>>10195741For anon last thread who loved the blue JetJ dress - I found a coord photo with detail shots!
Any advice on how not to look like I escaped from a mormon commune while wearing classic? I’ve been told I have a very “wholesome and midwestern” appearance, and while I look great in sweet and gothic, whenever I wear classic I just look very religious and confused
>>10195828Without an idea of how you look I’d say maybe try bigger hair/headpieces?
>>10195828Don't be cheap and invest in brand items and good accessories?
>>10195886Thanks, that actually may help a ton. If post a pic but the issue is my face and Id block that out so... yeah.>>10195895Thanks, but nearly everything I own is brand. That’s not really the issue.
>>10195828Wear blush? Or make up in general? Just enough to make it obvious that you are wearing make up on your face.
>>10196048I wear a lot of himekaji, so while I obviously won’t go full gal maybe it would make sense to lean a bit into that?
>>10195719I'm usually not a fan of plaid but there's something about the ruggedness of plaid in contrast with the elegance of the blouse that I find extremely novel. When I saw it was plaid I thought I wouldn't be spending any more money this month. Fuck.
>>10195828Maybe take a look at how brands style their western models? As someone with thin hair who would look like a tired greasy haired ball if I didn't style my hair, I find that giving it volume is very much key to amping my style. In addition to >>10196048, maybe also consider short falsies and more obvious eye makeup. >>10196389I'm highly considering that blouse for under my solid pieces, but I already bought the bordeaux JSK.
Preview of new release by Seraphim. Details coming soon.
>>10196389My big gay frilly heart needs this
>>10196389At first I was pretty sore that the JSK had no type of lace at allBut if you put the blouse and JSK together, you get a frilly piece with subtle laceWell played VM, well played.
>>10197190VM's layering game is on a whole different level desu.>>10196506Buy the blouse so you can coord it with the JSK like in >>10197190. Just a low low price of $500 to fully live out your plaid dreams!
>>10197206I'm both replies, and I'm seriously thinking about it.I never knew those stock photos existed and now I'm happier they do. Moving onto classic jewelry, does anyone have anything like Schwarz Schmetterling? I love their stuff but they seem to have only a few items in stock these days.
>>10197190I hated the blouse and jsk until I saw them together
>>10195741love that bag
>>10198585Ugh, I want this dress so badly. If anyone doesn’t want theirs I’ll buy it.
>>10198695There's one on Yahoo auctions but it's the long oneSERAPHIM セラフィム アイスランドポピーワンピース https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w319416799
>>10198587Are these linen blouses? I'm in love
Anyone else love the dresses without shirring? They make me feel especially small and dainty, especially in summerwear.
>>10198891Shirring looks ugly and the bunching gets uncomfortable when it's hot. I'd much rather brands make sack dresses with waist ties/ribbons if they want to cater to larger sizes.
>>10198891aesthetically yes, they are a blessing for the eye, practically, nope. I need the shirring so my ribs can move around when breathing. >tfw unironically 'big boned'
>>10198880It's an OP from Seraphim!
>>10198891Yes, I feel like they flatter my figure while shirring makes me look "bubbly".
>>10199312This model and weird background doesn't make me want to buy it
>>10198891Unless it's a fitted dress with corset lacing no. I like how shirring helps distribute how fabric bunches up. I'm not about that constant adjusting life and unless I'm wearing a vest or corset (like Excentrique) I always feel like I have to distribute how the fabric sits, especially with a belt or waist ties.
>>10199275Big ribcage checking in. Breathing is nice, so shirring it is.
>>10203453>>10199312the picture makes me feel like i have to defeat the model in battle for the sake of my family
>>10198891I like both. Whatever it takes to make the dress comfortable and well fitting.
>>10198891To be perfectly honest, I don't usually notice except I wore an ill fitting FINT dress the other day with some wonky shirring, and wow, that was an ill fitting dress. I suppose it depends on how well the shirring is in the back. I usually don't mind either I guess.
>>10207614I'm really enjoying the classic revival in Japan desu
I recently pre ordered the new Violet Fane dress, The Charmin Town, but I've never worn classic before, just sweet. Can anyone help in terms of how I could style it? I have a blouse from Lady Sloth ordered (the cotton crop top in ivory) and I have high heeled brown brogues and I'm thinking ivory tights. I'm unsure about the rest especially headwear.
>>10208895Coord help thread might be more helpful >>10194466, especially if you take the effort to feed them a collage or two.Personally I'd just coord the dress sweet rather than buy a whole seperate outfit. The cut is pretty simple and the print is colourful so it looks easy to coord. For headwear you can either match it to your bag+shoes, or it shouldn't be hard to find a matching ribbon to the belt that you can whip into a hair bow or beret pin.
>>1020955590% of lolitas are queer so that applies to it all
>>10209555that's literally why I bought it
Did anyone else get the Afternoon Lady Blouse? I just received mine and it's really translucent. Are there any alternatives to wearing an undershirt?
>>10210505You don't need an undershirt if it's under a jsk but otherwise it's pretty necessary. I recommend Uniqlo airism, most Japanese girls wear them as default under every garment.
>>10199275Big ribcage, wide shoulders and very long legs here. I look like an ageplayer in sack dresses and to this day have never found a dress without shirring that fit my back, so no thanks. But I do agree there's an elegance to a nice fitted dress. One day I will find a solid piece I can alter, even if it will lower resale value.
>>10210509I see. Thanks for the rec!
I can't believe two colors of this sold out already.
>>10210509Seconding the Airism recommendation.I’ve been buying a lot from Uniqlo ever since they opened stores in my city.Their Heattech stuff is nice for winter too
Rosa Bianca is putting up 2 blouses for reservation later today.
>>10216319They look nice, but would it kill them to steam before photographing them?
>>10217519Apparently linen shirts are meant to look wrinkled. Something something looks lived in, adds to the charm or something.

>>10218466OH GOD I'M SO READY FOR THIS.
>>10218475>mfw I actually go back and read the postOh....It looks so pretty, I'm so happy she wore it and took pictures in any case.
>>10218478Eh well, I did word my post pretty vaguely now that I go back and reread it...Anyway, here's the lolibrary link https://lolibrary.org/items/victorian-maiden-victorian-maiden-modern-yukata-purse-obi-decorative-collar
Mary Magdalene is refunding all Faltetto pre-ordershttp://www.marymagdalene.jp/contents/news/20190710.html
>>10218916So they're still alive somewhat!?
>>10218916If I ever become a millionaire I'll make a fuckin fund for them.
>>10218925I swear ever since Victorian Maiden pulled through I’ve been buying from every release, i got that same energy for Mary Magdalene
>>10218928You're a better person than me, anon. I couldn't quite see how that last Sailor OP could fit in my wardrobe so I abstained. I did buy $500 worth of plaid though, so stay tuned for that glory come fall.My somewhat major regret is that I didn't buy any of the Merry Lou OPs from MM when they did the release. I should have gone for the green. I really hope they're ok.
>>10218928There’s one accessory still in stock on the website, buy it
>>10218923It means that they couldn't produce the orders. It probably means they're dying.
>>10218925I would love to see MM do a fund like VM did. One last hurrah.
>>10218916Well this is sad.
>>10218916Not only are they refunding, they're adding more cash back as an apology. I really hope it doesn't bankrupt them. Who knows how many orders they got.
Fujiwara posted some previews of new Innocent World releases. I am in love with the green OP
>>10220798They probably need to release a tea length petticoat if they insist on tea length releases though. The combination of a dress with no lining with a regular petticoat makes for some major lampshade.
>>10220801That collar though!
>>10220805And finally their new Mucha OP. I suspect like the tights we need an SS for it as it is only Japan release.
>>10218916This is so sad, what a gut punch it must be for them. I really hope they can sort out a new production line. I really love MM and it breaks my heart that this has happened to them, it must be so dispiriting.
>>10220806I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to get my hands on this and it kills me inside
>>10213143What did you not like about it? I thought it was pretty cute.
Does anyone know anything about this? I got the photo from here https://twitter.com/manimanium/status/1148505464381956097?s=19
>>10220798oh thank God, I've been so worried! They're my all time favourite brand but I haven't seen anything new from them in a while
