Let's discuss Korean lolita brands, events and coords.
>>10225132>>10225152>>10225153>>10225155>>10225156Why are they all wearing the same lipstick?
Does amyone have list of Korean brands and models to follow? I'm Korean myself so I find it really inspiring to find them!So far I know of Baroque and Lief (not counting Haenuli since she retired) and I follow bradymary on IG and Twitter.
>>10225128Wow. I had never heard of this brand. I am in love! Bless this thread.
>>10225210That's not a comm, it's from an event with Misako
>>10225197>never heard of this brandThought the same at first, but it's just a small pop-up shop in a store with said name. Look at the MMM flyer on the left rack.
I really want something from Cruel Arcadia somedayAnd whatever the fuck ever happened to Cloud Chamber?
>>10225242Oh wow, thank you for introducing me to Cruel Arcadia.I looked through their past designs and almost everything is perfect. Can’t wait to see what the release next...
Are there any brolitas in Korea?
>>10225276no, they don't use that term. they're just male lolitas.
>>10225127Any brick and mortar shops for lolita? I know Lief has a shop in Seoul, are there any others?
>>10225174Korean women almost always wear that kind of bright red lipstick.
>>10225137Genuinely shocked at how many girls here are overweight. I guess Koreans don't have those naturally skinny genes that Japanese and Chinese girls do? You rarely see overweight lolitas in those comms...
>>10225486there is a guy in the photo
>>10225851I'm not sure but it reminds me of Meta
>>10225486Lolita in Korea is even more niche. You want skinny girls, you can look at K-pop.
Why does this thread exist? Lolita has nothing to do with Korea. Can we just make "lolita in [any country]" threads? You're just obsessed with worshipping asians - even if they're fat and ugly itas.
Speaking of Korean Lolitas, does anyone know of any good Korean shopping services?
I forgot I made this thread lol
>>10232145Because they have different events and brands from us. I also sometimes make threads for Western indie and travelling in Europe for lolitas. Some states and countries actually have their own regular thread here, I guess you didn't notice because you just came here to troll.
>>10232152I have never used any, I but Korean brand through Atelier Pierrot because they give a tax discount and mark down your parcel.
>>10225486It's not that Japanese and Chinese girls come skinnier by default, it's that the health concerns for Asians for being fat are way more severe than most everyone else. The heart conditions involved especially. So, it's more a mandatory thing, Japanese govt is good about public health propaganda, contributes to a bias against heavy folks as a side effect, so there's that.
>>10232562They eat toxic fish
>>10232570You breathe toxic air.
>>10232571My government is working on that.
>>10225242I HAVE A MIGHTY NEEDThat lace detailing and grey colour way
>>10232596If you're in America I can guarantee that. They Are working on the air. They're working on making it more lethal.
>>10232848I'm obviously not
>>10225486there are chubby Japanese and Chinese lolitas too, they just shop a ton or you just never notice them.Korean people sometimes just have very round faces that make them look chubby while they’re extrenely thin.
>>10232870These girls have big bodies, not just faces. And there are a ton of them, just like in American comms, unlike other Asian comms where there *might* rarely be one or two. I just googled for a bit and apparently Korea has had a major rise in obesity rates over the past few years. Very weird.
>>10233245It's not that weird. Their main, traditional food are all calorie-rich carbs. Rice, bibimbap, tteokbokki, even the pancakes have rice flour in them and their noodles all have different types of carbs in them, if not rice/some kind of wheat then some kind of tubers. This kind of food is good for manual labourers and farmers, but not so great for new generation of office workers, who still eat the same traditional foods because it's cheap and tasty and every ajuma around the corner seems to have a stall or is selling something tasty to munch on while you work. Add to that killer working hours with no time for exercise and you'd naturally get more than a few fatties along the way.
>>10233316That, and I’d say the rise or kpop and general strict enforcement of beauty standarts lately. You know how the more you diet the more you want food because you’re a living being that is programmed this way? A A large chunk of overweight folks are exactly that because of the compulsive eating disorder they picked up with dieting. Also it’s fully understandable for overweight people to pick up Lolita since they tend to look for alternative fashions because the norm is fashion has an amphasis on body and thinness.
>>10233332Damn, that's actually rather depressing. >strive for beauty>gain eating disorder>end up ugly and sadI'm pretty sure I'd rather just be happy and chubby
>>10233446>happy and chubbyme, right nownothing wrong with a few pounds if you feel good!the only ones who will rail against this kind of statement so hard are the ones who could not allow that for themselves. illness is tough, and I admit it's hard to be compassionate when affected folks turn their issues on others. If you love yourself, you'll be better at loving others
>>10233536Right now I'm just maintining by 23 bmi cause that's where I feel most comfortable. Still chubby for Jfashion standards, but I'm almost 30 and goddamn it, it's easy to maintain for me with minimal exercise. I'm done trying to get the 19-20 bmi range I coveted in my youth.
you guys ready for halloween?
>>10235734I love this. How is Lief's fit/quality on average?
>>10235736How can I purchase this if I don't have Facebook? Do I just have to wait for it to pop up second hand?
>>10236123I believe they do have a website or a form in which you can preorder it.
>>10225129sauce on this dress?
>>10236123Through Atelier Pierrot
>>10236563thank you so much!!
Has Lief ever come to Europe? I've never bought anything from them because I'd like to see it in person first. It would be nice if they could come to the Netherlands because the brand name is Dutch.
>>10241722Sora (the designer) has family living in the Netherlands. That is why her brandname is Dutch, she must have liked the word.As for the quality, it's very good. I'd love it if Lief came to the Netherlands/Europe too.
>>10225128Sauce on the red OP on the mannequin? I looked up Atelier AN but it yielded no results and it seems these are all items from different brands anyway.
>>10241931Idk but it's from the twitter of lolita day (OPs pic)
Are these brands made in Korea? I'm really unfamiliar with their laws and culture towards labour and environment.
>>10241938I was able to find the source of the picture but sadly they didn't mention any brands or anything.
>>10241931>>10241938>>10241964In case anyone else wants to know, I did some digging and it looks like it's from Baroque. They have a bunch of pictures of Misako wearing a pink version of it.
>>10235735I have this and was thinking of selling it but with the re-release I guess it's not the right time. I have no idea how much it goes for anyway.
Can anyone comment on the quality of Baroque, and tell me where it's made?
>>10243353I missed the pre-orders and I really want it
How do you search for LIEF secondhand? I only find unrelated shit
