tims preground in my french press because I'm lazy, it's disgusting
>>12464568Can't be worse than this shit. Smells like generic "dark" and just tastes really bitter. Not picking up anything. You know how you can get those "Fruit flavour" sweets and candies? This is the "Fruit" flavour of shit coffee.I'm going to the pool to forget about this.
Is there any way to make my brewed coffee "thicker"? I want to see if I can get the consistency of maple syrup without diluting the flavor. Would gelatin work?
>>12465177don't do this unless youre baking something
>>12465177Try a moka pot. It brews richer coffee since there is now coffee particles in it.
I think coffee is helping with my weed withdrawal. About to brew another 6 cups and work on indie game dev.
Everytime I drink coffee, I want to shit. What do?
For me, instant Folger's seems to be a bit more about the new York NY and the other coffee or any attachments are not the way to be able to see if we have any questions.

>>12471712>strongStrength comes from the brew ratio. When a company says strong they mean how overroasted their coffee is.
>>12470770is that a bowl of mashed pineapple?
>>12471712With k**rig you should only be using the smallest cup size option. The amount of coffee never changes, all the larger sizes do is dilute more. Or just stop being a k-cuck and get a drip machine

hey /ck/ I've done coldbrew once before and really loved it.Only problem now is I have a tiny ass apartment with a small fridge and almost no storage. What's the most space-effective and least messy way to do cold brew? I can fit maybe 3x 1 gallon jugs in the fridge
>>12483736Get the Mason jar quart kit off Amazon. Can't go wrong with metal and glass.
>>12483610It's better than podshit. Even if it will never match fresh ground, it serves its purpose well and there's no reason to hate it.
>>12483767looks like there are a bunch of good options at the $20 range, thanks anoncold brew might be a meme but it really helps reduce the acid stomach I get from normal coffee, and I'm so done with wasting $ at coffee shopscheers
>>12483780Cold brew is not at all a meme, it's the best use for beans once they start to stale and it packs a caffeine punch. Only ordering single origin espresso shots, and nothing else, from cafes is patrician tier.
>>12483791I kinda meant meme in the sense of people being way too into it - but it's true it does have a lot of benefits.Just moved so I have no cookware and have been buying normal coffee everyday.I can appreciate buying some fancy coffee as a treat, but for everyday I need to do my own and those kits look perfect. Thanks again, and may your coffee be smooth and flavorful

>>12483610>thoughts on instant coffee? The latinos at my job keep this in a locker and sometimes bring it out in the morning to share. They put agave in it without any creamer, and I don’t know why but holy FUCK it’s good. I’ve been meaning to order some for myself off Amazon.

>>12489472The coffee they buy at my workplace is fucking terrible. It tastes like dirt with a little acrid burnt coffee mixed in. It's worth way more than the 3¢ I spend on a my preground stuff from Costco to have a cup of coffee that isn't fucking awful.

Starbucks espresso supermarket coffee
>>12464251Maxwell House, black, with raw cacao powder.
Can anyone help me up my coffee game? I usually just do Maxwell coffee in a French press every morning but every now and then I try something new when I go to a coffee shop with colleagues for their bullshit productivity meetingsI like the taste of other coffee but don't know what it is. I can't even describe the type of coffee I like, someone recommend me some stuff.I really like the Kirkland bold coffee Keurig cups and Folgers Black Silk. Maxwell is ok, I bought cause it was cheap. Usually drink them black, hot or cold
>>12496891Literally just buy any fresh coffee, you can't possibly get worse than folgers k-cups
>>12496891Buy a cheap bean grinder and try to find a shop in your area that roasts beans fresh. Buy them whole and grind what you need each morning. If there arent any roasters in your town just buy whole beans from a supermarket. Every brand you listed only makes pisswater and it isnt worth drinking.

Fresh baked cookies with fresh coffee. Ultimate kino.
Getting married next year, and the old lady is putting together a wedding registry. As she was bugging me for ideas, I figured I might get into Chemex, since it only needs a good temp.-controlled kettle, a food scale, and a good grinder. Per Serious Eats, I was going to get the Baratza Virtuoso+ — which looks to be consistent and durable, with a lowest setting that's very fine. The missus said that it would be too expensive, since some of the guests are not very wealthy (though her aunts and uncles are loaded). With this in mind, I was wondering if y'all had a manual burr grinder you'd recommend. All I am really looking for is consistency in the finer grinds. Ideally, the finest grind would be fine enough to also make Turkish coffee, but pourovers are the main focus. Portability (within reason) and effort exerted are not concerns at all, as it's going to live in the kitchen and I welcome a good sweat.
>>12500387Just get the encore instead it's like half the price. Also think, are you really about to commit to learning how to do a proper pourover and then do that every single morning? Is your wife willing to do that?
>>12500743>are you really about to commit to learning how to do a proper pourover and then do that every single morning? Is your wife willing to do that?We have prescriptions for legal speed, so we don't drink coffee daily. I like kitchen rituals and would happily do the work for coffee. But is a "proper pourover" really so difficult? I thought it was just:>weigh beans>grind beans>heat water to a specific temp>wet filter>put beans in filter>pour water over beansHow much more complex could it be? It's not like we're looking to win the WBC.
>>12500783I mean I'm not trying to make it seem like it's hard, but it's definitely more involved than just pouring all your water over the grounds. There's like, circles and stages and timing and stuff.
Never managed to do better than boil coffee with pic related. An Italian friend told me how to actually use it. Ambrosia. I ascended.
>>12500800Any sources you recommend? Just been reading the coffee guy who writes for Serious Eats.
>>12500806based moka chad.
>>12500826I think Chris baca has a tutorial. Again it's not difficult but you're gonna be standing over your chemex at least 5 mins every time you brew. You always start with a bloom, then typically pour in 50g increments, or divide your water into 3-4 pour stages at set time intervals. I mean you don't have to do all this but with pourover the advantage comes from learning technique to draw out flavors from the coffee, you start to learn what you like from certain coffees and how to accentuate that the best or else you might as well just buy a drip machine.
>>12495143pls help guys
