who is your prefered larp gear seller of choice in your part of the world? who should be avoided at all cost?
>>
>>10103897
I have a rivalry with calimacil and epic armory. One does great blades but flimsy guards while the other does vice versa.
But for garb I have a local shop that gets good gear, even gets Calimacil and epic armory weapons too.
>>
>>10103897
depends, for what?

But I had to abandon calimacil as they raised their prices that is simply unfeasible for this country. So I will only get new ones if I can get it for cheap secondhand from somewhere or just buy one of the several copycat versions

I buy at CelticWebMerchant, but that's mostly because their stuff is affordable, not necessarily because it's good. Their customer service is really good, though.
>>
how do you guys clean used surplus stuff? especially hats and helmets, the kind of stuff that you can't exactly wash. I've been using disinfectant spray everywhere I can get it in the past, but I'm wondering if anyone has any better, easier or more successful ideas
>>
>>10106792
Don't buy surplus in miserable shape that you can't easily fix. I've had to give up several projects because its in such a sorry shape that I can't make it usable again without breaking it.

- If its drenched in moth repellant then I will drench it in the hottest water my tap can produce along with washing machine powder and the scrub the fuck out of it.
- Helmets and similar hardware will be scrubbed in hot water and immediately dried with a piece of cloth to minimize rusting. Leather straps are left to dry for a bit before being treated in grease.
>>
>>10106869
the helmet I just got which prompted me to ask is generally in great shape, I just get very vaguely icky about just starting to wear something someone else has probably heavily sweated in. my main concern is specifically with the inside (pic related), as it's some kind of leather and I don't want to fuck up its structural integrity.
I did the usual antiseptic/disinfectant spray but I feel like I could do slightly better still, as well - any ideas?
>>
>>10107269
>I did the usual antiseptic/disinfectant spray but I feel like I could do slightly better still, as well - any ideas?

You could drown it in a tub of hot water that has a dishwasher tablet mixed in it and let it fry for half an hour. But that could damage the leather.

Though in my opinion you should have accepted the state of surplus that you get for 9,99€ of Polish quality.
>>
>>10107269
50/50 mix white vinegar and distilled water, followed by commercial leather cleaner.
>>
Another update: I just finished putting in the metal eyelets (wrong, I know) and the top fabric. I'm almost ready to put the zip ties in and sew the bias tape around the edges. Then the straps go on. My rabbit chewed my planned cord for the spiral lacing so I have to buy something else.

I do plan to sew over the metal eyelets so it at least looks right. I was thinking of doing it with ribbon to make the eyelets look like roses?
>>
>>10107942
it might be a little late but did you put anything under the eyelets?
>>
>>10107947
What do you mean "under"?
>>
>>10107949
it's not a must have but sometimes, especially if you want to lace it tight and there is a lot of force on the eyelets it could fuck up a little of the look. Like the fabric is pulled way more at the point of the eyelets then between them.
So some people put a long piece of leather or some other half-rigid material on the line of the eyelets, under them (and obviously covered by the fabric) this way the pull from the lace will be more even
>>
>>10107950
Ah. I don't believe stays are meant to be laced tight. I just have huge tits and wanted the reinforcement so the eyelets don't bust on my..... Bust. There are five layers of cotton between the eyelets, and there are boning channels on the purple lines. Should be ok?
>>
>>10107953
probably. I've never made a corset only doublets and such and sometimes this is used there and seen a video about corset making that also used this.
But as I said it wasn't used all the time as far as I know
>>
>>10107953
I'm not sure about historical accuracy but if you have boning on both sides of the eyelets it should be reasonably supportive and help prevent warping from pressure on the eyelets, unless your zip ties are particularly flexible or the boning channels are too loose. Stays aren't usually particularly under pressure though compared to, say, a tightlacing corset, so I imagine you won't have too much trouble with that regardless.

cheers for the tips, I'll give them a shot. @ anon - yeah, like I said, it's generally in great shape, I just don't want to catch Polish war aids by just starting to wear the helmet as-is.

>>10108217
I mean.. generally embroidery is embroidered onto things? glue will never hold on to anything.
what kind of leather - real or fake, soft or hard? is your embroidery some kind of premade patch or are you stitching it in yourself? (bonus - if it's cosplay, why are you asking these things on the larp thread instead of somewhere like stupid questions thread?)
if it's a premade patch like you seem to be making it sound, your options are either sewing or gluing with something more hardcore than a fucking glue stick. do note that if opting for gluing, it will always look like shit and fall apart fast.

>>
>>10108709
>I want to reuse the leather jacket after cosplaying Dragunov,
have you considered neodymium magnets? make the embroidery on some patch of whatever, maybe a little peice of leather that has the same color than your jacket, put a thin metal piece on the backside of it an inside your jacket put a strong but small neodymium magnet. If you pick one that is strong enough it will surely hold it there and afterward you can remove it from the jacket without leaving a mark.
Probably there are other methods but that's what comes to my mind first

Hello, i want a cool IC tent. A tent where my personal guard can guard me while i have conversations with other nobles, or while im working. What is a nice tent, that is easy to transport and a nice price? I want to sit there with around 6-7 ppl at max
>>
>>10109135
What's your budget, approximately?
>>
>>10109231
hmm.. maybe like 500 EUR max?
>>
>>10109291
Did you google medieval tents first?

I think this might be your best bet.
https://battlemerchant.com/Period-Tents/Viking-tents/Saxon-Tent-Jorvik-4-x-6-m-425-gsm-natural-colour::22572.html

Tripple your budget and you got yourself a very impressive tent.
>>
>>10109291
That's tough. Do you need it for play only, or do you need a perfectly wind- and waterproof tent for sleeping in?

If the former, making your own becomes a serious possibility. I'm no expert, but a fairly large A-frame tent seems to be a realistic larger-scale hobby project.

Second-hand buying is always an option, but only ever do that if you can inspect the tent yourself beforehand. Buying a new tent large enough to seat seven people is probably not going to be possible within your budget, but there might be someone in your local circle that's willing to make one for less than what professional stores charge.

There's always the ubiquitous Sahara tent, but it's not the best-looking of tents. If you're able to find something better, do so. If you're going to sleep in it, buy the Deluxe edition. It's a bit uglier, but the fact that it's actually properly resistant to wind and rain more than makes up for it.
>>
>>10109366

ive got a sahara 400 deluxe. but not really a big fan. I just use it as a sleeping tent.
>>
>>10109372
Keep in mind, the larger the tent, the colder it gets. Of course depending on the season, but if you don't larp exclusively in the summer, a tent too large is almost equal to sleeping outside.
>>
>>10109439
In my experience small canvas tents trap a lot of moisture inside. If you get a bigger tent you can always fit a gas burner inside to remove both cold and dampness if needed.

And no, if the temperature outside goes below 0C then you can burn as many candles as you can fit inside a small tent but it will still be freezing. Better to buy a proper arctic sleeping bag at that point.

technically you can use it on bare skin. I did it, you can survive it. But that said at least one layer of anything will make you more comfortable (also it will rust like hell if it is in direct contact with your sweat) so very thin layers of whatevers will be stained as fuck, but that's life.
Some people are like you have to get the thickest gambeson ever under it until you look like a Michelin figure but they are just way too worried that something might touch them.
On the other hand you can put over the mail anything you want even gambesons.
On pic is how a form fitted chainmail looks like and you can deduce that the undergarment isn't extremely thick.

Also you will get pretty warm no matter what, but as long as you don't use too much synthetics there will be no real problem

Thanks Hungarian Bro. I will keep that in mind.

On the subject of tents, I've been spoiled by mountaineer wall tents since i was young. They give a lot of space, practically weatherproof, and if it's cold you start a fire in the stove. I haven't been to a big event but I wonder of anyone would make a stink about a single tent being not as period as the rest. Odds are no one would give a fuck since modern tents are also used but segregated to out of the roleplay area.

People write that kind of stuff for their stuff to be found easier. It's like you'll see 'Steampunk cosplay alternative cyberpunk biker goggles' and such. I suggest only buying weapons from dedicated vendors and such, or checking that kind of stuff beforehand.
Also, if people claim their product is both LARP and SCA-fitting, it might in fact just be neither.

Dammerung should be good AFAIK. A blessing on the U.S.

Yeah, that's basically it. I'm gonna stick to dedicated larping websites from now on.

I asked because I went to the game 0 of Dammerung and wanted to see what others thought of it.

I've been to Dystopia Rising and it was a confusing mishmash of what the fuck am I doing here? Like if you did not go with a group of friends you're fucked.

Dammerung pretty much forces you to join in on events and things, it encourages better RP, and it sticks you with your faction and allows you to develop with them. It seriously is a blessing on the USA scene and I will support it as much as I can. The combat actually feels combat-y and it's the first larp I didn't use a dumb duct tape dildo boffer in either.

My character is an ex-thief Cernish ranger. I would do archery more but... I had no archery stuff of my own and am scared of losing someone else's arrows. I mainly use the shortsword, which is 27" but I'd rather something longer for frontline fighting but I guess I could borrow something lol.

Also that steampunk larp looks like a party
>>
>>10112728
Can you explain this a bit further?

A quick googling just directs me to "good posture will reduce fatigue and improve weightloss" or "your posture will improve if you have a diet that results in weightloss, since excessive weight will degrade your posture" etc.

I'm not fat, I consume veggies and fruit on a daily basis, water will get chunked, during work days I typically land at around 15000 to 20000 steps a day. I do eat junk food and drink soda when I feel like it but its not americany excessive. My neck posture is just a result of me playing to much wow on a crappy chair during my teen years.
>>
>>10112843
'Steampunk Roman Gladiator Samurai' was someone's first PC out there, I'm 400% certain of it

At this point I'm confused too. Got pics of you in kit or of what a "/g/entoman" neck looks like? Thank sounds like physical therapy might be needed or a neckbrace. I'm not a doctor but exercising like running really helped my posture.
>>
So I got this buckler shield from a friend. its brown leather when the rest of my kit is black leather. Question I have is could I bit it with black shoe polish to make it black? It's a great piece but it definitely clashes with the rest of the set.

Not the the ideal pic, also old, but you can notice that I still have a slight "haunching" even when I am straightening up my posture for a picture.

I am working on improving it passively by recognizing whenever I slouch to much and straightening up as much as I can. But the end goal isn't to make chainmail comfortable, I'm dumping that armor type entirely since I have a physically demanding job and don't want to put pressure on my back outside of work.

>>
>>10113150

>>
>>10113167
Ok, i cant tell you what to do but i really think that you waste this cool buckler then. I just dislike black leather.

But if you want to do it, im guessing that the leather is "sealed"(sorry don't know the proper english word). If you paint it whith acrylics and put a flexible top coat on, if you have it even clear latex, im 99% sure that it will hold. But you maybe will get a uneven result while painting, so my tipp is that you use a lot of thin coats, like at least 10. You could als do one thick one but do that at your own risk. Or maybe use special leather paint, but im pretty sure it doesnt hold on sealed leather (at least leather dyes dont)
>>
>>10113179

>>
>>10112958
they're just low key insulting you by hinting that your kit doesn't fit you right because you're a fat whale. ignore them.
>>
>>10113187
IF the leather is vegetable tanned and not chrome tanned then you can either use specifically leather paint that will paint it black surely or just put several layers of linseed oil on it that will make it darker layer by layer and you can go for kind of black too.
>>
>>10113076
Thats a pretty good looking kit. Got any more pics? And if you end up buying plate, don't buy a bunch of cheap shit that looks like shit.
>>
Question.
Do any of the larps that you go to/have went to use formations? You know, boars snouts, pike formations, spearwalls, shieldwalls, that kind of stuff. Since im a reenactor and i really don't know how you larpers handle that kind of stuff.
>>
>>10114830
on Drachenfest there are various degrees and quality of formations. Fortunately I'm in a camp that actually good with it, lot's of polearms, good discipline altogether and our leaders actually know what to do.
>>
>>10114810
Thanks but its actually a rather crappy kit. Lots of cotton articles from mytholon, cheap zinked chain mail shirt that doesn't match my darkened helmet. I'm quite good at making shields though and I've gotten some good rep for my shields, but it doesn't lift up the general quality of that kit.

>And if you end up buying plate, don't buy a bunch of cheap shit that looks like shit

Its gonna be budget though since its for larping. You get more costume points for having a decent handmade wool jacket underneath, and that is what I intend to do. Just gonna get some basic plate chest that is sort of historically accurate and neutral in design so that I can grab some hp points at casual larp campaigns and mix it with several different character designs.
What I had in mind: https://www.epicarmoury.com/metal-works/breastplates/milanese-armour-polished-steel-l/c-290/p-23633/?os=1
I was considering stahlgilde at first but I don't want to deal with ukraine postal services again for such a small order.

I plan on getting a full plate set in the future that is custom made to my measures and design taste, but that will be used for reenactment and such. Currently dreaming about the KA 6.3 kit on http://www.bestarmour.com/armour_6.html
I don't want to use an expensive armor at casual larps where it might get stolen while I shit or have unnecessary wear, while at the same time being at a disadvantage due to foam dick swords favoring light equipment.
>>
>>10113145
How about just a regular spear with a prop poison bottle and a tube going to the tip?
>>
>>10114834
Damn Germans with their formations.

>>10114852
$200 for a mass produced breastplate is pretty high. I'd personally get something like Wisby Coat of plates with a fabric covering. But if you want to have the later aesthetic, i'd spend 70 bucks extra and get something like this:
http://www.matuls.pl/index.php?IDP=1&Lng=en&IDProdukt=488&IDKategoria=15&IDPodkategoria=45
>>
>>10113624
After some googling I found it's an epic armory piece and its veggie tanned. I have a project for this weekend then.
>>
>>10114830
Not really. My larp is strictly skirmishes with only 4 on the questing side with 3 to 10 on the npc. We run a lot.
>>
>>10112927
Dammerung looks good. I play the company's other game set in the Wild West. Its like DR without a lot of the shitty things that made me avoid DR like the plague. I haven't gotten around to Dammerung yet, but I have enough Norse/Rus garb and gear from the SCA that I should fit right in. If you show up to game 1 in March and see a guy walking around with a Gnezdovo helmet and a mail shirt, feel free to say hi.
>>
>>10114830
On the occasion fights are big enough, we usually have a wall of shields in front of polearmers and a small archer/arbalest unit on the side
>>
>>10114830
boffer person here, yes we definitely have formations. certain groups tend to just wing it (for example the goblin group just gets told where to go and they do their thing), but other groups have pretty elaborate setups with groups for specific purposes etc. the group I know best has one heavy line, one mobile line, one 'punch-through' group and then a skirmish group

I would but one campaign that I attend require that chest armor have front and back plates if they are to yield any hp. Its a 50/50 on costume aesthetics and game practicality for me, I don't want to go around looking like a professional foot soldier while statistically I'm just canon fodder.

Good recommendation though.

>>10114830
Depends on the rules of the campaign, but most times its just heavy infantry in center forming a shield wall or pike wall, and light infantry on flanks. In larger battles you can see people with spears/halberds/pikes or bows support the shield wall at the front.

Most advanced strategy I've seen involves unit maneuvers though, not formations.
>>
>>10115973
>campaign that I attend require that chest armor have front and back plates if they are to yield any hp.

Well thats just fucking retarded, seeing as most breastplates throughout history didn't have backplates.

New stuff tends to come drenched to preserve the steel in transit/storage. Taking off the majority's a wise idea so as not to ruin your undergarments.

There's no harm in spraying on some oil or grease before you box it up between larps, though regular wearing of mail and the movement of the rings will remove most surface rust.
>>
>>10116153
If you want more rage fuel

>leather armor gives one hp, as long as it has a front and back piece
>gambeson does nothing
>full body plate armor needs special review from gm for it to give more than one hp
>chain mail hauberk that covers 2/3 of your body will only ever give you one hp, even if combined with a thick gambeson underneath

And despite that, its the best larp around these parts. Organisers keep things straight and simple to avoid complications, thus allowing them for a broader rule set, and they do the same with handling players. Power larpers hate that campaign since they cant bend on the rules or get their op characters approved.
>>
>>10116860
I've been baited. That's stupid. I could understand only getting +1 health wearing a gambeson, but if you only get that much with heavy armor. what's the point?

in this country we have an event with a couple hundred (mainly highly organised) people every year, I've yet to go myself but everything I've heard is highly positive

So I saw a pic from a European (not sure of specific country) LARPer who had a pack like this.

I figure that fact it's vintage and made from fur and leather makes it "semi" accurate for a historical backpack.

After mine comes in from ordering it, what are some misc. items I could put in it?

A leather-bound copy of The Canterbury Tales and my mess kit are already slated.
>>
>>10117465
>I figure that fact it's vintage and made from fur and leather makes it "semi" accurate for a historical backpack.
you can get stuff like that from larpshops. And I rather won't speculate on the accuracy of it
>>
>>10117465
>>10117466
Cowhide backpacks was a thing since the napoleonic wars.
>>
>>10117465
Too late now, but in general when ordering vintage stuff: don't buy it unless you've seen it from all sides. Sellers sometimes conveniently neglect to mention that there are zippers on it.

As for filling your bag: a coin purse is always useful, and pencils/pens/feathers & paper always come in handy at random times. I personally carry a small sewing kit at all times on Drachenfest, because walking back to your tent for repairs isn't always feasible there. Lastly, if you have any medical experience and room to spare, bringing an OoC first aid kit is a sound idea.

Organisers did a lot of reforms a couple of years back, very little about the armor rules though, but their policy is basically "no more changes" since it takes away focus from the game and creates a lot of drama no matter if its a good or a "no fun allowed" change.

Or in tl;dr, they drew a line and said stop.
>>
>>10118775
Our larp is getting an overhaul, a lot of shit had been non uniform for players and npcs. It all the way down to the spell lists were completely different. Hopefully when we get this 2.0 version we can get more people to show up0

Prepare for the drama though.

Remaking a system typically creates a bunch of controversy since there is always a number of people who benefit greatly from an old system, particularly larps with spell systems since they attract snowflakes with no life except for that one time of the year where they get to pretend to be gandalf.

We had maybe a 100 people or so that left because their characters weren't invincible or über anymore over night, even the guys who got to keep their magical experience and choose new traits/spells in the new system got butthurt. Its understandable that some people would get upset since this campaign has been running for over 25 years, but for the better part it was npc characters or player characters that abused the system who got permanently axed, not the guys who have been going for ten years and reached the top level in their magical line. On the other hand I do think it was kinda childish to just leave, spells don't make a huge difference in the game mechanics since 90% are supportive in nature (ex: dark magicians start out with "interrogate dead", then they can raise like one zombie out of a dead player after like 7-8 years of attendance. Light magicians do stuff like "fear ward", buffs that counter dark magic mostly, and I think their final spell that they can attain is "resurrect" but don't quote me on that one), you mainly just want the role playing privilege of saying that you are a mighty wizard and attend rituals and some other prestigious shit.

Though this shitfest wasn't even comparable to the shield nerf they had eight years ago..
>>
>>10118977
Well that's the thing, players are getting MORE options, the real overhaul is that we are getting rid of elemental proof items. The old system stated that if you are fire-proof, all fire abilities and effects were ineffective against you. Easy right? but the way mages work is that you are committed to an element. So if I get a fireproof ring, i now can kill any fire mage with ease. It took them so long to realize that was why no one was a mage.
New system instead makes it so the "defining trait of each element" is what you are immune to. Fire's trait is most of the spells make the target drop their weapon or take damage (by way of heating the weapon). So being fireproof now means fire spells dont make you drop weapons. There are true fire based damage spells that you would still have to watch out for.
I hope it turns out ok, the head admin is personally looking at each character's stuff and adjusting it for the system.
No one really is invincible persay but we did throttle back on health rings and armor stacking.
>>
>>10118977
>Though this shitfest wasn't even comparable to the shield nerf they had eight years ago..
Storytime?
>>
>>10119037
If I were them I would just make such rings rare to the point that it doesn't need changing. But I don't go to any wizardry larps so I don't know.

>health rings and armor stacking.

I think hp buffs are cancer if it isn't a racial trait or armor related. It breaks immersion significantly for me personally, or is it a good functioning mechanic in that campaign?

>>10119039
Not as interesting as the mage nerf but it had a bigger impact.

>outside of safety regulations, there were no rules or guidelines for shields in the rulebook
>people would make kite shields as tall as they were and twice as wide, someone even made a round shield that was 175cm diameter
>hedgehog formations were invincible
>stalemates would end in brawls after some guy decided to tackle the issue head on (literally)
>final straw for the organizers was this one fine spring day when a faggot dressed in shields showed up at the check in

So they only allow shields to be 100cm tall after that. People got mad for real and my personal estimate is that up to 400 people quit the campaign as a result, which is quite a lot for a game that had at the times up to 1000 active players. Along with the mage quelling, and lack of new recruitment due to reputation impacts, the campaign is down to ~300 active players today with an attendance number of about 200.

I think the campaign is better today, there are no power larpers left to shit things up and combat is more dynamic without those cheese strategies.
>>
>>10119086
>someone even made a round shield that was 175cm diameter
Jesus my long sword is only 110cm. How these things dont get caught early and dealt with within an hour of the larp I dont know.
>>
>>10119135
It didn't pass through the check in because it was deemed unsafe to use, partially because it was unwieldy but mainly because it was brittle due to its size and had no structural reinforcements to make up for the thin plywood sheath.

I should have smacked some sense in to the guy at the drawing board but I didn't realize he was mad and serious enough to attempt it.
>>
>>10119086
Jesus i hate larpers sometimes
>>
>>10119135
>>10119086
Correction, plywood sheaths aren't made/sold wider than 140cm here, so it was probably 140cm in diameter.

I just remember it covering his entire body when held up.

More people, more problems.

Haven't been to drachenfest and the like but I guess that the organizers at larger events are more "walled off" when it comes to player interactions. The main reason why the drama happens in the first place at this one is because people are open to discuss role playing with the gm, thus giving them the option to bitch about things when it doesn't turn out their way.

I've been taking some of my extra garb and making it more ragged. I threw a tunic into the wash 3 times to get it to fade, ripped a bunch of shirts and rolled them in the dirt for a more stained look, I even took some black shoe polish to my brown pauldrons to give it a more worn look.
All we need to do is do peasant quests. Go back to killing rats in the cellar, but instead of progressing up the monster levels, we stay as peasants and drink a lot.

get a good knife, stretch the fabric on something and just simply go over on it with the blade a few times (you have to move the blade perpendicular to the edge so you won't actually cut it up, though a few minor cats here and there can help)

Artificially aged stuff usually leaves you looking like a peasant from Monty python. But you can avoid this by not having useless pieces of fabric hanging around, you just have to wear normal larp clothes but just a little-bit more worn & torn.

what are some good ways of developing the debate between different fighting styles as a player

one of my favorite tropes in fantasy is the debate or competition between fighting styles, wether they are realistic (Meyer fencers vs Fiore fencers) or fantasy (fighting styles in game of thrones)

I can probably make up fighting styles that are based on simple principles (one plays with reach and staying away from your enemies, other is all about perfect defense etc)

what is the best way to spread it out and get more players roll with it?

start the debate in a tavern. Disagree exclusively on very minor points and agree on basically everything else.
Like, you should disagree on WHY a very specific and rarely used stance should be called after an uncommon animal and how it resembles that stance and ONE, again, very specific attack you do from it.
After five minutes of shouting grab a dagger and stab the other motherfucker just to prove your "point"

Same here, my dude! I'm actually thinking of bringing up something similar in an upcoming LARP we have here in a month or so.

I think another good thing to do is to tak to your friends who are into this as well, and get them to come up with their own defined fighting styles so it actually feels more like a LARP-wide trait and not just your own thing. Might get others to make up their own styles as well for the next game. Of course, you should be vocal about it and all that jazz.

For out of game I've been running shit and doing admin stuff and that was mostly because my character was in prison for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Nearly took the fall for the slaughtering of a families estate. While I wanted to get back into fighting shape, when I was in character I was effectively in chains and forced to roleplay. Which turned into a lot of idle threats to guards and noblemen and really hyped up my ranger as a badass, especially when he's a war veteran.
The charges get dropped due to lack of evidence and 6 months later I get released out the front gate of the keep and told dont cause trouble. Now my Ranger up to this point had made a point to keep certain parties thinking he was dead. Appearing in court tends to fuck that up. So when I was released out the keep gate, I had an entourage of people I had either stiffed debts, pissed off or attempted to screw over in other ways.
Felt like the last episode of Seinfeld.
Now being cocky since I had hyped myself up during the roleplaying, I took all challengers right on the front steps into the keep. This is where I fucked up hard.
First challenger wipes the floor with me. I was really out of practice since the last 3 events I had been too busy running stuff to spar, or I was in chains. I got blown out to the point that the guards decided to break it up since common law is that I'm not out the Keep's care until I enter another residence and it would look bad if someone gets released from prison and immediately gets killed (Honestly I think it was because of how bad I got thrashed and because none of the npcs running it wanted to see me die within 5 minutes of getting out of jail.) The guards held me for the rest of the day while a healer worked me over and then released me off a supply wagon a couple miles out of town.
I thought I was hot shit but i wasn't. I lost a lot of face and now I'm back to the wilds hunting. Next event I'm doing less running quests and more sparring.
