the replacement in.
>>104544255Thanks bruh, you and yours tooand thanks >>104525170 from last thread for apparently gifting me and another anon!
>>104544682Never worked in one, hope I never do. I saw what facebook and having a child to get from school did to my mother for drama. I started to think once women hit middle age we should use the Dinosaur's solution of tar pits. Once your gossip stat goes beyond your fertility stat into the tar pit you go.Damn. That's some bad management even by game store standards. You rely on whales so much screwing their pre orders is how you lose them. The autism store thought it could rely on pokemon to stay afloat. The magic crowd were traveling to larger events out of town so we didn't have a market for them here. I'm starting to think we should have a bash.org style website for tabletop gamers. Document all the dumb shit and drama that happens. Is Orks the only faction you play? Last years /tg/ Santa got me a box of Gretchins. I want to paint them as Grot Revolutionaries from Gorka Morka.
>>104543930Of course! Wrong holiday, but glad it got to ya safe anyway.

>>104545828Okay, have fun, there's about 300 different items across all the lists there.>>104545815>How?I'm glad you asked! Th first thing was to figure out the specific cipher. It was a "Nihilist Cipher" - and to be perfectly honest I figured it out by checking a list of ciphers and choosing something that fit the>those who reject moralsline. Nihilist Cipher uses a grid much like Hank provided, so it was an instant confirmation. But as the riddle pointed out, there was one letter too many. Usually, the cipher smashes I and J together, but that was too easy. This is where the>look to the French to discover how to makeyour alphabet more Christmas-yComes in. What's "Christmas" in French? Noel. NO L.So that fixes the grid. Now the only thing to figure out was the key.>Knowing Joseph’s house will reveal thatSince the riddle is Christmas-themed, it could only mean St. Joseph - a descendant of the House of David. So "David" is the key. Now, using the grid, you can find the two-digit codes for each of the letters in the key and, after separating the code into a set of two-digit numbers, subtract the key's numbers (after you run out of letters, you just start form the first one again) to get the right "coordinates" to use on the grid. After doing that, you get the words "homo niveus". It's latin, "homo" obviously means "human/man", and "niveus" means "snow-white". Meaning "Snow-white Man", or, to fit the theme, "Snowman".https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxNzuCCh1T8

>>104548375The only podcast I bother with is Giant Bomb's All Systems Goku. The feeling of someone new being introduced to media you know and love, and getting hype at all the right moments jut does things to me.
>>104548375I used to listen The Weekly Planet podcast and Sleepycast, which I do go back and listen to every now and again. But now I only really ever bother with JRE podcast, he always has some really interesting people on that makes for a great listen.
>>104549836>SpoilerI hate discussing SW, the MCU, and the DCEU because people have been indoctrinated by Disney hard. Whenever I discuss why I dislike more recent MCU movies with people, they basically use a "It's good because it's Marvel" type of argument although movies like Ragnarok and Doctor Strange really prove otherwise. Talking about SW is easier since TLJ though because lots of fans have apparently woken up. I feel as if there are only two kinds left: the mindless fanboys and the hardcore fans who actually know that the sequels are worse than the prequels. Disney is a great company when it comes to binding consumers but the quality of their movies has decreased hard in the last couple of years
>>104549882>>104550052Eh, their review was at the end of one of their podcasts and they literally tell the listeners to avoid it for spoilers and whatnot, so it'd be pretty easy to skip it. Also, they said the same thing about the Ghostbusters reboot, so it wasn't exactly a surprise to me.
>>104550052I wouldn't underestimate how many of these podcasts are being bribed or as near to bribed without taking money. People have more faith in amateur platforms like podcasts and live streams so they make ideal shills. A free subscription to the online services and a couple of autographs will turn them into a marketeer for your company. It's hard to tell when people build their identity around childhood movies, it's unhealthy and they lash out at people who endanger their identity.
>>104550052A friend of mine loves SW456 so much he won't even acknowledge 7,8 and the sinoffs, He doesn't mind the prequels because the story was there to be told regardless of how well people think that was done.
>>104550102Maybe it's my hobby speaking but I enjoy the prequels more than I enjoy the original series. Star wars to me was never about the story, it was always about the effects. When you see some of the models come to life it's breath taking. Some of it is so good you can't tell it's a model at all. The end of episode 3 takes place on a huge model, even the lava is real practical effects. I always figured it was all CGI.
>>104550091I don't know if they're bribed or they do it out of a sense of obligation to fit in and be seen as the "right and reasonable podcast" by the masses.
>>104550091I was referring to regular discussions but yeah, it really is a marketing scheme at the end of the day. What bothers me most though is that Disney never flat out admits it when it's pretty obvious and when there are even tons of examples where they gave reviewers gifts or free tickets for X and Y. What bothers me the most though is that dumb consumers don't care about quality and companies like Disney thus get a pass to make bad movies. Just look at the recent trailer for Cap Marvel as an example>terrible CGI (literally worse than Thor 1 and Captain America 1)>nobody bothered telling Brie to actually act>generic costume (still one of the better ones in Phase 3)>boring actionWhile the last one may be subjective, the other points are pretty on point. I guess I should at least be happy that they didn't fill it up with quips but I'm sad I'm not interested in the MCU at all anymore except for Avengers 4 because Disney just doesn't give a damn anymore
>>104550137I like the prequels too, probably not more than the originals it I think they are judged too harshly. I think I like episode 1 the best though that might be because of how much time I spent on the episode 1 video game
>>104550102Lots of fans I know told me that. In my opinion, the sequels were a spit in fans' faces. Luke, Han, and Leia being the heroes back in the day and suddenly, we find out their lives have been totally shit? Nah, you just can't do that>>104550137I always get shat on for saying it but I feel the same. The OT was very different from the Prequels but I always loved the more fantasy take from the PT (I do like the OT though). I just feel as if the PT did a lot more for the lore than the OT did. I also love Clone Wars so there's that>tfw best female character of the franchise is in a cartoon
>>104550154It's both. Apparently, as an anon has stated above, Disney buys (flight/theater) tickets for people, pays for hotels and meet-and-greets, etc. as long as you give good reviews. When you shit on them, you lose the special treatment. Obviously, lots of people just want to fit in and follow herd mentality but Disney has perfected the formula if you ask me
>>104550197I like the OT for its practical effects and filmmaking techniques in general. I also like it for the overall story. The PT, I like for different reasons. I like the world building aspect, the expanding of Jedi and Sith lore, Anakin's turn to evil and his relationship to Obi Wan, and the fights. It's just that I feel like the PT actually naturally expanded on the OT while the sequels feel like they just want to destroy everything that has been shown in the past. Hell, they literally even destroy books and kill off characters in the sequels so you couldn't even really deny it if you wanted to try
So all the story-timing has really died down here ...>>104548241The slinky I had forever dying (nonmetallic, the plastic dried out or some such) was a sad day>>104549804Some of the stuff has never been scanned. >>104550052Sometimes, I miss the fact that I have no friends who are hardcore knowledgeable about the stuff I like but the ones I do go watch this stuff with are not mindless about but closer to what most people would describe as 'casuals' except we can discuss what was wrong or right with something without the cringe you feel say on this site.>>104548375I used to when I first got my iPod touch circa 2011, and audio books, especially when I took public transit and was living in Chicago or SF - where cars are impractical) too but now I read comic books and short stories or books on it instead
>>104550091>>104550154>>104550218Plus there's always what Dunkey said (starts at 4:34):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lG2dXobAXLI
>>104550158The acting problem is partly political. They want mouth pieces more than they want actors. I bet Luke Skywalker shitting all over his latest movie made them even more careful. If you have someone who can't act but keep hiring them they rely on you for work. No one else is going to hire them so they will sing and dance however you tell them to.Are movies a viable business model these days? I know most scripts are being turned into TV series for streaming services instead. Take a 2 hour movie and add 3 hours of padding and Netflix eat it up. If Disney controls all the media they may as well shut down the cinema model all together. At best turn Disney stores into cinema stores and at worst just do a streaming service with new movie rentals.Avengers 4 is the death of it. We're at the end game of a franchise like horror movies get. Avengers in Space and Avengers X will come out, flop and end the fad.>>104550200People who thought they should have a happy ending don't understand Star wars. No one gets a happy ending, it's a junk yard dystopia set in a dark age of lost tech being scavenged and looted. That's why people like the universe so much, it looks lived in.
>>104550270The problem with this board is that people here love to be contrarian. I also think that a lot of the users are teenagers or at least young adults who can't form their own opinions and who definitely can't try to stay objective while discussing movies/shows/comicsFor example, I love Man of Steel but tons of people here have given me decent arguments why they feel that's not the case. Meanwhile, others resort to stupid arguments like "man of murder" and "too much action".I do feel like I can usually discuss things with my casual friends better but then, there are times when I have really great discussions about stuff I like and dislike on this board
>>104550309Fair point (the dark aspect of SW). I would argue though that they would not have had to go overboard with it. I was alright with Han being killed off for example but making Luke question his loyalty to his nephew and even contemplate killing a teenager is outrigjt fan fiction. I am not saying I didn't like the approach of Kylo, Luke, and the Knights of Ren in TFA, I'm just saying that they completely fucked it up by making the back story in TLJ and every bit of reasoning bad. If you can't tell a good story with the old cast, why use them? Had they gone with an Old Republic movie, they could have had way more creative freedom and way less potential to fuck everything up
>>104550312I've had some good discussions on this board. I miss the Superman Sunday threads. And almost all of the story time threads that have discussions are enjoyable. I also dip into shelf threads even though I literally have no shelves and have few physical books and almost all digital (due to a small living space) but they can also be a bit cliquish
>>104550312>contrarianstop using this word
>>104550270>So all the story-timing has really died down here ...The thing about these threads is that we either storytime way too much, or not enough.>Some of the stuff has never been scanned. Huh, really?
>>104550304I got as far as Jim Sterlings face and closed the tab. The people he lists are just as bought and corrupt as the media outlets and nothing he can say will make up for showing me Jabba the Hutt's reincarnated asshole.>>104550312Not everything has to be an intellectual fart sniffing contest when discussing things. If I say "I don't like man of steel you gay lord", that's just as valid as me writing an essay explaining how in frame 293,928B you can see Superman's penis and it ruins the scene. Having a place where you can say something sucks is rare on the modern internet. So many places are bought off or straight up fanboy zealots that you can't say something is bad without being banned. I've been in facebook groups where you got banned for not liking something and saying it had problems. Some times I just want to say something sucks and call people who like it gay lords. Other times I want to get into a long debate and hash it out. Both have a time and place, 4chan has always been a mix of both. Ten years ago you were sorting through the Happy Negros and Teh Reis to find quality conversation just like today.>>104550348People hate reboots. People want more sequels. Make a sequel that kills off the original cast and you have your reboot and no one complains it's a reboot. That's why these characters are back.I'm not going to defend the new movies but why would you want old Old Luke back? Having Jedi Luke return would break the universe. He has lived a life after Vader's redemption. He should have changed as he got older and some of that change may have lead him to hate dark side users. The solution would have been to release a novel on Luke's unseen time. Show the dark side trying to rebalance the force and creating tyrants all over the place. Every time Luke put one down his own existence forced another into existence (excuse the pun). Eventually he got so angry and bitter that his own nephew becoming the next dark user was enough for him.
>>104550408>I've been in facebook groups where you got banned for not liking somethingI got a 3 day ban on /co/ for saying I don't like a live action movie. It wasn't even a short 3 word shitpost. It was a well written enough 25+ word post.
>>104550402>The thing about these threads is that we either storytime way too much, or not enough.I think the rule of thumb should be:If the number of images in the thread is lower than half the number of posts (and there's also enough left to post), feel free to storytime. And wouldn't you know it, 192>2*87, so if anyone has something they want to post...
>>104550402>scannedI can't think of it at the top of my head but there's a ton of unscanned stuff or the stuff that exists is poor quality and no one has gone ahead and rescanned it. I'm really excited that a few scanners have been redoing some of the Marvel Family/Wow, etc. books of late, for example.
>>104550443I like to collect old Tom and Jerry comics and there are quite a few issues still missing for sure. Many of the older books were just lost to the ether, it seems.
>>104550428I could go into a rant about the state of 4chan but I would only be banned for it. I come here for Secret Santa threads and if I need something I can't find else where. It's like going home to Mum for Christmas. I grew up here and I have fond memories but I don't like what it's become. I have been doing Secret Santa on different boards for years now and it's become my tradition. It's fun going to generals on other boards and seeing stuff I made in the OP, wondering if it will remain for my next stop by. >>104550454Now this is something I can get behind. Collecting really old comics to archive them is a cool idea. It's good to get history out of companies hands and keep those things available.
>>104550270Krypto, is there a way you could give me the tracking number for the book you gifted me? My neighbour is not at home and I can't find the DHL slip in my mailbox so I assume he has it. As I want to get the book today though, I will probably need the tracking number or order number to get it at the post office. I am sure my ID won't be enough. If not, I will just wait for my neighbour and get the book tomorrow
>>104548375Let me tell you about
>>104550429I have a LONG Kirby one but I can wait till later in this thread plus I might try to force myself to get some more sleep - it's 5 am here, if I stay awake now, I'll be asleep again by dinner time. I might look for a 5 pager or some one pagers. >>104550454Oh, if we going to talk non-big two, especially companies out of business, those also have a lot of holes. Even Gold Key or Harvey, some of the better known lines, or even stuff from as recent as the 70s and 80s is undone.>>104550575If you are comfortable with me just posting the DHL number, I'll look it up now. Otherwise, I can send it to your email? The order number is probably not a problem to post on line but I would hate for some asshole to try to swipe it?
>>104550495>>104550608Yeah, Gold Key specifically is a mess, I think I have up to a hundred issues of their run missing. Still, I've already got about 300 (Tom and Jerry were REALLY popular, y'all) and I want to find every single one that's available.I'm puzzled that more isn't being done about it. It's not just about archiving information, it's about preserving work done by the pioneers of comics, even if it was not properly credited to them.
>>104550608If you have an address of the DHL in my town, that would actually be enough info to go on. I don't need the tracking number if I know exactly where it is
>>104550624People didn't fetishize media in the past. Comics were disposable and you read them like a news paper. People keeping stuff at all is impressive.
>>104550625Tonight on fox news. Man wearing a cheetos stained Superman shirt broke into a DHL depo and ran around opening packages. Witnesses at the scene says he was ranting to himself about finding his comic books. Police arrived on the scene with a copy of The incredible spiderman 49 and used it to lore him out of the building. His motivates remain unclear but we think he was a nazi hacker on steroids from the infamous hacker group 9gag.
>>104550651Yeah, I remember those stories of BBC taping over old Doctor Who episodes. Shit's surreal to me, I'm a hoarder of information and I can't imagine just throwing episodes of a TV show away, even if it's shitty. It's all part of history, why not preserve it, especially since manufacturing data storage devices is no longer an issue.
>>104550608>>104550624>>104550651It's a LOT worse in the UK. We've had comics like The Dandy and The Beano going every week for 70-80 years, and only a handful of issues have been scanned. It's a real shame too, as there's a Christmas issue of The Dandy that I really want to storytime from 1996 (I think) but I don't think it's been scanned. Probably never will. Also, we had a great Rugrats comic that will never get scanned>>104550679https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Magic_Roundabout
>>104550679Tape was expensive and most of those tapes weren't recorded over. Back in the day you had to physically ship film reels around so other places could air them. BBC licensed Doctor Who and sent the reels to people who bought it. It was less about it being erased and more about the Emu war leaving many TV Stations in ruins.>>104550692We don't have enough drugs for the magic round about. Lets just leave that one alone...Beano and Dandy got annuals full of each year's comics didn't they? I'm sure they archived some of them in that format. I used to read the Beano as a kid for a bit. Sonic the Comic was the main comic of my youth but that's fully archived.
>>104550651Actually, some of that, as far as the 1930s and 1940s books go, was the WWII paper drive. But yeah, otherwise you're right.>>104550624Also some of the early scans are bad, which is why even if it's a book that's been scanned, I'm glad there is someone re-doing them with better Photoshop tools being used when they are cleaning up the raw images.>>104550625All I see on my end from Amazon is a phone number for DHL within Germany:0180 63 45 30 01OK, I went to DHL with the tracking number and this is what it told me (and as I said earlier, the DHL tracking info claims they left you a notification; maybe it was left with the neighbor?):>Status on Tu, 04.12.2018 04:05 hours:>The shipment is being brought to Filiale Hövelhof Allee 35 for pick-up. The earliest time when it can be picked up can be found on the notification card>Next step:>The shipment can be picked up from the retail outlet 7 working days after the time stated on the notification cardand here's the address for that "515" locale:https://psf.dhl.com/?countrycode=DE&address=H%C3%B6velhof%20Allee%2035
>>104550758>some of the early scans are badIt's certainly good to get high-quality scans but I do feel a bit of a weird charm from those yellowy scans that look just the way the old magazines did. Reading them is a pain though, yes.
>>104550723I've always found the discussion of drugs in The Magic Roundabout a bit much, if only because Eric Thompson's widow had to keep saying that it was stupid and that Eric never took anything stronger than an aspirin. This review for the crappy cgi movie sums it up pretty nicely:>On now to the question of drugs. For decades, and with varying levels of irony and facetiousness and smirking self-congratulation, commentators have insisted that The Magic Roundabout is intensely druggy, along with loads of other children's telly favourites. You cannot watch a 1970s nostalgia TV show without a thirtysomething pundit grinningly saying this with the air of someone breaking a taboo. And, to be honest, it's a tricky one to deny, considering Roobarb's brain-throbbing psychedelia, Bill and Ben's way of speaking in the presence of Little Weed, and another children's show called ... ahem ... The Herbs. Not to go along with this gag is to risk being a killjoy, but surely the gentle surrealism of children's TV entertaiment is not influenced by grownup drug culture: it is precisely the opposite way around.Anyway, there are indeed scans of Beano and Dandy annuals, but it would be nice to have more scans of the main titles themselves, is all...

>>104550843>Did the annuals not collect stories from the main titlesThe giants and annuals USED to do this but some companies were always using new content in the annuals and most of the companies now do it that way and have been doing it that way since probably the 70s, and even some of the earlier annuals have previously unpublished work. For example, one of the story times I want to do is a Limited Collector DC, which yes, does just collect previously published holiday stories from DC's on-going (when that could mean years or even decades) or earlier runs, but in this case, is a previously

He was there again just a few weeks ago apparently. They had him sign extras to sell for pretty cheap on their site.

>>104551187I still need to see Kabuto. I have a few episodes left on Faiz right now and I've really enjoyed it.
>>104554372It came from a British Ebay seller that doesn't even specialise in comics, so no clue there.>>104554382Nope, it's raining but no snow. The notes in the first pic include a blank customs label with only English text on it, so I think the book was placed in the bag before it left England.

Pastebins are updated, but we've had a drop in gifting, so 2IXOA3N2S9U6230DCIYMBCQMK32T53IN056OQA3All have something on the way. That puts us at 125 registered and 36 ungifted, that 71% gifted. Looking into it there's someone trying to sell the $20 card for $46 on there.>>104551119If I had more room I'd setup my old Real Ghostbusters toys in a display, for now they gather dust in storage with my original tmnt.>>104551482Did you seriously previously buy Count Chocula cereal for $28>>104556953That is always a pain, and most places don't pay for your "uniform" hell I did 6 months at Walmart and they take the cost of your vest out of your first paycheck.

>>104557249possibly.... I think your right.

>>104551891Stream opens up in one hour!
>>104556971I took it because I need the money, but I had to buy a really shitty white dress shirt that you can see my tank top through. Because I'm a girl and dress shirts for girls are awful.
>>104550408Of course your opinion is valid if you think that. That's not what I was trying to point out. I am annoyed by people who try to change my opinion by saying "I don't like this and if you like it, you're stupid!" That is what most discussions here boil down to unfortunately. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but when you talk down to people and don't provide any arguments whatsoever, it's just childish behaviour. I also don't really see the point in joining a discussion only to say "This sucks" because that defeats the purpose of a "discussion". I guess I just like people who agree/disagree while having an actual argument, that's allThe thing with the Facebook group is just retarded because FB in itself is stupid. People say the most cruel things and don't get banned while you get banned in groups for saying the most basic things. Fortunately, my German comic and toy group is filled with great people who know how to voice their opinions without being dickheads
>>104556953Something similar happened to me in one of my first jobs, I had to ask my neighbors if they had an old dress shirt I could use.
>>104557787How so? Women have way more variety in clothing. Dress shirts for women are fantastic if you actually have the right shops to wander around. Do you live in a smaller city?If you are serious about it though, go and get yourself tailored dress shirts. Best thing you can do because it will feel just perfect and you can use whatever colour and material you want
>>104558179I think that if she had the money to spend on frivolities like bespoke clothes she wouldn't need to get it in the first place. In related news, I'd like a job too, please.
>>104558179Sure, there are more options but unless I was willing to pay $70 for a shirt they were all either made for people with no breasts or so see through that they were barely there. Similarly priced shirts for men didn't have those issues. I went to about 10 stores and all of them were the same in that regard.I'm not serious about it, at least not right now because this is a temporary thing until I can find a real job.
>>104558276My bad, I was talking in a general sense. Still, see-through dress shirts aren't exactly the norm. I get the complaint though, especially when it comes to women. I don't get the appeal of clothing that reveals what is underneath (except it's the purpose to show your bra)
>>104557524I don't blame anyone, just noticed the lull and wanted to change that. At the same time I saw several lists that the cheapest thing was $30 and nothing /co/ related so I can understand why people haven't been gifting.
>>104558315Maybe it's not a valid question but if you're not serious about the job, why didn't you get a shirt for men instead? There are different types of cuts, of which one should have definitely suited you well AND you could have saved money at the same time
>>104558362Is not that easy, shirts for men are designed for broad backs, also are a bit more loose, women shirts are designed to fit the silhouette
>>104558362I've tried that before, but I find that most men's shirts aren't wide enough around the hips/thighs to fit me comfortably. There might be some that are, but I don't know where to look for those.
>>104558429Not exactly true. At least here in Germany (I guess in the rest of the world too), you also have slim fit and body fit dress shirts. I have a hard time putting on slim fit shirts and dress shirts because I'm pretty muscular. Slim fit shirts sometimes seem to only be for people who are narrow-shouldered as hell. Regular fit shirts don't fit me because those are usually designed for people with bellies
>>104551891Stream is online!
>>104558361what do they have on those lists lol
>>104558459That's normal though because men sizes and cuts are all over the place. As I have stated before, it's a mess finding well-fitting onesI don't know where you live but here in Germany, you can get tailored dress shirts for like 40€. People aren't used to doing that but it can often be cheaper than buying regular shirts
>>104558466Oh yeah there's a lot of types but if you are in a hurry you can't do exactly research, so going for something you know is better, like if i had to get a shirt now i'd go get something i know, if i had more time then i'd try more like i do with jeans, because i'm a manlet
What the literal fuck? I was just banned for pic related even though that wasn't my post and I have literally never posted on /int/ in my life. Is this normal?
>>104558556Have you been using your dataplan? That happens sometimes, your provider gets range-banned or something and suddenly you can't post because of something someone else did.
>>104558538Man, I have huge issues with jeans too. The lengths NEVER match up for some reason, no matter what size I take. The width rarely fits too because the quality control for jeans sucks. Once I find decent jeans, they get wider after one or two months for some stupid reason. Maybe it's just the bad material that stretches after a while
>>104558523It seems to be much more expensive here, but I'll probably have to look into it once I have to start looking for a more serious job.
>>104558596Regular wi-fi connection. Really weird... but I guess the board fucks up from time to time because I remember posting one pic and 4chan uploading a pic I didn't even have on my drive years ago
>>104558615I think that can happen when two pics are uploaded at the EXACT same moment.
>>104558556Roommates? I've had the house network banned for a roommate posting some Tulsa Doom threads on /tg/
>>104558645Nope. I'm the only person using the wi-fi. Could be what the anon above said (two people from Germany posted at the same time). At least it was only a short ban. What I don't get is how the word 'sexy' qualifies as a ban when far worse things are posted on /int/ (I just checked)
>>104558679It's probably the picture that got him banned.
>>104558679I don't think it's the word, I think it's the image it shows as a broken jpg. From what I can make out the warning text even says posting spoilered pornography

Even if you can't, it's just good to have others around here to keep the spirit alive.>>104555242Now when you say you want to try something with cream cheese, what are you thinking of making? Super curious, I love baking, especially at this time of the year. Made some pumpkin apple scones the other day actually, still have a ton of apples to use up.
>>104555165I love this issue.
>>104559552Great, now I'm reading this entire post in Burl Ives' voice
>>104559836What can I say, I love the old Rankin Bass specials. They're my favorite to rewatch each year.
>>104559552I'm thinking pumpkin chocolate muffins that are frosted and sort of look like pic related but simpler (since I'm more of a DC boy, probably logos, like the WW, Flash, Superman, Bat logos, etc., versus head shots). I just don't like butter frosting. >>104558556Yeah I got an IP range ban, but it specifically said that. Your's looks like a standard IP ban, which is usually posted to that IP. Since they do have a policy of storing IPs and that can reflect the length of future bans and other BS, it might be worth it for you to do something about bringing it up to a janitor or mod.>>104556605Not that anon but I liked it watching it earlier. It's nice to hear some animation that isn't some of the same old voice actors.>>104556953>>104557787>>104558315I had the same situation - my neighbor introduced me to local thrift store where I could find a $40-60 dress shirt for $5-6. And you could have gotten away with a man's dress shirt, I've see that commonly with servers.
>>104555247Great to see. Yeah, I like the art on this deluxe versus the art they used for the original collection from a decade ago, which is the way I first read. I've now only got it in digital, both the floppies and that one.
>>104560113>Not that anon but I liked it watching it earlier. It's nice to hear some animation that isn't some of the same old voice actors. That's good to hear. Out of curiosity what did you think of it?
>>104560135It was a nice simple story. I have a fondness for 2D animation and I'm one of these people that likes both but still also wants to see some of the older things which, while they could use room for improvement technique-wise, for example, still hold up well. It was a decent imaginative story and it was also family friendly. I have nieces and nephews who live out of town so having something I can send it to them as a link is also a great option.
does 30 days of Night count as a Christmas movie
>>104541940I just finished my entry, but I'm not gonna post it until the very end.
>>104557176>drop in giftingSo is that a common concern traditionally? I mean, I know a handful of people have gifted more than a few times and there's still time left in the month or is it trying to get the gifts out well before the 25th? Also, I was wondering - for the ungifted anons, even if it's not from Amazon, would a Game Stop gift card count for those who would want and could use that? Because I could offer one or two of those as well (and should I mention my iTunes offer of digital media again)? >>104555376>meanie poopooheadsSorry - and I'm actually cognizant of the proper etiquette, I was rushing out when I sent that and wouldn't have been able to wait for you to finish, but I also wasn't really paying attention due to my rush -- plus its raining which means getting ready to be running out on foot took more preparation and planning, so I was doubly distracted.
Scooby-A-Thon is closed for the night!Stream will be up again on Saturday.1:30pm EST - 5 more episodes of Goranger!7:30pm EST - 7 episodes of Mystery Inc.See you then!
>>104560411I can't remember, but it doesn't take place at Christmas does it?Like, if a movie takes place during Christmas, than it counts in my book; just because it's not dealing directly with Christmas doesn't make it any less of a Christmas story.
>>104560805I actually don't remember but it had cool looking blood in the snow scenes and that should count as honorary Christmas for the aesthetic alone
>>104560847Eh. Winter movie, sure, but Christmas, I don't think so; because that opens things like The Thing to be a Christmas movie because of snow, y'know?

>>104561175That side of gifting is up to the anons. The only secure way of doing it is making a throw away email and post it allowing people to volunteer to email you their information to have it mailed to them. I've done in previous years with some SHIELD ID badges I make.

>>104554418Faiz is good.>>104554490Kabuto train wrecks half way through. It's a shame because it's so good at the start. Tendou is one of the best riders with a good story to tell. The heroine ending up sick and being unable to work left them with very few ways to tell that story. Kamen Rider will often have a bad second half but Kabuto switches it's entire tone because of it. The movies a fun ride.
So PUERTO RICAN anon with the initials JR from the very first thread Thanksgiving weekend, with this wishlist: C9GMXSMBZ145 who said you haven't been to 4chan on the regular since post Maria:https://boards.fireden.net/co/thread/104307734/#104319600Amazon is telling me that your gift is >"Undeliverable - Suite or Apartment number is missing" It's being delivered by UPS and it went out for delivery to Ponce from their Carolina facility (?) although they keep also referencing a 'carrier facility' in Ponce on the tracking they are showing me. Amazon wants me to 'correct/update' the address in order to deliver it, but you can probably call UPS and just give them the info or go to the UPS location with your name and ID, as with the UK anon above, I can give you the order no. I'd be uncomfortable putting the tracking ID number on line so if you have WhatsAp, I can give that to you via SMS. I even think just a regular wireless call (at least from me to you) via T-Mobile would be free.Just let me hear from you. Otherwise, UPS will end up returning the order, AFAIK.
>>104557176I got that Complete Visual History book for Ghostbusters from the Barnes & Noble bargain section and it's awesome. A few weeks later, my brother-in-law sent me the TMNT one too and it's pretty nice too.

>>104561258They can also make burner emails for me to send them the card because I can do a PDF of a paper card with a bar code they can print out and take to a store (or enter the key on line on GS web site). So doing that would let two of the ungifted anons transition to gifted, or should I just do it for fun?

Having left work half way through the day yesterday due to all our systems being down I am now at work half an hour early and the system is still down.Happy Friday everyone. . .
