Any styles welcome. Everything jfash and plus size related
Discussion of tips and tricks for plus size girls, clothing finds, plus size friendly brands, favorite chubby coords, etc

>inb4 shit posting
The general consensus in these threads usually goes:
1. People rather see fats dressed cutely/well than dressed like slobs
2. People who feel better about themselves are more likely to succeed at losing weight and being healthy vs those who feel self conscious

>thread may be helpful for those who are fit with naturally large proportions such as large bust, large shoulder width, muscular legs, etc

I'll be posting my resources and favorite finds! Hope its helpful to some people

Violet Fane and Komachi are both great. Komachi are made to fit and stretch well around larger legs, so for fat or muscular girls. I've seen a girl wear Violet Fane tights over an 8month preggo belly and they were apparently still comfy.

I wanted to share a good find I had recently.

I always love pleated skirts but it's hard wearing them. I'm pear shaped so even if I find one that fits the waist (which isnt too difficult for me), they are never long enough and barely cover my ass.

I found this shop and decided to take a chance with them for the custom sizing https://www.etsy.com/shop/AriShaeCosplay

Their stock photos are meh but looking through the reviews people seemed happy and customer photos made them look nicer. They arrived recently and are worth it!
I'm not a seamstress at all so I cant give an indepth review of the sewing. They appear well constructed to me. They even have surged stitching inside which i know uses a different machine. The fabric is not see-through and seems sturdy enough. Fit to the measurements I gave. I did give her a slightly bigger waist inch than my own and I'm glad I did. Because the fabric doesn't have much stretch. If it fit super snug I'm sure itd dig into your stomach.

Anyways here a quick rundown
-order and inch or two more than your actual waist size
-the 20 inch length box pleat skirt was my favorite over the knife pleat skirt.
-if you are looking to order in colors that match a pastel wardrobe I rec the petal pink and lake blue colors (the lake blue swatch looks wack but its color irl is perfect)

I need help trying to figure out how to get a petti to sit right/fit under my skirts. I'm either trying to pull it up and it looks retarded, or pull it down to look better and it still looks retarded. is there anything chubby lolitas do in particular for this issue? I'm currently losing weight and I've lost 20 pounds so far, putting me on the border of overweight/normal for my BMI, but... I'm still a chub with petti woes.
>>
>>10184239
I'm trying to imagine what the exact issue is here. Are you apple or pear shaped? I get my petti to sit on my natural waist but I'm a pear so it's easy.

Is your petti a good size and shape for you? Aurora and ariel does custom sized waists and I got a great petti that doesn't choke my stomach

Ew I bet you dress like shit.

>>
>>10184254
I'm a pear. I guess my petti just isn't right for me. I'm tall and wear old school mainly, and my petti isn't short enough usually (it prett much ends a cm before the skirt] and.. I don't know. the shape is just wrong and annoying and no matter what I do it doesn't look right. I think I'll try to get a new petti soon, the ones I have are 2nd hand.

>>

I myself am gaijin plus size and I thought this was a pretty good list that included people who carry body weight in different places. I consider anything asian plus size to be “too” tall, “too” muscular, “too” chubby, broad shoulders, wide ribcages, etc. with some logical crossover and exemption of very thin lolitas.
I really apologize if I put you or someone you don’t consider plus size on this list, but if it makes you feel any better, I am very picky about the plus size lolitas I follow and put on rec lists.

I havent gone through the list yet but I will personally admit what I find to be plus size in lolita is not the same =/= as what I would consider normal plus size outside of lolita (at least in North America)

To me personally anyone who qualifies for "plus size" lolita is basically anyone that has trouble fitting into mainstream Japanese brands. But because I know anons like to argue about it, I try personally not to post anyone that would be considered too skinny to be plus size.

Sorry just read >>10186615 and I really agree.
>>
Does anyone have any suggestions or instagrams for any other types of jfashion besides lolita? I always think silhouettes from fairy kei, menhera, or decora type styles translate the worst onto plus sized figures and tend to look messy. I would love to see any type of good jfashion that’s not necessarily lolita!

Let's get back on topic. I know that plus size threads will always attract angry ana scum but at least they sometimes have good info.

Let's talk about dresses that actually give good waist to bust proportions. I think a lot of us would benefit from those types of dresses but they seem to be nearly impossible to find in sweet?? Even when the dress looks like it has a waist and full shirring, inevitably it just becomes empire waist on people with larger boobs... I find that I actually look much less plus size when wearing more normie dresses because they account for that fit and proportion.

Are there any AP or Baby dresses that go beyond just "hey it fits and has extra room" for you?
>>
full shirring JSKs with shirred straps are great for busty lolitas who don't want to feel like they're wearing a tent.
>>
>>10186959

>>
>>10186961
I don't think I've ever seen shirred straps? But straps with buttons do wonders for me. Just resewing the button 1-2 inches down takes me from boob loaf city to decent.

Also halter neck jsks are the best. I wish there were more of them!
>>
>>10186961
I hope you mean full back shirring. Full shirring looks awful on plussize people. It makes you look like a rolled roast beef.
>>
>>10186971
>>10186978
Shirring Princess JSK has those very nice straps, but iawtc halter-neck dresses are great for larger busts.

As a plus size girl, anything but sweet unless toned down by not going overboard with tacky food themed accessories out the ass. And wearing a very flattering cut with a-line petti. Cupcake shape petti just makes bigger girls look so much more rounder.

I love seeing chubby lolitas in classic, gothic or traditional styles. I can’t say much for obese girls though. To me they always look bad esp in sweet. Makes them look like ageplay.

God this is my biggest fucking challenge being plus sized lmao

You can get some alright tights at welovecolors
Just plain solid colors or imo the whitexcolor strip tights are cute
https://www.welovecolors.com/shop/plussizedwhitestripedtights.htm

I havent ordered from them yet but there is sockdreams that stocks tights and thigh highs. I wouldnt say everything is lolita ofc but if you keep your eyes open you can find a few items that would be suitable. Ive been eyeing https://www.sockdreams.com/sheer-daisy-tights.html for awhile.

I didnt order from https://www.etsy.com/shop/TejaJamilla for a long time because I'd say the style is more suitable to classic/gothic. But I did realize she makes a clock and key print. Which on the white goes well with Alice in Wonderland inspired coords.

And just my thoughts if they are helpful.
TejaJamilla tights are the best in quality and in print. She does the printing while the tight is stretch, so when you wear them the image isn't horribly distorted. Which is a problem I have with many MANY places that advertise plus size friendly OTKs or tights. Even if they "fit". The image will look fucking horrible stretched out on my chunky leg

Ive also been thinking of making up a few designs and printing them for myself off of artsmoo. If you are familiar with their tights they fit and dont have the bad warped images like I described. So maybe something anons can consider for themselves if they have any artistic abilities
>>
>>10188583
What about komachi? They're literally made for plus size
>>
>>10188583
One thing about TejaJamilla, I bought a pair of tights from them and although I'm not fat, I'm tall, and the listing said they would go up to my height.
I don't know whether she put the wrong size in or something but the crotch stopped literally halfway down my thigh. Not sure whether they stretch better horizontally or I just got a bad one, but I spent £20 on a pair of tights that didn't fit.
>>
>>10189124
tights usually fit me horribly too because I'm tall. it sucks.
>>
>>10189124
I‘m tall and chubby and her tights fit me perfectly and are super comfy and pretty. I even think they would still fit me if I was 20cm taller, so maybe you got a wrong size? I tried looking up what size I got but it’s not in the order confirmation. She was really nice and kept me up to date on my order so maybe you can just ask her what size you need (give her your measurements) and let her know which size you ordered before so you can work something out?
>>
>>10189134
As far as I can remember I did correspond with her, and she did recommend a certain size when I gave her my measurements, which I bought. It straight up didn't fit, which sucked.
What works for one won't always work for another, I guess. I don't even have particularly thick thighs or anything. Just thought I'd give you guys a warning.
>>
>>10189136
Oh that sucks, I hope you find something that works for you!
>>
>>10188607

>>10191545
All it says there is 82cm bust. That seems accurate. Don't even try if you're bigger than that. But the waist was way smaller than I expected. I expected 68 or 70 but its got to be like 62 or something. It's curvy but very small

In general, darker colors are just more flattering on big girls. If you want to do sweet, colorways with darker colors like black or navy are the best option rather than bright pastels.
>>
>>10191586
Thanks but the girl in
>>10189199 looks way bigger than 82 cm bust
>>
>>10192643
nayrt but I think they meant the jsk, not the op. Moitie dresses without any shirring are very small, but they will often release a shirred op that is very forgiving as far as stretch goes. Iron Gate is an example - others are stained glass, silent moon, and cathedral. Then there are dresses like divine cross, ritual, and holy queen.

I can’t speak to iron gate in specific, but the shirred moitie I’ve owned can stretch to 100cm, maybe more.

Lady Sloth. Pic related.

>>10192581
If the neckline of what you're wearing allows for it, I like wearing a high-impact sports bra. Not the soft, flexible ones designed for lounging around or doing yoga, but the ones intended for running that have stronger elasticized fabric good for squishing down the bust area. Some mid-impact sports bras also have cups sewn in, which can prevent boobloaf.

>>
>>10196188

>>
>>10196188
that depends on what kind of "chubby" you are, since cgl has about ten different definitions.
>>
>>10196188
No.
>>10196238
They wouldn’t fit any definition. Chinese M is pretty small
>>
>>10196188
idk about their one size but I have ordered some of their large fit labeled stuff before.
Its hit or miss in that case. I would say they are very stretchy horizontally. But its 50/50 if they will be too short or not. I'm 5'5" so if you're shorter you'll probably have an easier time.

I wish I could share some links but all the tights ive bought that I liked from taobao, the stores are now defunct

>>
>>10201176
Same, anon. I'm not plus size but I always look towards plus size fashion people for outfit ideas because their choices are not as "specific body shape"-ish. Meaning, sometimes with thinner people their outfits are really dependent on having either a nice waist, or nice calves or small upper arms... I notice plus size girls dress in a way that could work across more body types, so it's easier to re-create looks.

Does anyone have any recommendations for places that sell cute plus-size cardigans and cutsews?

I've just been modifying normie cardigans or buying cute cropped cardigans or any with nice detailing. I like modding them and making them my own, but I'd like some cuter ones with designs in the fabric.

I’ve had good luck with Voodoo Vixen

Taking a look, they seem to have all the same cardigans that Modcloth and Unique Vintage are carrying, and I believe around the same price. Not that they're bad, but nothing in stock at the moment that suits the needs of my wardrobe. Thank you though! I may just try to find some cute knit fabric and try to make some stuff.

Dif anon but yeah cardigans are definitely something I struggle to find too. Especially for sweet

I have one super old bodyline bolero thats good. Ofc there is also Maxicimam lovely. Quality is fucking amazing, love their stuff. Though their crappy stock photos are a bit deceiving. All or most of their stuff is still made in Japan

Ive had luck with this taobao store https://happyforever.taobao.com/ but if you're super busty im not sure it'd work out. Im pear shaped and usually between a 90/100cm bust.

Did a quick look at the taobao store. Heres some sort of sweet stuff they have. Make sure to double check sizes
