Lowered borrowing rates will lead to a weaker dollar and inflation.
>>
>>14726091

Wage growth is what workers have the strength to wrangle out of their employers. Unions are dead, immigration has a deflationary effect on wages and tech outright makes people redundant.

Low interest rates hasn't produced high wage jobs for 30 years. In fact, wages were higher when interest rates were higher in the period prior to the 1980s.

But the bears will say
>you aren't allowed to cut rates in a strong economy
>if they're cutting rates, it MUST mean the economy is doing poorly
>you aren't allowed to do that !
>it's not fair, they cheated! I was right!
>The things that I did made sense in the old paradigm

same complaints we've been hearing from the perma-bears since approx 2012 will just keep coming. just like any true autistic child, they set up their little scenarios and can't imagine how anything could go otherwise. Then, when things go otherwise, it's everyone else's fault

I mean don't mistake me, I see all the economic uncertainty too. but people are treating SPX 3000 as some impassable sacred barrier. It's just another mile marker on a long road. There will be times ahead that the market will go down, but right now, it's scuttling slowly upwards. All the bear tantrums in the world won't change that

>>

The fed is lying. They're going to throw Jerome in the slammer for perjuring him self during his testimony when he raises rates 20 basis points in 20 minutes time...
>>
>>14726577

They are cutting rates because of the China/US question though AND there is a general slowdown in Europe.

The May trade impasse took a shit on the markets and it looked as if it was going to get worse, but Trump came out and did a big turnaround deal with Mexico and then called Xi and gave out a concession (no more tariffs until G20) for the talks to continue.

Then at G20 he gave away Huawei. He's got nothing in return. In his mind he got promises by China to buy agricultural products while the negotiations continue, but there has been nothing from China to confirm this at all.

If Trump completely caved in on the China question, I have no doubt that the market will become a "rocket ship" as he says.

If all his bluster about evening up trade only came to a slightly better deal though, he has doomed the USA to relinquishing it's no.1 status in the world economy in the late 2020s.

Jerome isn't here to fight China. He just wants to review the data and try and to his best to keep the economy functioning for the largest number of Americans.
Jerome isn't a trader, the primary mission and duties of the federal reserve are only tangentially effected by trade.

besides that main problem with your post, most of your individual points about the status of the US-China trade negotiations are alleged (by you) at best, else wrong.

(I agree with some of the stuff you said in your other posts though. :)

Depends. Q2 earnings are coming up at the end of the month. Lisa Su already said that Q2 is going to be weak for obvious reason (aka the Ryzen 3000 release - nobody is going to buy old shit before a superior new generation is about to released), but Q3 is going to be strong due to Ryzen and Rome releases. If she gives a hint about how Ryzen is selling so far (like hotcakes), it might shoot up. Q3 earnings might be where the real money lies.

Do we have number estimates of AMD's Q2 and Q3 earnings?

>got down to less than 2% crypto this morning before the feds did round two
