I just add a tiny bit of oil and salt. Speaking of which I need a new salt grinder. My friends and family say I'm weird. But it tastes so good... How can it be wrong?

You can adjust the coarseness of the grind to suit your dish, that's about it. It's not like spices where freshly ground tastes better.

Not too weird, though most people would eat that with some kind of other food. Maybe cook those onions longer till they caramelize and smear them on a toasted baguette with some Cambert or Brie.

I know you’re memeing but way before incels where a thing in the public lexicon my family used to tell stories about how my great grandmother liked to eat Vidalia onions raw. She’d just peel the skins off and go to town like it was an apple. She was an eccentric old lady who grew up as a farmer in North Carolina.
