That shouldnt be a problem since faces/verts aren't changing. You should be able to import the modified model as a morph for the character.
Though, clothing can be quite stretched out on models with large features. As well as the "painted on" effect that daz is famous for. You could solve that by creating a custom morph for the clothing item, to fit whatever it was you adjusted. Gigantic breasts for example.

Whatever base model you used, export a clothing item for them. The same way you exported the base mesh.

If you made a custom shape from the base shape, you would have had to have had the clothing item attached or invisible or something when inittially creating the shape. There are probably plugins for what you want to do though, depending on what app you are using.

But, if the geometry didn't change. You should be able to import the modified giant tiddy to daz as an obj file through morph loader. Then, apply the clothing to the figure. Daz will "auto fit" the item to whatever shape but it's results are never very good.

Your best bet is to suck it up and learn how to create your own clothes. Or use Marvelous Designer.

Strand hair is capable of any hairstyle, the issue you mention has to do with lacking grooming tools. Don't know specifics about either Daz or Poser, just noting the difference. I wouldn't hope for complex grooming tools in Daz tho, but who knows. Somebody try it and post results.

Shitposting aside, to do that with a cube you need to unwrap it, assign textures to it, and paint on those. I don't know whether DAZ does unwrapping, I think it doesn't from the little experience I had with it. Maybe the default cube comes unwrapped, you can check it by using the UV view instead of Perspective in the viewport, and selecting the surface assigned to the cube IIRC.

But you'll have less of a hard time using Blender, Max, Maya, or any of the others.

I assume you're not really familiar with how materials work and are just editing the clothes textures on disk not changing the actual texture assigned. Just draw your image in MSPaint and put it in the base color of the assigned material on the surface tab. Further down there will be sliders to control vertical and horizontal position of the texture.

My problem is that I mostly need to work with cylinders, not cubes. Things become much more complicated with cylinders, the texture maps for them are always different whenever I look at a premade cylinder prop asset's texture map in the files. I was hoping to generate those for my customly made shapes.
Or is there a way to add multiple textures to the same object? I guess that could solve this.

I dunno, the DAZ Install Manager refuses to install that for me no matter what I do and manual installs don't work for me either.
I assume it's because I pirated PhotoShop or something with that specifically cracked version of PhotoShop interferes with it because the install process made me disable all online connections for it. Maybe a different torrent would work better, but I'd just rather not use that stuff than to find another working PS torrent.

I've never had that problem. Grouping is what I've always used for both scene and wardrobe (fitting test renders for the latter). I'm sorry it doesn't work for you.

This may be a stupid question, but I figure it's worth a shot: Did you make sure that everything you want to hide in a group is actually in said group and that said group is also not parented to anything else in the scene? That's how I've done it in scene-work at least (for groups of clothing I've always had the groups parented to the figure).

How do I use "La Femme - Another Look MATs" in DS? It's a Poser 11 asset.
So far every Poser asset I tried just worked right out of the box. What's different about this one? The skins just won't load when I click on them.

And I also keep getting denied from being able to post on the Daz forum. Does anyone here have experience with DAZ Studio 4.11? I haven't been keeping up with releases, and apparently it's finally out of beta. I'm currently using 4.10 and I have a couple questions and a request if anyone an answer them...

1) Do I lose anything updating to 4.11 from 4.10?

2) Is there anything I should do before updating?

Request: For anyone who's current using 4.11, can you describe the performance of the denoiser in your experience? Like if it's good enough to lower the rendering convergence ratio, by how much if so, and how much time it generally saves you on renders if applicable.

Using system memory is not about speeding up things, it's about making it POSSIBLE to render big scenes that wouldn't fucking fit in your tiny GPU VRAM and therefore wouldn't be able to be rendered on GPU (fuck slow on CPU). Graphics cards with more than 6GB are still expensive while 16GB RAM are kinda average by now.

Yes. You use the geometry editor to make a selection from the object that you want to add a new surface to. After you've made your selection, right click and select Geometry Assignment > Create New Surface. Name it whatever you want. You now have a new totally independent surface you can change to whatever you want on the same object.

Now add one light and set up your camera facing the cube

Now render!
Should be pretty fast
