What is the best food at 7-eleven japan?
>>
>>13304993
chink pussy
>>
salmon rice balls
>>
>>13304993
Jamaican beef patties.
>>
>>13304993
Seven Ereven
>>
>>13304993
Right now? The chicken burger. The ajitamago onigiri. The oden. The fried salmon sandwich. And finally, the cheese nikuman.

>13304997

No (you) for you. Fucking retards. Japanese 7/11 is OBJECTIVELY better quality. It is managed completely differently for a completely different market. It is no only Japanese, but Korean and Taiwanese 7/11 which are markedly superior to their western counterparts. But you don't care do you? You are such a fucking pathetic waste of space your entire fucking persona is hating Japan. Why? Because you, in your unbelievable patheticness thought the only people worse than you were weebs. Too bad, You psychotic. insufferable, retarded pieces of trash have proven yourselves to be the WORST posters on this entire website. Fuck you.
>>
>>13304993
The buns are not so bad, too sweet.
instant noodles are well instant noodles.
Milk is full fat, too creamy.
They also do pre-packaged sandwiches which are hit and miss.
>>
>>13305201
Stfu kensama
>>
why do weeaboos obsess over convenience store food?
>>
>>13305201
You’ll never be Japanese
>>
>>13305201
This reads like one of those pump rants from Barkley Gaiden
>>
>>13305201
Don't forget the egg salad.
>>
>>13305222
Probably because its similar but foreign and also easily accessible if they actually visited the country
>>
>>13305222
Convenience stores in japan are more like grocery stores for people who live alone. It won't have stuff like fresh fruit or meat, but it has everything you need.
>>
>>13305201
Depends on the western 7-11 (which were originally franchised out, so some stores were better than others).
I reckon that they'll all mostly be Japanese owned corporate soon, because the nips are attempting to squeeze out even more money from the owners forcing them to sell.
>>
>>13305222
Convenience store is like a euphemism for crap here, over there you can get better stuff
>>
>>13305284
>Convenience stores in japan are more like grocery stores for people who live alone
This is kind of like the convenience stores in semi rural, or harder to travel more isolated areas like mountain towns. You can even get fresh meat from them.
>>
lawson > family mart > 7/11

As the same. Apologies.

>>
family mart > lawson = 7-11
>>
are the heatable meals (the refrigerated ones in plastic bowls, not frozen sealed bags) actually fresh each day?
>>
>>13305300
you might be able to get better stuff but it's still a euphemism for crap in japan too
>>
>>13304993
They have some okay premade noodle stuff. I would not recommend the curry, you can just go somewhere else for a better quality and more veggie/meat filled place for the same price or a bit extra. The sandwiches and onigiri are always good. Then the fried chicken and buns are good.
>>
>>13305542
They are fresh in the since that they are shipped to the location. Stuff in the hot food section are cooked in the store, for the most part. There is a video or article that details the process of the premade food and the turn around rate.
>>
>>13304993
Pans, maybe hamburg bentos. Puddings and cakes are meh

>>13305222
I don't get it either. Westerners have too much fantasy about "Japanese" food. They can be delicious (thanks to deep fried cooking) but holy shit these stuff arent healthy
>>
>>13305755
It fills you up and it is cheap? Been to Family Marts and Lawsons in Japan, there's oden, sandwiches, fried chicken, sausage, potato croquettes etc. Similar with convenience stores, they have microwave ovens, hot water dispensers so you have access to hot food any time. Healthy food isn't a major concern when travelling overseas.
Like not eating fast food when at some rural airport and the flight is in 1 hour, don't be too picky. Or not eating at petrol stations stores even though they are the only place with food for another 2 hour drive.
>>
>>13305791
There are better food to eat if you travel. If you live there then just buy a bento in a super market. You get more for cheaper.
>>
Onigiri rice balls are fun to try.
>>
>>13305791
You can get decent sized bags of salad there for 100yen, that's enough to partially offset the unhealthiness of the ramen or fried rice cup
>>
Unironically the ATM.
You can get fast cash there with a US account with minimal fees. Which is great since Japan is a cash culture and very few establishments accept credit cards at all, outside of bigger stores.

They really bailed me out when I was running low on bills and no bank could assist.

Their manju buns are pretty good too.
>>
>>13305808
I wouldn't go out of my way to try it but I won't turn my nose up at it either. It is literally just convenient food that is hot. Foreigners would like food they are familiar with (see the 7-11 and McDonald's overseas always packed near travelers?), so I don't blame them for going for a familiar place.
Can't expect them to know the ins and outs of the city they are spending less than a week in. Personal opinion here, I think they just like fried food and aren't too open to bento boxes with raw sashimi over them. They would probably like a tonkatsu over the rice than raw fish. Some travel with family and have picky eaters amongst them (boomers who only want fried chicken, steak & fries etc.) who never try local food.
>>
>>13305829
Full transparency here, I would never buy a salad by choice unless it was served to me by my host. Also the issue of not trusting others to wash my vegetables before putting it in the salad etc.
But yes, that is a option for the health-conscious or vegetarians. I'd skip the cup ramen as well.
>>
>>13304997
>>13305180
Both of you were right and here are your (You)s. 7-11 food is shit, even in Japan. Worse, it’s not even cheap shit. Even shit like McDonalds is better quality than 7-11 “food.”

unironically 7/11 in thailand is the best. less than $1 usd and you get a giant big gulp of thai milk tea (the orange one) from a dispenser. im from canada so all 7/11 has here is those piss slurpees and soda pop from dispensers. i hate how sugary everything we have offered commonly here is no wonder north america is so fucking /fat/.
>>
>>13306209
You should stay in Thailand since you're only able to source your food from conversation stores, and don't have the brain power to not make yourself fat.
>>
>>13306209
Thailand has way better food for way cheaper anywhere else. I can’t imagine wasting my time eating 7-11 trash when I could get a real pad thai.
>>
>>13305277
dubs of truth, the egg salad sandwiches are great
>>
>>13306237
>convenience stores
>>
>>13305870
you are being dishonest by framing it as though mcdonalds in japan is the same as mcdonalds in america
it's an entirely different quality product
and the 7-11 food in japan is comparable to any quick serve restaurant
>>
>>13306308
7-11 in Japan is comparable to Terrible Herbst in Las Vegas.
>>
>>13306308
Mcdonalds in Japan is better than 7-11 in Japan. To compare it to US food, Japanese 7-11 is like vending machine food. It’s trash and overpriced.
>>
>>13306334
Or the nicer 7-11 in the nice parts of town.
>>
>>13306336
bruh a sandwich costs under $3 how is that overpriced? especially compared to usa 7-11 where a comperable sandwich is $4.75 or more
and I've never seen a vending machine that fries food on the spot with a deep fryer
>>
>>13306351
The sandwiches there are the absolute worst thing you can get.
>shitty white bread
>lowest tier slices of processed ham, and they only give you like one slice so thin you can see through it
>half a generic brand kraft single
After one bite, the rest is just fucking bread. Complete waste of money. Go buy real food.
>>
>>13306359
>shitty white bread
slow your roll there chief, if you don't like the white bread then there's nothing else to talk about here
clearly we are too far apart on this issue
>>
>>13306398
>if you don’t like poor quality, cheap “food” that at best has no taste, then we can’t talk
I just find it funny you go to Japan and spend all your time in your hotel room eating garbage you got from a 7-11 in your hotel telling yourself it is good when you could step outside and get better shit for way less. Example: you praised the frozen garbage they deep fry (in oil that has never been changed) at 7-11 when one step outside you can buy good street food that isn’t frozen for less, and actually enjoy what you eat.

the katsu-don, hands down

>trips to 7/11 become a normal, daily or twice-daily thing
>live in the West now
>"""convenience""" stores are 30min+ drive away
>they dont have anything worth buying, just junk food n snacks overpriced at a 400% mark-up (fuck off, i'm not paying $7 for a bag of doritos)
>mfw I miss just going to the combini to get a coupla cans of Chu-hai before heading to the beach
i miss it so much bros
>>
>>13305334
lawson is shit but the only thing that keeps them relevent is their fried chicken is the best.
family mart sometimes have a selection of craft beers but that's about it.
overall 7/11's the best though, they have a good variety, cheapest prices and best bentos.
>>
I'm convinced everyone obsessed with 7/11 in Japan is an American that only ever goes to Circle K in the states. They'd fucking kill themselves if they ever went to England and realized all the same shit is in your average Boots or whatever
>>
>>13306308
The only differences between Mcdicks in japan vs America is a couple teriyaki/shrimp burgers and their shitty fries.

Also do American restaurants actually only serve food without serving sex?

Egg salad sandwich.

The already prepared foods and some of their exclusive cup ramens

Nah, Japanese Mcdonalds have better service and the food looks like actual food because they don’t have blacks working there.

*nip
If you're going to be racist, atleast do it right.
>>
>>13308414
>nip
>racist
The zipper heads call their own country Nippon, so how could shortening it be racist when Nippon is a country, and NOT a race of human beings?
>>
>>13308495
Its as politically incorrect as "zipperhead" or "gook"
>>
>>13308503
No it's as politically incorrect as calling Canadians "Cana", or Americans "Ameri", or the spics "Mexi".
>>
>>13308513
That's just stupid, not racist.
Like a 3rd grader came up with it.
>>
>>13308522
You're just deflecting, and attempting to attack me on a personal level, because the logic is sound.
>>
>>13308539
no im not. If you feel offended, then maybe its because you are insecure. Not surprising, since you unironically use racist terms like "chink" and "zipperhead"
>>
>>13306714
Japanese society is built up to convenience its citizens.
In America, its the opposite. Everything is so spread out and far apart from each other.
>i miss it so much bros
Go back?
>>
>>13308542
I don't feel offended. Was just letting you know that I understand why you tried a bitch move.
>>
>>13308577
better to be a "bitch" than a insecure racist
>>
>>13308584
You're typing nonsense tranny. Are you okay?
>>
>>13308564
Personally prefer having things spread out instead of all crammed together in the same overcrowded spot. Driving five minutes to a store is a small price to pay for not having to walk around crotch to ass with every human being, or being able to sit down in a restaurant and not be elbow to elbow on a rail thin bench, made only worse if you happen to be left handed.
>>
>>13308602
>Are you okay?
Better than ever now that I have all your (you)'s
>>
>>13308617
Now you have a fun story to tell all the other trannies when you're all treating together tending to your fake vaginas to make sure that your organs don't slip out from them.
>>
Why do they claim that
>Nip (Nippon)
>Jap (Japan)
are slurs? Is it revenge for having to surrender ww2 where they pretend to claim that everything offends them?
>>
>>13308642
fucking lol
>>
>>13304997
Based. Here’s my 4chan upvote
>>
>>13308676
Because that’s how they were used, as slurs, so they became known as such.
>>
>>13308698

Lawson's Dairy > 7-11
>>
>>13308564
it's a catch 22.
i have a job/housing situation where I can live there as long as I want and have 2 jobs for as long as i want them.
but Japan's only good when you're a single white male, or when you're dating a JP girl and/or playing the scene.
It's not where you want to get married and have kids. Shit's a trap.

So i've had to make do by returning to the West but just doing a trip there twice a year. Mostly spend the trips just catching up with old friends, hitting izakayas and doing drunk combini runs in between drinking in public.
>>
>>13308709
It became a slur because it was always used like "fuck those nips" or "slap a jap" or with racist caricatures attached. It was basically never used positively or even neutrally, always used as an insult.
>>
>>13308609
Well, I certainly don't.

Whenever I want some genuine japanese ramen,or anything that's not mexican food, I have to jump on an interstate and drive for 40 minutes to the next town over.
In japan, it would literally just be a 5 min walk.
>>
>>13304993
I had eice triangles with spices and some sprt of fried chicken it was really delicious
>>
>>13306709
I had a katsu curry from 7/11 and since they heat it up in a microwave, the crumbs were all soggy and the meat was dry and chewy, basically exactly what you would expect from microwaved chicken. Not sure how the katsudon would be any better
>>
>>13310394
katsudons are by design soggy. after the frying process it gets simmered in soy sauce and eggs
>>
>>13310394
yeah the katsu curry at combinis are mediocre at best, much better to make em yourself and usually cheaper.
katsudon is like the other guy said, crumbs are supposed to be soggy anyway, and japs usually top off with extra cheese, mayo or hot sauce.
>>
>>13304993
egg salad sandwiches hands down. Lawsons is better bro.
>>
>>13305201
Only reason 7/11 is bad in the states is because franchisee Punjabis and Saudis don't care about day to day management when they own 15 stores.
>>
that's where the hikikomoris go to feed at night when it's late and a much lower chance of actually running into anyone
>>
>>13308406
Okay weeabo.
>>
>>13309815
It became an insult, because everything is an insult to the Japanese.
