Is it just me or has Risa developed bulimia cheeks lately? She's been looking a lot more haggard too. I used to like her but it feels like her looks are going.

>>
>>10095780
I'm amazed at the hate/indifference towards Sheglit, their quality is really great and I'm so glad they're becoming more prominent. Their silhouette mightn't always be cookie-cutter lolita, but they generally cater to a mature, gothic/classic aesthetic which really flatters a pretty broad range of people.
>>
>>10095784
Their quality is really nice but I do think a lot of their designs are quite boring for lolita standards. Imo, they fall in a weird place where gothic lolitas might find it too classic for their wardrobe and classic lolitas find it too gothic.
>>
>>10095784
Their overdresses are nice and I own some but their newest releases do seem very classic and that doesn't appeal to me personally at all. If/when they go back to gothic I'll consider them but not at the moment.

>>
>>10095784
I really think it's because 1) They're newer 2) They don't really do iconic prints.

Everyone likes to make it out to be they're this big solidfag, but prints are just why most girls buy lolita and it's like a neverending fad. I guess more for us that enjoy quality and an actual gothic brand that doesn't rely on terrible rereleases, anon.
>>
>>10095784
Everything is too long and I'm short. There's a reason they went under as BPN/PN (i.e. items priced too high for what you got) and I reckon after a few years Sheglit will die the same way.
>>
>>10095784

>>

>>
>>10095788
>>10095827
>>10095894
Agree with all of these. None of their stuff speaks to me enough to want to buy it. It's not even that they don't do prints, it's just the dowdy classic leaning mary poppins looking dresses aren't my thing. If I'm after solids I'd go to Moitie or Boz.

Besides the colour palette the stuff they put out right now is hardly gothic. I can just think of a dozen more things that would fit my wardrobe that I would buy before a new sheglit piece even comes to mind.

>>10095974
Nope, it's because of the length. I would buy pic related and a couple of other dresses if it wasn't too long for me. I hate getting things altered.
>>
>>10096026

Their quality is really good for what you get though. I've never owned BPN but the construction of sheglit is solid and very details oriented. I'm inclined to agree with >>10095974, most lolitas despite insisting they love prints don't want to dump money for a nonprint.

Also I'm fairly short (160cm) and honestly their stuff doesn't make me look stumpy at all.
>>
>>10096126
Sheglit is actually my favorite brand now. They're filling the space that excentrique left behind, and classic brands that fell off the face of the Earth. For those brands we all seem to hold sacred, ie VM, MM, and MMM, the nothing but rereleases business model is boring af. Sheglit is coming up strong and I'm really happy. Their whole aesthetic is basically Disney's haunted mansion and I'm into it
>>
>>10096116
This doesn't look lolita at all, this looks like a Gunne Sax dress someone dyed. More mori than anything desu. Cute, just not lolita.
>>
>>10096139
>More mori than anything
Yikes, anon
>>
>>10095974
I'm not a fan of Sheglit and it has nothing to do with whether or not they have prints. I don't wear prints at all unless they're small and unobtrusive.

Their blouses are nice. Their corsets and vests are nice. But Sheglit's skirts and dresses are just really, REALLY fucking boring.

It's like if they're aiming for matronly, they don't quite go far enough to become charming like Mur Melche or Pink House. If they're aiming for elegant solids, their cuts and designs are never quite as elegant as MM or VM. If they're aiming for gothic, a ton of other brands are doing better gothic pieces. Their prints are just the same crap as every other gothic brand. And so on.

How many of you gulls have experience with Melikestea?

I'm finally biting the bullet and investing in a new petticoat and I'm trying to choose between the Melikestea cotton candy petticoat and the hybrid poof monster. For context, I mainly wear 2010 style pastel vomit AP dresses. I'm fairly certain I'm going to go with organza instead of voile since that's what I'm used to, but I'd love to hear opinions from people who have bought her petticoats before.

Any pictures of Melikestea petticoats would be greatly appreciated!
>>
>>10096156
I have the hybrid poof monster, but in tulle - bought it back in 2015 and it's still a monster.
>>
>>10096156
I have two of the voile ones. They are not as instantly poofy as organza, but they add bulk like no other and they are soft and easily washable.
>>
>>10096156
I have a voile one. It keeps it's poof even after being stored for long periods, and it's so soft and comfortable. Good if you aren't fond of the texture of tule.

>>
>>10096146
>a ton of other brands are doing better gothic pieces.
Which ones?

>>10096410
Omg I hope there aren't old lolita scans on there or something.
>>
>>10096419
Nayrt, scans aren't really the issue, you can find plenty archived on lolitahistory.com, but looking around on flickr I'm finding some old street snaps that I've never seen before, like the one anon posted >>10096410 which imo should definitely be saved.
>>
>>10096420
I don't care about streetsnaps sorry. I want to save Herajika's entire wardobe and old Cutie scans. But I'm at work so I can't.
>>
>>10095496
Personally I this the issue with Sheglit is these neckline cuts. High, round, simple and buttoned in the middle all the way down. On top of being very matronly, they don't look good on anyone. I would have bought their coats if they didn't have the same issue.
>>
>>10096451
Is it really such a problem if these OPs come with detachable collars though? Those necklines on their own don't look very good, agreed on that, but if there's an option to wear them with different collars then it's fine.
>>
>>10096417
I'm not sure about that since they aren't mine. I've created folders for pictures that were posted in groups and folders by individual private albums (who aren't directly downloadable) of people who went to harajuku. I just want to save them for now.

>>10096419
Like >>10096420 said, scans aren't the problem. You can still find full download links that are working on livejournal and on magazine blogs. But there's a shit ton of street snaps, meetup pictures, coords, detail shots, photoshoots and other interesting stuff that isn't posted anywhere else.
And not only for lolita but also for any other streetstyle like gyaru, decora and visual kei.
In fact, there's so much it's basically impossible to save most it.. I'm going through the group "Lolita Fashion :: ロリータ - NOT A PLACE FOR PORN !" right now and only finished 10 pages out of 87 in the past 2 hours.

>>10096423
If the author put them in a non-copyrighted album you can download them all at once.
>>
>>10096461
Sounds like you should write a script. Are you doing all this manually?
>>
>>10096468
Yeah, but I'm not well versed in that. And yes, mostly, unless they put the pictures in an album and made that available for download. I searched for bulk downloading tools but the ones I tried either don't work or just download albums in bad resolutions, not groups, fotostreams, favorites or the whole content of a user.
>>
>>10096473
Ay Anon I've got some time so if there's some links for saving you want to drop feel free. I'm not rolling in storage space though so I'd have to be able to dump somewhere.

That would be great!
This group has a lot of snaps: https://www.flickr.com/groups/76733810@N00/pool/page60
You could look through it starting from the last page (which is page 65 with an account or 60 without an account) and save what you deem interesting. If you have a flickr/yahoo account there will be even more pictures visible. But not all pictures are downloadable. Usually you can click the picture and on the bottom right (next to the favorite and share button) is a download button. If you click it and get a range of sizes to choose from, it's downloadable.
If there's only a "show every size" window, it's not downloadable and you'd have to work around that (like installing a browser extensions like "Image Downloader" for chrome), but you really don't have to put in that effort. I'd be glad about any help!

For uploading them I'd recommend https://imgur.com/ they are easy to use and share.

We should start a magazine zip sharing thread soon. I'm sure I still have some keras, glbs and gyaru magazines on my usb sticks somewhere.
>Anyways what if you just saved them to pinterest?
The resolution and size would be worse than the direct downloads, but you're right, that's an option.
>>
>>10096517
I actually got started already! I found a group that went back to 2005 so I figured I might as well (vintage western community mostly but that's fine by me). What's the philosophy on pretty ita comm pics? Part of me wants to keep them, but it's also tempting to let them go gently into the night simply because there's no shortage of them even now.

Btw if you're using Chrome you don't need an extention to download the ones that are supposedly blocked, just click "view all sizes", hover over the image, right click, and hit "inspect" and a direct link to the image should be close to the top of the window. More involved than just downloading an extention, but my computer is old enough I don't want to bog it down.

Imgur is fantastic by the by, I use them for whatever I want to post to LJ. I'll dump stuff there and link here in the general or if we make a dedicated thread. Do you think the Lolitahistory galleries would consider adding the images we collect? I'd like them to be more accessable than just links shared among seagulls.
>>
>>10096532

I save the ita pics too since I personally think they're endearing and.. they just don't make em like this anymore. But I totally get what you mean, if it's a lot it might be better to let them go.
And thank you for the tip with chrome!
>Do you think the Lolitahistory galleries would consider adding the images we collect? I'd like them to be more accessable than just links shared among seagulls.
Yes, I'm very sure they would. If I remember correctly that site belongs to rainedragon who is an information hoarder herself. I'd like them to be more accessable too but like I said, the thing with the ownership is a slippery slope. A lot of photographers hate their pictures being shared on third party websites and even worse without credit.

That is true, and with a lot of images being ~10 years old crediting can be awfully difficult. I'll try and keep track of at least who posted things I guess, and if RD decides that it's a can of worms she doesn't want to deal with that's fine.

On the subject of archiving old snaps, I've been thinking about going through all my old hard drives and consolidating my files. I should have some images saved from 2004 and on from egl and wherever else. I'm not sure it's a lot, but there may very well be lost content.
It's overwhelming though because I probably have about 10 different hard drives from different computers plus externals that may not even work.
Any tips on such a project of accessing and consolidating this stuff is helpful...

There's quite a lot and I think your method is good on itself. If you go through the lolita search flickr and save images you think are important that's already great. But one thing to pay attention is the user. Do they have under 1000 pictures listed in their profile page (the number is usually listed under their names) or are they pro accounts? Then you don't have to prioritize them, they won't be deleted for now.

I'm the one who mentioned the weight (according to the lm listing it is 1400g) and I hope it is real bread. If I were going to make a bread crown I would start with something lightweight to build it around (styrofoam ball or a partially inflated balloon perhaps) but at that weight it is probably full of treasures such as actual bread, secret documents, stolen jewels, insects, recording equipment, or a miniature cactus.

Whatever it's made from, wearing a headband that heavy sounds like an instant headache.

Be My Valentine is coming out on Saturday.

I'm pretty disappointed that it's only an OP, JSK, and headdress. Plus, the JSK cut is pretty meh. At least it's not high-waisted this time though.

I submitted a request for the red jsk with Tenshi. I’m so excited! I’ve been meaning to own a Valentineseque dress and I’m glad it’s an AP one. The cut is plain but I like that it’s not high-waisted.
>>
>>10097798
Personally think this is fugly but what I really don't get is why brands put out holiday themed releases that won't even arrive in time for the holiday they're for
>>

Out of curiosity, I went through Hanayoku's Lace Market feedback, picked some random dresses, and realized they somehow got their hands on:
20 AP Princess Cat dresses
7 AP Dolly Cat dresses
9 AP Baked Sweets dresses
4 AP Horror Garden dresses

Multiples of these prints are currently listed and they just reuse proof photos. In the case of the two dolly cats they have listed, both are the same colorway.

They have multiple listings from 2017 that are brand replicas.
I think all the duplicate dress owners are getting scammed harder than we previously thought.
>>
>>10097876
Clearly they are another scalping reseller snatching shit off of 2nd hand sites now that they aren’t allowed to act as a Taobao reseller anymore.
>>
>>10097880
The AP replica flood didn't start until mid 2018 and I put my money on replicas, due to the previously replicas they sold and because only the same few colorways and special sets tend to pop up. One of the buyers left feedback in 2017 about an early replica they sold her and about how she asked for a refund and they were initially unwilling, until she told them she knew it was a fake.
>>

Idk about valentines but I have no problem buying halloween themed stuff in August. It gives me a good window to wear the stuff leading up to the end of october and gets me excited for it. I'm really into gothic though, for someone who's really into sweet I get wearing cutesy candy prints to lead up to Valentines.
>>
>>10097876
>>10097891
I have reported them to the LM mods. In my experience, once they are aware of something they take care of it
>>
>>10098126
General note, I think we'd all do well to report dodgy things on LM when we see them, whether it be print replicas or shitty wish dresses. Once the LM mods are alerted to something they seem to deal with it pretty quickly.
>>
>>10097838
Because aside from a select few, most holiday releases fit with other common lolita themes anyway. This is just hearts and animals, sweet lolitas can wear it year-round. It’s the same with most Halloween releases, depending on the print gothic or sweet lolitas can wear them any time. A lot of the Christmas and Easter prints fit season-long themes. I can think of very few dresses which are too holiday-specific to wear only close to that holiday (the latest AP Christmas print that looked like wrapping paper for example)
>>
>>10098103
yeah, but they'll impulse buy it better when it's closer to the holiday and once the brand has the $$ why would the care

>>10098117
Halloween is a special case because there's lots of lolitas who wear spooky stuff all year round

I've never seen that tag on any of my AP either. It's usually printed on the main tag.

>>
>>10098747
I'd be worried about this one desu. None of my AP has any of this type of tag and I have only bought from the brand.
>>
>>10098779
I’d politely message the seller and state that you received an item that may be a replica from them. I’d explain the tag and see what they have to say.
>>
>>10098790
Here’s the brand tag from that same dress- do replicas normally have these? I don’t think this one is, but if it is I’m really not going to be happy at all....
>>
>>10098779
Does anything else about the dress seem off?

I don't know if I would worry. I did not see this tag on any of my ap either, but I also saw that they all had really different tags.
I would be more concerned about it it were one of the dozens of princess cats. Hanayouki doesn't have a habit of selling masses of decoration dream. Where would they get only one replica?

I wonder if it's possible they can get factory rejects or something. From what I understand it's fairly common in China.

>>10098775
I can't vouch for the decoration dream OP tags for certain so hopefully another anon that owns the OP can contribute that to be certain, but I own the back frill JSK in yellow that I bought from mercari and this is what my tags look like- mine is apparently made in the Philippines and doesn't have an extra tag like that- but of course they could have just been manufactured in completely separate factories being different cuts.
I did buy an AP dress from hanayoku last year before I realised they were reselling, and as far as I can tell everything looks genuine and has all the tags, the lace and print quality and alignment is all up to AP standards, so hopefully it's just a case of them moving from reselling taobao to reselling stuff they got cheap off secondhand sites- but it's still shifty they sell so many of the same dress series and don't provide reliable proof images. I've owned a decent variety of AP dresses and haven't noticed an extra 'made in china' tag like that before.
>>
>>10098804
No, not that I can see. Border prints don’t seem off as the lace is standard AP quality- I’ve purchased new pieces straight from AP pretty frequently, so I’m familiar with how things are *supposed* to look and feel. But yeah no, nothing seems off to me about these dresses. I never thought about factory rejects- that would make a lot of sense though. I’d be incredibly depressed if I found out I accidentally purchased a replica, but I’m hoping worst case scenario it’s an AP reject? Not sure what to think
>>
>>10098797
I've heard of replica sellers buying fake tags that seem pretty genuine. I don't know if it's a replica, but a tag isn't necessarily proof, sadly.
>>
>>10098812
Damn, that’s pretty outrageous and I’ve never heard of them doing that. I did compare the tag to pieces I’ve bought straight from AP and they look identical though.
>>
>>10098810
I have Decoration Dream OP, I'll take pics when I get home
>>
>>10098812
>>10098816
Not lolita but I remember seeing a few years back that you can literally buy a huge pile of fake lizlisa tags for like a couple dollars. They're easy to spot when put next to a real tag, I assume with AP it's the same.
>>
>>10098779
they could easily remove the tag from a legitimate dress and sew it onto a fake. Try looking up the product code on the tag and compare it to lolibrary?
>>
>>10098832
Thank you for reminding me of that- this is for the dress in question with the extra Made in China tag. Looks like the last 4 digits match up, but I’m not sure about what the first few represent.
>>
>>10098843
I've seen the extra made in China tag before. I think it was on one of my AP blouses.
>>
>>10098797
I know it sucks, but I have heard of replica sellers even replicating tags. Not so much in lolita but in other fashions and even other types of products. I wonder if other people have this same dress as you, who bought directly from the brand or other reputable sources and can check theirs.
>>
>>10098830
I wouldn't know how good the AP ones are. I remember a controversy about Oo Jia selling a fake dress with one of the fake ap tags on it.
I think it's fine from the pictures OP is sharing. I've gotten some weird tags on my brand dresses. I hope you figure it out 100 percent.
>>
>>10098666
She just needs to lose some weight. It's really not that bad compared to some girls I've seen.
>>
>>10098884
This is true, I bought what I thought were brandless gold jeans on aliexpress and they arrived with a full set of pretty legit looking Balmain tags. I was like waitwut
>>
>>10098811
I've yet to see a replica that can truly "pass" under close scrutiny, so if you're experienced with the brand and nothing looks off I'd doubt it's a replica
>>
>>10098894
The dream sky jsk? I remember that, it was like a sample piece that came from the same factory AP uses to make their dresses or something, and it had different buttons on it. Actually thought that version was cuter than what AP ended up doing honestly.
>>

Here you go. Memorial Cake in blue and white, both jsk, and they both have the Made in China tag. Along with a closeup of the custom lace, as that's that part I find replicamakers seem to mess up the most on. The fabric should be thick cotton twill as well, but really I think you're fine -- Memorial Cake came out before the really good replicamakers realised they can make money from lolita, and then afterwards it's no longer a popular print.

I think if you bought from her a few years ago you're probably safe, she needed to build up some feedback so that people would think her stuff was legit and not fakes. So at the beginning at least she'd be shipping out real stuff to make sure her account isn't taken down before she can start raking in cash from the noobs.
>>
>>10098666
Let’s be real, lolita never suited her.

What's the best way to buy lolita magazines if you live in Europe? I feel like shipping will be 10x the amount the magazine cost, and you end up having to pay customs over shipping?

This.

I love Lor but she's never looked as good in Lolita as someone like Peachie or Tyler.
>>
>>10099278
Most magazines are below €22, so as long as you buy individual pieces, you don’t have to pay customs. But shipping is a thing. People often forget that those magazine can weight quite a lot.
If you want to buy multiple magazines, it might be cheaper to have a shopping service buy them and let them lower the value of the packet, but I warn you for the weight. I bought a lot of magazines in Japan and the total weight ended up being near the 20kg!
>>
>>10099299
You have to pay taxes/customs for the total cost including shipping. If the magazine is 20 but shipping is also 20, you have to pay the tax % over 40 euro.
>>
>>10099279
I think a lot of the cost is because they only produce very few and make them in Japan themselves

I really disagree. I think Lor looks great when she's not being super experimental with her makeup. she looks great in more primary colors. Honestly looking back at old street snaps and the origins of lolita, the girls that always look slightly out of place and less like picture perfect dolls that clearly really love the fashion are the most inspiring to me. Some gulls talk like she's some obese hag ripping the seams in her honey cake but she seems to really care about the fashion and the community. Yes her coords aren't perfect and she tries too hard to be nice to everyone but she has a lot of experience in the fashion, and her recent content such as the documentary videos are enjoyable to watch and a far more productive contribution to this community than a zillionth AP haul. Maybe it's being friends with Tyler that's had such a good influence on her content, but I've thoroughly been enjoying it lately. She's far more likeable than she used to be.

I hate to WK but gulls saying she needs to quit because she gained a few pounds and doesn't 'suit' an alternative and already extremely niche fashion that she clearly really loves is a bit much. Sure she isn't the cutest but who in this world perfectly suits lolita? Besides our lord and saviour Mana himself?
>>
Thinking about reserving something from Lief's newest series, I've got a lot of questions. Have any EU gulls ordered from them directly - will I get nabbed by customs or is there some sort of SS/reseller I can use for them? How is the quality of Lief's pieces generally, are they worth the price?
>>
Hey anons, so the other anon got her wish with Tenderesse being one of the top 3 dresses for JetJ's rerelease poll.
Can you help out and vote for Dragon Chan? At least it won't be another cat dress (as much as I like them, we don't need 2!)
I appreciate it.

I'm not convinced she loves it after her trying to wear it all day video.
>>
>>10100023
I think she was trying to be relatable with her ~lolita at heart~ subscribers more than anything. I don't want to believe she is that dumb.
>>
>>10100023
She was dumb and tried that on a hot summer day. That doesn’t change that she likes the fashion.
>>
>>10100023
Stop gatekeeping so hard holy shit, it was a for-fun challenge.
>>
>>10100055
Nayrt but that video basically helped perpetuate the misconception that lolita is inherently uncomfortable and can't be worn for extended periods of time, when in reality you just need to wear garments that fit you comfortably and dress yourself appropriately for the weather, which are two things Lor didn't do in that video iirc. Which is a shame, I have no doubt that she truly loves the fashion, but doing that gave her viewers (who are mostly not lolitas at all) a skewed view of the fashion.
>>
>>10100014
Eurofag here and customs gets me every time that I order from Lief. It is the only reason that I don't buy from them so often any more, because otherwise the quality is great and the pieces very flattering.
>>
>>10100064
Ah shit, that's not good to hear. Which country? Might be okay where I live... I've asked if they mark down in an email, & they didn't address that part at all. Why wouldn't they just say no if they don't?

>>10099278
Correct me if I'm wrong but don't books and magazines in the EU have a 0% VAT rate?
>>
>>10100064
>>10100068
I know everyone keeps bringing them up, but can't you just buy it from Atelier Pierrot? They mark down packages and they'll stock things they don't have on their website if you ask.
>>
>>10100068
All i kniw is that there's no VAT on books and magazines sent to the UK.
>>
>>10099301
You indeed pay tax over the value + shipping, but when it comes to deciding if you have to pay taxes or not they only look at value. As long as the value is below €22, you don’t have to pay taxes, at least in the EU country I come from. If something is €20 and the shipping is €12, I don’t have to pay tax as the value on the package is below €22.
>>
>>10100073
I've thought about it, would they be able to handle a reservation for me though?
>>
>>10100068
Where I live you have to pay tax if the value is above €22, also for books. However if you order more than €150 worth of books you only pay taxes for it and not another extra importing fees. While for other items above the €150 you would have had to pay importing fees on top of the taxes.
I do believe the tax on books is lower than on other items. People often mix up the importing fees and just the tax fees and get surprised when they still have to pay. Don’t know if it differs per EU country.
>>
>>10100079
They did for me for JetJ. Tax free was why I chose to use them instead of direct from JetJ.

I love lolita too but I’m not going to pretend like it’s comfortable for lounging around the house. Does that make me a fake lolita now?
>>
>>10100126
It doesn't make you fake but maybe you should consider how your clothes fit you, and I don't mean to imply that you're fat. If your dresses's or blouses's shoulder measurement is too small, it affects comfort too. Same goes for too-tight elastics. I can and do wear my coords around the house for hours on end just for fun and never had issues with comfort, so it's a personal problem more than anything else.
>>
>>10100132
I’m like this with all my clothes though, from forever21 normie shit to lolita, I like to be comfortable at home and I wear loungewear or roomwear. Usually the first thing I do when I get home is take my makeup and contacts off and do my skincare routine. It would be stupid to do all that while leaving a nice coordinate on. Some of my clothes are on the snug side, but sometimes I just don’t like wearing all those layers if I’m just going to be sitting down playing vidya, cleaning my bathroom or doing yoga. If you can do it then more power to you, but that doesn’t mean those of us that can’t aren’t real lolitas. Plenty of women love wearing high heels, doesn’t change the fact that they can be uncomfortable when worn too long no matter how perfect the sizing is.
>>
>>10100132
> I can and do wear my coords around the house for hours on end just for fun and never had issues with comfort
Same anon. I never understood why people complain that they can't wait to get out of their dresses. For me, I really don't want to take it off, I feel so fricking cute. I lounge around with my cats until I have to get ready for bed at night.
>>
>>10100135
Lor wasn't lounging at home. She was going out and running errands. It's a basic concept in any fashion. Buy things that fit. If it's uncomfortable, guess what? It doesn't fit. If it's too hot, then take a look at your fabric choices.

Sure she may love the idea of lolita, but in practice, I don't see it.
>>
>>10100142
Who runs errands for 24 hours? Some people overheat easily, and it’s not like it’s difficult for lolita clothing to be too tight. It’s cool you can wear it 24/7, not everyone can but to think someone whose obviously spent a lot of money on the fashion and dedicated a lot of her time to it must not truly like it because she can’t wear it for 24 hours is silly.
>>
>>10100135
Nobody’s saying that if you don’t wear lolita to do yoga you’re not a real lolita. You’re moving goalposts. Anon already explained that Lor wore clothes that didn’t fit well and were unsuitable for the weather and then acted like the discomfort that caused is inherent to lolita, which is false. That’s the problem people had with that video, not that she doesn’t wear full coords to bed.
>>
>>10100147
“Lolita clothes can be uncomfortable” isn’t a wrong conclusion. If lolita clothes were inherently that way then casual lolita wouldn’t be a separate style
>>
>>10100150
Casual lolita is not a separate style because of comfort, it's less attention grabbing/more accepted at normie events, and quicker. Some people also just prefer how causal looks.
>>
>>10100151
Comfort is also part of casual lolita, it falls under the “easier to wear” umbrella...
>>
>>10100150
casual lolita is not a different style 80% of it is literally just lolita with printed cutsews instead of blouses or IW solid coords that could pass for fancy normie outfits

I only had enough for Be My Valentine and didn't know this was coming out. I like it so much better but oh well I'll just sit here and cry
>>
>>10100137
I'm the opposite--I'd love to be able to wear lolita around the house and be comfy. I think I may be slightly allergic to makeup bc when I put stuff on my eyelids and lashes (no matter how carefully, how top quality the makeup or the brand, or how it's sealed) my eyes always feel dry, stingy and sleepy afterwards. It makes me a bit lethargic. But I've been experimenting more with other makeup brands to see what works best with me and what doesn't so hopefully I'll remedy that problem.

The clothes themselves I suspect I'm just not used to yet. I'm so used to wearing jeans and a tshirt, so the several layers and the extra weight of all that fabric is very exhausting for me to move around in, which is why I'm excited to take off a full coord when I get home from a meet and ready to go back to bed or take a heavy nap after.

I'm thinking of switching the elastic on my casual petti to a drawstring desu, so I can loosen it after food if necessary when wearing daily coords. I wanna be a daily lolita but I need to find some workarounds for comfy things for my lazy ass to wear. orz

Maybe try more empire waisted or sack OPs if comfort is key for you?
Something like pic related perhaps? I have this dress and it’s really comfy to wear for meets.
>>
>>10100490
Models don't usually smile in lolita
>>
>>10100632
These sorts of cutting are also really comfortable to wear. I’ve been trying to wear lolita out more lately so I totally understand the need for comfort.
As much as I love Victorian Maiden and MM, they’re definitely not the best when it comes to comfort.
>>
>>10100633
They used to. AP's models looked the happiest of them all, iirc.

rofl that nun op is actually on my wishlist in a different color (or one of its sisters idr BtssB's got lots of nun stuff these days.) I do have a Meta Sailor OP similar to the pic, it is so dang comfy. Meta in general is just like... The best when it comes to comfort I find.

Yeah empire waisted dresses are something I've been slowly looking into, but overall I'm just not a fan of sack dresses RIP. I have a few, but I've found that the more shirring the better (obviously) and because I have small tits I'm able to get away without wearing a bra most of the time--which has helped a lot desu.

I've also started the journey of investing in lots of cutsews and I LOOOOVE them. I'm also keeping my eye out for skirts that are at least half or fully elastic waist so I can pair them with cute sweaters.

at least they didn't look bored out of their fucking minds

>>10100147
This reminds me of the kinda dumb "action lolita" videos that fluffykawaii Jo has been making. Sure, you can do lolita in whatever, but it's definitely not the most practical outfit to go swimming in for example. But you CAN do it if you want. No one is stopping you.
