I'll be honest, I bought more of the AMRN with the Profit gained by trimming my T-babies. I cut my position almost in half. Retaining 100.some odd shares though. Figured "hey I'll make a shit load of Profit short term then when the Mega Dip 2.0 happens I'll swoop in and buy more T-babies on the cheap"

So make 64+ thousand with AMRN, bag T-babies on the cheap later and still end up with a shitload of Green in the bank. Win all around.

The numbers are more important than ever in the dude weed. Only companies showing consistent growth rate meanwhile keeping cash position healthy and burn rate low will rise again. Your thesis is correct but, unlike the speculative bull runs of 2017 and 2018, you can't just pick any of the bunch of expect success. These companies will drop like mad on earnings misses.

Choose wisely.
>>
>>15561786
The job is options is still open but who knows if I'll get one or the other. Far as AMRN dumping, well yeah it'll have ups/downs but overall after 11/11 there's no stopping it from gaining serious traction.

In any event I think T stock will fall due to one simple reason. That activist dude has zero chance in hell of actually forcing the board to do anything. Sure he dumped 3.2 billion into T. But that's only a 1% stake. The board will listen, then tell him to fuck off. Plus I'm sure Trump will put out another few Tweets that sends the markets into free fall before the year is done or just starting next year. Right in time for Tax Refunds to hit.

I've never tried options. Don't really know how they work other than I buy the contract at whatever price. If someone later buys the stock at the price listed in the contract then I get a cut of the Profits. But if no one buys then I'm fucked out of the amount I paid for the contract.

Right? How about the under laying shares. Say I own 100 shares. Would I lose them or what?

My current target for LCI is 17, but we have a decent resistance area at 14.5-14.7. So if we go down from there we will HOPEFULLY bounce off the 13.2 support, if not then back down to test 12 again. So potential entries would be either 13.2 or 12, but it's obviously risky

Oh no, not another corporate conspiracy.

Not sure why you think these big companies are competent enough to do this when they missed the entire rise of the vaping industry despite being in the business of fucking smoking!
>>
>>15564096
Tbh to me it seems like their is some conspiracy against nicotine. It seems like they dont want people smoking or ingesting it for some reason.

Is it just cause it is a motivating upper?
>>
>>15564204
The bigger a business is, the more risk averse it has to be. They didn’t “miss” vaping anymore than McDonalds “missed” the veggie burger.

Altria didn’t try to completely buy Juul or Cronos out, they bought a stake, because they’d rather share the risk as well as the rewards. They’ve got eyes on what’s happening. They can’t and usually don’t want to make quick and drastic changes.

>Is it big pharma pushing this shit?

No. And, contrary to a lot of comments I see on related news stories, it isn't big tobacco either. Big tobacco, or Altria at least, is invested in vaping. The hysteria appears to be mostly public driven. Gen x teachers and parents who see kids adopting the habit and freaking out about it. Media are boosting it because it brings in good ratings. Trump's move to stamp down on flavoring is ridiculous. There are all sorts of things teenage minors want to buy/consume regardless of whether the products are marketed specifically to them. Only way to cut down on minor purchases is to apply pressure to retailers to beef up their age verification process, only use couriers (for online sales) that offer ID check on delivery option to double up the redundancy.
>>

>>
>>15564683
>Can't FDA or other regulators do some QC on the main importers or something?

Not on black or grey market products. I assume you're talking about the vitamin E acetate issue for THC oil carts? Those are the ones causing real health issues. Standard nicotine e-liquid, in bottled or cart form, do not contain vitamin e acetate. Never have. There was no reason to use it. Vitamin E acetate was used by shady dealers to make the liquid thicker, which, apparently, made the liquid seem more "pure", or I suppose more concentrated, to the consumer. Nicotine e-juice is plenty thick enough due to vegetable glycerine making up 50%+ of the mixture in the most popular liquids. Also you don't want extra thick e-liquid as that makes it wick poorly through the cotton wicked heating coils.

>>15564766
kek no way. This is America, it's much more economically effective to squeeze everything we can from our workers than let them parent their children. So we'll just make vaping illegal, and as for parenting, we'll let the government, daycare, and illegals fill in the gaps. Not unlike what we do with our elderly much of the time.

The official Green light date for AMRN is Dec 28th.
The meeting where the FDA discusses AMRN is 11/14. (And AMRN kicks the FDA's ass).

After Dec 28th you'll be able to get AMRN from your Doc. Start 2020 off with a bang! Try out the new Wendy's breakfast Triple sandwich without having The Big One!

After 11/14 I'd expect Big Pharma to really take notice. They'd see that there would be no stopping AMRN then.

Its not sinister. Its just a general problem with black market products: people try to cut corners to maximize profit and there's no regulation on what things are cut with because the product is illegal. Now we have retards playing in a bathtub with chemicals, fucking up the concentration levels, cutting in extra shit, and dealing it to the public because people always fall for the 'think of the children' FUD.

No. Previously highly undervalued company for lots of reasons that i'm not going to repeat for the 6 gorillionth time. Jumped from $6 to now $14. Still undervalued, of course not as much, shorts still need to cover. Poor fucks. Anyway with the rate the company is going now it's a fantastic long term investment, or at the very least trading on the way up.

I am a SCM major. Last semester (spring) I had to do a report on global shipping. It is glutted and has been for some time. Margins are becoming paper thin. The China shit is making worse because they are shipping less, meaning less shit to fill ships. I would exercise caution. You might find a decent company in there (lots of consolidation and M&A's) just be careful fren.

>>
>>15567139
Not really. The report was more of an industry wide thing. Looking at the 5 year chart doesn't inspire me though. Unless there is some great news coming I would expect that 5 year trend to continue. Just my (very quick) opinion.
Also: consider that M&A's cost money and tend to result in newly issued stock, so even though the news appears good, it can hurt prices.

I heard a piece of advice a long time ago that I didn't really listen too, but was pretty sound. The advice was to focus on one narrow issue and trade that. Coffee, for example. Just trade that one commodity. If everyday you read and follow news about that one issue, then in a relatively short amount of time you will become pretty knowledgeable about it. In time you will get into "the groove" of trading that one issue and develop a 'feeling' for it (as he put it). That feeling will make you a much, much better trader then most 'general issue' traders. Seems like good advice, especially for beginners.

Anyone else get annoyed when their sell call doesn't get exercised even though it's deep in the money for a few days?

I want access to my locked funds what's the other person waiting for, higher prices? If it crashes they lose out on easy gains especially when the stock has begun struggling at upward moment after a large pump.
>>
>>15567206
This is how the big boy investment banking traders do it. It's one of the big secrets. Each trader only has like 3 equities that they trade every single day.

That's just the beginning of how 4chan takes over the world. BWL/A fren pretty much took over that one. First we take the business, and improve it. Then people will marvel at the hacker known as fourchan. Media will try to get us shut down but nobodys gonna buy it cause now we're making a company lots of moolahs and securing jobs. Then we do it again. Soon enough companies will be watching, waiting, hoping for hacker 4chans to come and take over their business and make them more monies. They'll find ways to attract this anonymous group of anons to save them, or at least improve them. We start pushing our vision, using the companies we've bought as our army. They will fear and respect us. We will become a worldwide dominant force that nearly all governments bow before. First the business, then the markets, then the entire TRI STATE AREA! And then THE WORLD! We will become an unstoppable force, the likes of which no one has ever seen, mostly because we're anonymous. And we will be as chaotic rulers who see the light beyond the cave and venture out into it, pulling all those who wish to be freed out of the matrix.

It's the volatility index for sp500. It's calculated from options iv which is the expected future market range/volatility. If the chart is stable vix is low. If shit is going down vix goes up. If you look at $vix on tradingview that what you see is spot vix. You can't trade this. You can only buy derivatives like options and etn...which have massive rollover costs because contango.
Look at UVXY and notice that it's going straight into the ground. That's because of roll over. You can't just buy vix and do a little wait and see.
Would be easy af since vix is high vola in low range. Buy in the lower half and wait it out until you're green. There was $xiv which was a $vix inverse (who would have guessed). It was a sure way to make a lot of money until it wasn't.

Do understand, many normies do not think that way. Actually, most dont. They only think of jobs, savings, and college as routes to wealth, and never once consider rental properties or other forms of passive investment. It's useful for waking up normies, but beyond that, no real advice.
